Ch.69 Ancient Tombs

They rested for a while after doing a fairly exhausting fight. After that they decided to return to the capital of the Northern Fire Empire.

Fang An and the City Governing Council along with the Spear King were currently on their way to return to the capital of the Northern Fire Empire. However, their journey is blocked by someone who emits an extremely powerful murderous aura.

Fang An instantly held the hilt of his sword just in case. "Who are you?" Fang An asked in a cold tone while giving off his murderous aura.

Their murderous auras collided with each other and produced an extremely powerful shockwave. "It seems like big brother didn't exaggerate his story" That person pulled out all of his murderous aura. "Just relax, I'm not going to fight you here, I'm just testing your strength. See you in the ancient region" The man threw a piece of paper and left Fang An.

Seeing that person go Fang An became relieved, he was sure that if he had fought with that person earlier, there was a chance that he would lose. "We'll discuss this when we get to the Capital" Fang An immediately continued on his way.

When he arrived at the Northern Fire imperial palace Fang An immediately gathered the ministers along with the city's governing councils and some of Fang An's closest people.

“I got this paper from someone who seemed to be from the ancient region” Fang An opened his voice breaking the silence. “I have seen the contents of this paper and the contents of this paper is a map. I think the ministers know this what map” Fang An continued while giving the paper to one of the Ministers there.

“This is a map to the ancient tomb?!” The minister was very surprised when he saw the contents of the paper.

“Because you already know the contents I will say what I plan to do. I will resign from the post of interim emperor and will give this post to one of my confidants, Aelfric”

“And also I have killed the emperor of the blue sky empire so automatically the blue sky empire becomes mine and I have the right to appoint anyone to be emperor there. I appointed Grand Elder Fei Tian to become emperor in the Blue Sky empire.”

Fang An spoke firmly. Fang An's words made everyone there surprised. “Sorry for my sassness, but why would your majesty want to resign?” One of the ministers asked politely.

“You're really going to go?” Chu Lian and Fang An were currently sitting together in the palace garden while staring at the stars in the sky.

“I only went for a while, not to leave you forever. Believe me I will definitely return” Fang An rubbed Chu Lian's head slowly.

“I will always wait for you here, never forget me” Chu Lian tried to hold back her tears. He was aware that the ancient region contained many strong people, even people as strong as Fang An were widely scattered in that region.

Fang An did not reply to Chu Lian's words, he simply replied to them with a warm embrace. He also realized that maybe he would experience a lot of difficult battles in the ancient region.

The next day Fang An was already preparing to go to the ancient tomb. He was accompanied by the Spear King and Diablo. Fang An asked the two of them to come along, as he found out in the ancient tomb there were many treasures and valuable heirlooms. Therefore he called the two of them to bring and distribute those precious treasures and heirlooms to the Northern Fire Empire, the Blue Sky Empire, and also the Freedom City.

“You all take good care of yourself.” Fang An spoke with a smile to everyone there and immediately walked away from them.

The location of the ancient tomb was quite a distance away from the Northern Fire Empire. But Fang An, Diablo and the Spear King only spent 8 hours to get to the ancient tomb.

"It looks like this tomb belongs to a Black Stream cultivator" the Spear King commented as he felt a terrifying aura emanating from the tomb before him.

"You just grab the precious things and get out of here" Fang An said, walking towards the entrance of the tomb.
