Tok...
"Lake in."
Jevin's door opened. After Jevin himself invited someone who knocked on his door to enter. But his arrival was not welcomed by Jevin, because Jevin was focusing on staring at his laptop screen. Showing his work file.
"Good day Darling."
The voice of a sweet-sounding woman was able to disperse the concentration of Jevin who immediately raised his head towards the beautiful woman who was smiling at him.
Both of Jevin's eyes immediately widened. He also stood up from his seat with a gaze not separated from the woman in front of him.
Slowly the woman began to approach Jevin. And when the woman was standing near Jevin, Jevin immediately took a step forward, avoiding the beautiful woman.
Jevin's gaze straight ahead. He stared at the street from his window. His face was not friendly ever since the woman standing behind him entered his room.
"Why are you coming again?"
The woman smiled. Then step again to get close to Jevin. And this time Jevin didn't dodge anymore but Jevin didn't look back at him at all.
"I miss you Darling."
"That's a damn thing."
"It's been five years we've been"
"STOP ZAILA!" Jevin snapped with a twinkle of anger that could no longer be hidden.
Jevin immediately turned his face away. He really did not like to see a woman who was none other than Zaila in front of him. Hate from the past squeezed in his chest cavity so that Jevin felt very tight.
"It turns out that for five years we didn't meet, you changed a lot, and you're not like you're being taken care of like this, you don't even care about your appearance anymore."
Zaila felt a lot of changes from her cousin which was also her past. The fine hairs on the bottom of Jevin's face were allowed to grow thick even though Jevin always appeared neat by not allowing fine hairs to grow around his face.
Zaila was still looking at Jevin's face which did not look at her at all. The feeling of love that was still in his heart is now growing and developing. What else has now been met face to face with a man who never absent is in his heart.
"Although your appearance changes, but my love will never change, from the past until now it is the same, even-"
"Stop your rant Zaila."
"The door over there, please lift your foot out of this room."
Zaila was not at all frightened when she saw that Jevin's face was completely enveloped in anger. His gaze was no less sharp than a knife incision.
"You sure you want to kick your fiancee out, you sure don't miss your future wife, Darling."
Jevin smiled cynically. "Stop fantasizing about Zaila, you're no one else in my life. And never dream of being my wife. Oh yes and another one just so you know I'm married, and my wife is a much better woman than you."
"I know you're married. But I'm not sure if you've moved on from me, five years together and already engaged, right, it's not possible that soon you forget our sweet memories Darling."
Jevin smiled back cynically. "Yes, I wasted five years with you, but for five years I've forgotten you. So breakeven. And I've really kicked you out of my life. So why did you come again in my life."
It seems that between Jevin and Zaila both hold each other's words. Do not want to lose and impressed there is a serious debate. Discuss matters of heart and feelings.
"I came back to your life because I still love you Darling. And one more thing I want to bill you a promise to me five years ago, you remember?"
Jevin scratched his forehead. He has no intention of remembering his past. Because for him his past is past and forbidden to be remembered again.
"Promise?"
"Yes, you promised to marry me, you remember Darling?. That's why I came back to your life, because I want you to keep your promise to marry me."
I don't know what Jevin was thinking until he laughed without burden as if Zaila's words were a joke. Though not at all. Even Zaila said it with a very serious face.
"Why are you laughing Darling?, I'm serious."
"You're amnesiac or what?, I'm actually too lazy to talk about this. But yes let you be self-conscious and quickly go, if necessary do not need to go back again."
Jevin sighed, then reopened his voice. "Listen carefully to the honorable Miss Zaila. Five years ago you broke off our relationship, arguing that you wanted to be an international model in America. So the promise you're about to charge is down and I don't have any promise debt at all with you."
This time Zaila chose to be silent. He was out of words. More precisely he confirmed Jevin's actual utterance was completely unforgettable in his memory. But somehow Zaila wants Jevin to be hers like he was. Zaila is self-aware. He took Jevin out of his arms and now Zaila is sorry for taking off the man who truly loved her. Zaila felt stupid for wasting a well-meaning man wanting to build a household with her.
"Now I remember, I realized, it was me who cut off our relationship. Because of my selfishness. Because ambition. But Jevin-"
Jevin stomped Zaila's hand violently and touched her arm. Jevin wouldn't be held by a woman who'd hurt him so deeply in the past. Five years of Jevin being tossed about as his heart breaks and falls apart. Even until both parents became victims and it was all because of one woman who was now in front of him.
"Jevin forgive me, I beg you to forgive me for my past mistakes, I have no intention of hurting you in the least. But I was blinded by my own ambition."
"As a good servant, I have forgiven you, for my Lord is also forgiving."
Zaila can breathe a sigh of relief because Jevin has forgiven his past fatal mistakes. That means there's a chance for Zaila to fix her relationship with Jevin.
"Thank you, Jevin, because you've forgiven me, I'm so happy."
"Now please come out. Don't waste my time."
"But Jevin-"
"Get out!"
With a heavy heart Zaila came out of Jevin's room. Actually Zaila still wants to linger with Jevin but the time is not right because Zaila is aware that Jevin has not fully forgiven him. But it's not a big deal for Zaila. Sooner or later Zaila is convinced Jevin will return to his arms.
After the departure of Zaila. Jevin's feelings rumbled violently. Anger still enveloped his heart. Jevin forgave Zaila. But the great mistake Zaila made in the past was heartbreaking and that scar will forever never fade let alone heal. It never will.
"Why did he come back again?, this wound instead of healing was even worse." Jevin held onto his chest that still hurt from the wounds Zaila had cut in the past.
"Astaghfirullahal enzyme."
There was no stopping Jevin stroking his chest to stay calm and not let out a fury that was grabbing about to explode.
