Vara leaned her body on the head of the bed while closing her eyes briefly. She still did not expect that today would come, where she would bear a new title as the wife of a Rangga who used to dislike her so much. Until now, Vara did not know the exact reason why Rangga did not like it in school.
The sound of a door knob opening distracts Vara from the ceiling of her room. He saw Rangga enter the room with a tired face. It seemed like he had just finished talking to the guests present, be it his friends or relatives.
Vara's heart beats faster than usual, this is the first thing for him and Rangga to be in one room in a legitimate bond. Vara took a slow breath while squeezing the tip of the pajamas she was wearing. "Have your friends gone home, Rangga?" Vara asked to shift her nervousness.
Rangga looked at Vara's pale face like there was no blood flowing there. "Already, just got home, why is your face pale?? Are you sick??" Rangga walked towards Vara and sat his body on the edge of the bed.
"Agh, no!" rebut Vara quickly, seeing Rangga's hand will touch his forehead.
Rangga undoes the intention of touching Vara's forehead seeing Vara who is uncomfortable near her. "Okay, I'm gonna take a shower first." Rangga went to grab the towel that Vara had prepared on the dresser. Rangga stopped his steps that would reach the door knob. "The children are already sleeping in the mother's room, so you don't have to worry" said Rangga and Vara just nodded in understanding.
Vara stroked her chest when Rangga was gone from behind the door. Adjacent to Rangga makes Vara unable to control her feelings. Vara felt that if he had started to harbor feelings for Rangga at this time, agh no! Not at this time. Even Vara has harbored a feeling of admiration that turned into love since they were in school first, even though he knew if Rangga really did not like it.
"I think that feeling is gone with the pain that Rangga instilled into me. It turned out that the feeling was still growing and there was always wherever I went far from him." murmured Vara softly.
Vara recalls the first time she met Rangga at school. Vara, who fell because she was nudged by an upperclassman who disliked Vara because of the beauty she had, grimaced in pain because her bleeding elbow was hit by a corner of the school park bench. A firm hand made Vara raise his head and see that Rangga was the owner of the sturdy hand. Without a second thought, Vara immediately received a helping hand from Rangga, Rangga just left before Vara could say thank you.
After the incident, Vara became a secret admirer of Rangga without being known by his three best friends. Vara is always looking for information about Rangga's life, from the start of Rangga who is cold, intelligent and has the talent to play basketball and musical instruments. Vara's admiration for Rangga turned into love as time passed. Just at the time of Vara's second grade, Rangga was elected chairman of the osis, and that makes Vara more difficult to reach Rangga which is increasingly more and more Rangga admirers who are not comparable to him who is just a child of an ordinary office employee.
The pain began to be felt Vara when Rangga began to show dislike to him. Vara does not even know what makes Rangga hate her so much. Every street quarrel, Rangga always just unsheathed his cold gaze to Vara. Plus Audi who always considered him a rival and always humbled him in front of Rangga.
Feelings of love for Rangga began to grave Vara along with the death of his beloved father who made the situation worse Vara. Vara did not even care about Rangga's attitude towards him anymore. He also shuts himself off from friends at school and only turns warm in front of his three best friends, because Vara does not want his three best friends to feel the sadness he feels and add to the burden of their minds.
"Ra?"
The hand of Rangga right in front of his face disperse the daydream of Vara. He saw that Rangga was drying his hair with a small towel in his hand. "Agh, sorry. You need something Rangga?" ask Vara clumsy.
Rangga grunting. "What do you think, huh?? You didn't realize I was calling you Lo?!" ask Rangga.
"Sleep! Looks like you need a break."
"Where do you sleep?" that innocent question just came out of Vara's mouth.
Rangga did not end up thinking with silly questions that he thought Vara should not ask. "Gue sleeps here! Where else do I sleep?! You forget that I'm your husband?!"
"Sorry" he said slowly.
"Lo can even turn stupid in circumstances like this" said Rangga flat.
A fool?
Vara just kept quiet without any intention of chiming in Rangga's words. His chest felt tight to hear the words that had just come out of Rangga's mouth. Rangga can see Vara's eyes that have been flooded even though in a down state.
Rangga approached Vara, raised Vara's chin and covered both of her cheeks. "I'm sorry, forget what I just said." Say soft Rangga .
The tears that were held finally shed. Rangga immediately immersed the tiny body into his embrace. He felt guilty for making Vara cry on their wedding day.
"Hiks... Hix... I'm a fool, Rangga... You shouldn't have married a stupid woman like me.... Huu...." Vara sobbed slowly hitting the chest field Rangga. Either the innate Vara who easily cries or hormones come his month which makes it so easy to take heart Rangga speech.
Rangga loosened his embrace to be able to see Vara's face that had been flooded with tears. It does not reply to Vara's words, Rangga including a stiff man who has never been in love, he is not good at stringing seduction words to calm women so easily. It was just a hug that he did to calm Vara down, as he often saw Bayu do to Mita if she cried.
"Will you cry until tomorrow morning?" ask Rangga flat.
Vara is getting upset to hear Rangga's question, but he chooses not to continue his frustration. Vara looked back at Rangga who was looking at her deeply. "I'm sorry, maybe the coming factors of the month made me unable to control myself... We'd better get some sleep, I know you're gonna be tired all day..." Vara kept her body away from Rangga, tidied up the pillows and bolsters that were slightly scattered, putting the bolster in the middle of the bed. "May you be comfortable sleeping here." Vara smiled.
Rangga nodded and smiled faintly. This child is very easy to change his mood, thought Rangga. Finally they slept with a roll in the middle of them and accompanied by the moon before morning.
