The Lord's Concubine

The Lord's Concubine
Back to Making Cake

A few days later.

"Farra, your cake is delicious. Isn't Aksa?" Zian smiled at Aksa as he slowly rattled the top of the handsome boy's head.

"Yes, Om. Kak Farra's cake is delicious," said Aksa while smiling widely and showing a row of neatly arranged milk teeth.

"I guess if I sell this cake at work you don't do it, huh?" asked Farra hesitantly.

Farra sat on the porch of Zian's house and joined the two men of different generations. However, just for a moment. Little Aksa instead chose to run in the front yard of Zian's house which was filled with various kinds of plants and trees.

"Of course, Farra. I'm sure your me must be selling. You see, where I work there is only one shop that provides food and drinks for the workers. The only thing he sold was that. Try to make it, tomorrow I will take it to work and I will introduce them to your cake. I'm sure one hundred percent, they'd love it."

Zian smiled widely and he was so sure of his opinion. Seeing the man's smile, Farra got excited. At this time he really needs money to connect his life with Aksa. Because it is impossible if Farra and Aksa continue to depend on Zian who incidentally is none of them.

"But .. I don't have a penny right now, brother. I have no capital to make the cake" said Farra, breathing heavily.

Zian smiled again then patted Farra's shoulder gently. "Heh, that doesn't need to be thought about. Now come with me," Zian asked as he got up from his sitting position and extended his hand to the girl.

"Where, Brother?"

"Buying ingredients to make cakes. Not far, though."

Farra welcomes Zian's hand but only to help him get up from his seat, Farra and Zian release their handrails as they walk towards the man's Pick Up.

"Come, Aksa! Wanna come with it?"

Zian called Aksa who was still running around in his yard and after Aksa approached, he immediately took the boy into his car.

"We're going for a walk, Om?"

"Yes" said Zian.

After Aksa and Farra were sitting sweetly in his car, Zian immediately drove the object towards the largest and most complete stall in his village.

The villagers who had never seen Farra and Aksa began to wonder to Zian. They were curious because for several years Zian lived in the village never once seen his relatives visit.

"Who are they, Zian? Your brother?" ask one of them.

Zian smiled while thinking. It is impossible for him to admit that they are nobody, he and Farra can be in the grebek citizens. By force, Zian lied.

"They're my cousin's sister, Mom. Our parents are brothers. Just like me, they try to find their luck here" said Zian.

Zian smiled and watched Farra and Aksa inside the stall. The brothers are still busy choosing items for baking. And yes, Zian also admitted that Farra was really beautiful.

After a while, Farra finished shopping. Not only Farra, Zian also treat Aksa shopping as much as at the kiosk. After being satisfied with shopping, they immediately returned to Zian's residence.

"Farra," called Zian without turning to the girl.

"Yes, Brother?" Farra turned her head and looked at Zian's face which was still focusing forward carefully.

"If anyone asks who you are, just tell me that you are my cousin's sister, yes," Zian said as he glanced at Farra.

Farra was silent for a moment then nodded slowly. He knew what Zian meant. If the villagers knew that they had nothing to do, Farra could imagine what would happen after that.

"Good, Brother. I understand" said Farra.

Zian smiled warmly then refocused on his car.

. . .

Early in the morning, Farra had woken up from her sleep. As before, he would execute the ingredients so that the cake could be sold tomorrow morning in a warm state.

Farra struggled in Zian's kitchen for quite a while until after a few hours, the work was done. After preparing everything, Farra also wanted to go back to the room to visit Aksa who was still asleep.

However, he paused his intention towards the room and instead stepped towards the vestibule, where Zian was soundly asleep.

Farra looked sadly at the man. He approached Zian and then covered his body. Now the girl was crouching before Zian while looking at the handsome face of the man.

"I'm sorry, brother. Later if I already have money and can rent a house for me and Aksa, I promise I will not trouble you anymore" Farra murmured.

"But, I never felt you were bothering me, Farra."

Farra rounded her eyes, not believing that Zian had heard her words. Farra almost fell in surprise. However, the man quickly held Farra's body back.

"I'm sorry, brother. Because I've disturbed your sleep" Farra said in a panic.

Zian smiled then gently touched both of Farra's cheeks. "Farra, I sincerely help you and Aksa. And I have never felt bothered by your presence here either. Promise me that you won't say that again" Zain said.

"Yes, Brother .. I promise."