❤❤❤
Jevin's footsteps rang out loud, causing Rifda and Rozin to turn towards him. Jevin entered the home of his parents with a hostile face.
"Assalaamu 'alaikum."
"Wa 'alaikumus salaam."
Although being hunted by the fire of anger, it does not make Jevin forget to be polite to his parents. Alternately Jevin kissed Mama and Papa's hands.
"Jevin why are you?, why do you seem to be angry."
Before answering the question from the mother, Jevin chose to sit himself on the sofa right in front of Mama and her Papa.
"Mama and Papa already know, if Zaila has returned to Indonesia?"
Rifda who heard the son's question did not immediately answer. There is fear now suffering. Although Jevin has changed but Rifda is afraid if he discusses Zaila Jevin's atmosphere will not be friendly anymore and more feared Jevin will change as before.
"Yes Vin, yesterday Om and Aunt you too Zaila came here."
"Why did they come back to Indonesia Pa?." Jevin asked in a tone that did not like to hear Zaila with her parents who were none other than her family members also returned to Indonesia. After five years of emigrating to America.
"They said they missed Indonesia, so they came back here again."
"Not making sense, I'm sure that's not the main reason they're back in Indonesia, there's definitely another reason."
"And Zaila also knew that I was married, did Mama and Papa tell her?, or tell her parents?"
Rifda's getting scared. He closed his mouth so as not to say a word. Rozin looked at his wife. Nodding his head while hinting to his wife to answer Jevin's question.
Finally inevitably, Rifda had to answer Jevin's question this time. Rifda hoped he would not answer wrongly. "Mama and Papa didn't tell them, but they knew that you were married from."
"Jevin, Mama's sorry, Mama didn't mean to tell them. I didn't know they were still monitoring my social media. If you knew it would be like this, you wouldn't post anything. Jevin please forgive Mama."
Jevin shook his head many times. He was indeed disappointed by this incident but he was not disappointed at all let alone angry with his mother. And it's not entirely the mother's fault.
"Ma, Mama's not wrong. You don't have to apologize to Jevin." Jevin's words softened. Trying to make her calm and forget her guilt.
"But Jevin, it was the wrong mom. They're back in Indonesia because of Mama."
"No Ma, it's not Mama's fault. You don't feel guilty anymore."
Rozin tried to calm the wife down so as not to feel guilty again. Because Jevin doesn't blame him. Rifda stopped raving with her guilty statement.
"But by the way which Mama post made them come back to Indonesia?"
Jevin was curious about the Mama's post on social media that made Zaila and her parents return to Indonesia.
After opening his social media account, Rifda hesitantly gave his handphone to Jevin. The handphone screen displayed a photo of food, Jevin felt strange because the photo was only food, but Jevin finally found out the reason behind Zaila back to Indonesia, the caption pinned under the photo of the food.
"Oh so this is the reason he's back in Indonesia."
"Jevin Mama's sorry ya-"
"Mama's not wrong Ma, Jevin doesn't want to hear Mama apologize like that."
Finally Rifda stopped talking. He will not say sorry again even though his heart continues to wriggle for him to apologize to the son.
"Basic women don't know themselves. After scraping the wound that was very painful, arbitrarily now even back."
Rifda and Rozin can only look at each other after seeing the look on the face and the glint of Jevin's eyes that show the hatred he has been craving for years.
"It's Vin, don't think about Zaila anymore. Now you just focus on Kasha, your wife. You guys are happy."
"But Pa, her presence makes my heart hot again. I won't live quietly if she's still hanging around in my life."
"DORC!!!"
Jevin was really angry. He wanted to speak harsh words to reduce his anger but Jevin remained aware that now in front of him were his parents and Jevin as a child must be polite in front of both people his old age even though he had already said one bad word with a very loud tone.
Jevin decides to leave his parents' home. Rather than later there will be harsh words that will come out of his mouth without being realized by him himself.
❤❤❤
The sound of the car stopped in front of his house. Rush Kasha opened the door and welcomed the arrival of her husband who had just returned from his office.
"Assalaamu 'alaikum."
"Wa 'alaikumus salaam, alhamdulillah Mas has come home."
Kasha felt something was different with her husband. Kasha did not see a smile on her husband's face. Even the twinkling of love that always filled his eyes seemed to disappear. Kasha saw a flash of anger in the sharp eyes of her husband.
"Why is it?, is there a problem?"
Jevin shook his head slowly. His mood is getting worse. He doesn't even want to talk to Kasha.
"The same story as me."
Kasha doesn't believe that Jevin's no problem. Although Jevin shook his head but his face hinted that he was not okay it meant that trouble was approaching him.
Jevin shook his head again. "Go to the room first."
Kasha nodded. She did not allow her husband to go to her room. As a result Jevin seemed to be sighing harshly. And Kasha realized it.
"Mas why?, don't hide anything from me Mas. What's the problem, ma'am?"
"Yes, there is a problem. But I can't tell a story. Please understand yes. I want to be alone first."
Kasha can't do anything. Nor can he force Jevin to tell him the problem. But as a wife, Kasha is eager to help her husband to deal with his problems but her husband is not willing to share his problems with her.
"Boy to the room?"
Kasha finally allows Jevin to go to their room. But just as Jevin stepped on his feet Kasha immediately held him back.
"Mas as heavy as any problem that you are facing. You have to be patient, lest you can't hold back your anger. Don't let the screams laugh because it made Mas angry."
Jevin nodded, then smiled slightly to reassure Kasha that she would not be burned by the flames of anger. Jevin will not be outdone by the temptation of the sheitans who always whisper to him to vent his anger to the roots.
At least Kasha can breathe a sigh of relief because her husband would take her advice not to vent his anger because of the problems that are perching on her.
