“Yes, you and he will get married!”
Kenanga and Alfin fell silent.everything was immediately silent.
“I want to talk to you.” Kenanga whispers to Meilani.
Kenanga immediately stood up and without a word directly out of the room.
“Sorry, everyone. Excuse me first.” said Meilani. He also went after Kenanga.
Kenanga and Meilani face each other in an empty hallway. Kenanga stared hard at her tant. Meilani was not affected at all.
“What does that mean? Matchmaking?” tanya Kenanga demanded an explanation.
“Iya. You have heard yourself from the mouth of your om.” Answer Meilani.
“It's silly. The matchmaking? Why should I do it?”
“Because it is an agreement between your grandfather and his grandfather doctor Alfin.”
“I don't want to do it.” Kenanga.
Meilani just sniffed her shoulders indifferently, “As far as you are. You can say no to this match. Because actually this matchmaking is not too taken seriously.”
“Means?”
“This matchmaking can be automatically void if any of you are married or have a candidate. Aunty wouldn't have billed this appointment knowing that Alfin's doctor wasn't alone right now. And again, this matchmaking lasted until you were thirty years old. But see? Your birthday is five months away and you still don't have a chaperone. You know how crazy auntie is because of your behavior?”
Kenanga snorted in annoyance, “This is my business. Want me to get married, or not, I take care of it myself.” The drill.
“Tante knows it. But aunt promised your late mother. If aunt will take care of you until thirty years old. He wants you to have someone who will take care of you before the age of thirty. Aunt let you go all this time. Letting you who she says doesn't want to have a boyfriend. But now it was different, the time was almost up. So you marry doctor Alfin or find your own partner in these five months.”
Kenanga lost her sanity because of Meilani's words that were unacceptable to her wits.
“This is too ridiculous. Bullshit.” the thrill.
“Terasu. You're all grown up. You can determine your own life direction. Aunty can only help you get here. You agree or not. It's up to you.”
“I don't want.” firmly Kenanga.
Meilani nods her head, “Oke. Say it yourself inside later.” Meilani immediately left Kenanga.
Kenanga sighed loudly. He's picking up his rough hair.

On the other hand, the silent atmosphere instantly felt so Kenanga and Meilani left. Alfin certainly looked agitated. He then touched my mother's hand.
“There's Alfin talking about.” His whisper.
Mother nodded. She asks her husband and Akra for permission to go out with Alfin for a while. After that the mother and child moved away from the room to a quieter place.
“What's up, Fin?” tanyakanya.
“Mother knows what Alfin wants to talk about.” Alfin.
Mother smiled gently at her child, “Mother knows. This must be very surprising to you. But mother has a reason why mother approves this matchmaking.”
Alfin listened silently.
“Mother wants you not to be entangled in the past anymore. For the past three years, you have suffered greatly. Unable to sleep, unable to get along other than Satya. And that makes you sad. Why should my child experience all this? Why not just mama?”
Alfin held both shoulders of his mother and stared gently at her, “Bun, mother has no right to feel bitter things like this.”
“But you are also not entitled. Had enough. Mother does not want you to continue to drown. It's time you got up. Find your loved ones, find another destiny.”
Alfin remained silent. He knows. He clearly knew what feelings his mother was going through. He is always shadowed by the past. The bitter and terrible memories kept entangling him from all sides until Alfin did not know how to be free.
Mother grasped Alfin's hand and patted him full of tenderness, “Mother will not force you. You guys just got to know each other, too. No need to rush. But if you really object, mother is no problem. Mommy knows, you have your own judgment on this matter.”
Alfin was silent and did not respond. After saying what she wanted to say a long time ago, mother finally left Alfin alone. Allowing his youngest son to think about it.

After only remaining silent for fifteen minutes, Kenanga finally stepped towards the room again. Along the way, she tried to strengthen her stance to say no to this matchmaking. It's too ridiculous and absurd. Her marriage could not be arranged by anyone but her.
But at the door, he met Alfin who was also walking towards him. They were silent at the door. No one opened the door first.
Kenanga finally turned her eyes away. He was about to open the door but Alfin's voice stopped him.
“There's one I want to ask.” Her speech.
Kenanga remained silent with one hand on the door. His gaze was directed in another direction.
“Apakah—“
“I rejected it.” Cut Kenanga now looked at Alfin with her flat face.
Alfin was silent for a moment, “Why?”
Kenanga turned her head, “What do you mean why? This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my life.”
Alfin remained silent. Kenanga raised one eyebrow, “Don't you agree to it?”
Alfin gasped.
“I..have the reason.” Lirih Alfin. Kenanga quietly listened.
“My mother wants to make this match so I can be free from the past. He knew that I had suffered for three years. And I understand his feelings. He hoped that I could find someone else I would love. He wants me to discover my other destiny.” Alfin.
“But I am not your destiny. And I don't want to get married.” Kenanga Tukas.
Alfin nodded slowly. “It's up to you. You have the right to determine your own answer. I just outline my reasons.”
Kenanga smiled in disbelief, “This is ridiculous, you know?” said frustration.
“You don't like being betrothed to me? Am I lacking in your eyes?” ask Alfin.
“Not you the problem. But I.” Kenanga Tukas. “I Abdi countries. You will marry a soldier who will abandon his responsibilities as a wife to protect the country. Whoever it is would not be able to do it.”
“Who said that?”
“Bright? We got married then I was suddenly called to an assignment before the reception was over. I'll leave you until time doesn't know when. We don't know when we can have children. We don't even know who died first.”
“It turns out, Lieutenant Kenanga is really a good wife candidate.” Alfin's comment smiled slightly.
“What?” Kenanga.
“I don't matter. You want a soldier, a businessman, or even a president. I don't matter. You love your job and I will respect her as a husband.”
“So, do not think strangely and let's live like running water only.” Alfin said calmly.
Kenanga turned her face away from Alfin.
“Omong empty.” Kenanga's sizzle immediately opened the door and entered the room leaving Alfin.
Alfin didn't come in right away. He was silent in front of the open door and sighed softly. I don't know when fate will keep playing with him.

Inside, Andra, Mother, Meilani and Akra were waiting for Kenanga and Alfin. Their mouths showed curiosity for their answers. As soon as Kenanga sat down followed by Alfin who had just arrived, Meilani immediately grabbed her.
“So how is the decision?” tanyanya is impatient.
Kenanga just fell silent. stared flat at Alfin who was also still silent.
Tuk tuk
Meilani knocks on the table, “Hello, just shut up?” tanyanya's confused.
“I handed it to Let—Kenanga.” Alfin looked at Kenanga.
Now all attention is on Kenanga. The twenty-nine-year-old woman stared intently at Alfin. How could the man leave the decision to her.
“Kenanga? How?” ask Mother gently.
Kenanga turned to look at her mother. His heart immediately melted to see that gentle and soothing mother's smile.
“Kenanga agrees?” ask her again waiting for her answer calmly.
Kenanga looked at the mother as if bewitched. He immediately nodded.
“You agree?” exclaim Meilani happy. Alfie looked surprised.
Kenanga jerks. He looked at Meilani with a surprised look.
“Ti-no, sa-me..”.
“Yes! Alena, we're gonna be besan!” cheers Meilani happy. He hugged mom. Akra and Andra also smiled happily and embraced each other.
And behind the euphoria of pleasure, Alfin noticed Kenanga's reaction. In his vision, Kenanga looked unhappy. The answer seemed unintentional.
And a second later, Kenanga turned her face. He looked at Alfin who had been staring at him.

After dinner, Kenanga went straight to her apartment. He was really upset with Meilani and did not want to come home. The woman still regretted the involuntary decision.
As soon as he entered the room, Kenanga immediately threw her body into the bed. She doesn't care even though her make-up hasn't been removed. Kenanga continued to sigh violently. He wants time to play!
“Arggh!! How can I nod?!” he was angry at himself.
This was because he was enchanted with Alfin's mother's smile. If Kenanga can describe it, Alena's smile is like an oasis. His dry and empty heart was instantly overwhelmed with warmth by his smile. Kenanga felt seeing her mother's features on Alena's face made her unable to control herself and her feelings.
But still. She is not ready to marry anyone she does not like.
“Why did this happen to me?!” lirih Kenanga frustrated. He ruffled his hair.
Drrt
Kenanga took her phone in her bag. There was a video call from his best friend. A good time to talk. Kenanga clucked in annoyance.
Kenanga received the phone and her best friend's face immediately appeared on the screen.
“Hai , Lieutenant Kenanga!” sapanya cheerful.
“Hem.” Reply Kenanga lazy.
The interlocutor's lips immediately pursed, “Hei, your friend greeted you cheerfully from Harare, Zimbabwe. You should be happy a little.” His grunt.
Kenanga smiled forcefully, “Hai, Siska! Satisfied?” his face immediately flattened back.
“Hehehe, satisfied.” Happy chuckles.
Kenanga's best friend was named Siska, one of the military doctors as well. They first met during a peace operation in Cambodia a few years ago. This cheerful and easy-to-be-friend Siska really likes Kenanga whom she values as a tough woman. And thanks to his persistence breaking into Kenanga's defensive wall, Siska was finally able to make friends with Kenanga. Their friendship has been preserved until now.
“But you don't look happy? Wh why? Any problems?” ask Siska. This is not liked by Kenanga, Siska is too sensitive in realizing the situation. And Kenanga had to tell him that Siska was curious.
“Nothing. I guess I'm just tired.” Kill Kenanga.
“Hem, that makes a lot of sense. Thirty years old, your energy is almost reaching the energy of mothers.” Ejek Siska's.
“My body is not that weak.” said Kenanga upset.
“Hahaha, yes-yes. Lieutenant Kenanga will achieve the stamina equivalent of mothers aged forty later in their seventies.” Chortled.
“If I live long.”
“Siska will pray for Lieutenant Kenanga to live a long life in order to eradicate many criminals. Later when you get to the age of a hundred, I help celebrate.” Candanya.
“You sure? Maybe I prepared your funeral first.” Kenanga Tukas.
Siska clucked, "Basar sucks" he said annoyed.
The corner of Kenanga's lips lifted up a little, "When are you coming back?" ask Kenanga.
"Three more months." he lamented.
Kenanga nodded, "Oh."
Siska gave a rude snort, "I'm leaving."
"Hem, be careful there."
Siska smiled broadly, "Kenanga Containers!"
"Hem."
And the connection was cut. Kenanga put her phone on the nightstand while she went to the bathroom.

The next morning, Kenanga got ready for work. He came out of the apartment and was waiting for the elevator.
The elevator stopped on the seventh floor, where it stood. Until the elevator door opened, someone stood in front of the door with a shocked expression.
"Sister Anggi?"
