The LOVE Of Guardian's
Chapter 21. (Do not) Cancel

ting

Alfin was surprised when he saw Kenanga standing in front of him waiting for the elevator. Kenanga also looked surprised. Didn't expect to see Alfin again.

But the look of Kenanga returned flat and went straight into the elevator. They stand in line.

"I didn't expect to see you" Alfin said.

"Hem." reply Kenanga briefly.

"So don't live here?"

Kenanga just nodded.

"You too?" ask Kenanga.

Now it was Alfin who nodded, "I just moved."

I remember looking ordinary, "Oh."

"On yesterday, cancel it." said Alfin.

Kenanga looked up, "Why?"

"Because sister also unintentionally agreed to it."

Kenanga sighed softly, "It can't be pulled anymore."

"Why?" ask Alfin.

"Because our family will be sad. Especially bundamu. I don't want to make him sad."

"Huh?"

"I like Aunt Alena." said Kenanga steadily.

"Sister Anggi likes my mother?" alfin asked still in disbelief.

Kenanga nodded, "He's kind and it would be nice if I had a prospective in-law like him."

Alfin smiled slightly, "He must have thought so too. How nice it would be to have a daughter-in-law like a sister."

He again sighed softly, "I am not fit to be a wife."

"I have many shortcomings. My job of being an active soldier will drain all of our time. If you're ready to get married without feeling married, then I agree."

"Married without feeling married?" alfin asked confusedly.

"I'm not going to be with you all I want. I'll go off duty and the time doesn't know until when. I don't have much time at home. And because of that, it will be very difficult to find stability in our relationship. You'll feel like this is always next to you."

"Why do you always talk like this? Why do we always talk about lack?" ask Alfin.

"Because that means I'm not your destiny. We do not match because it is very different." concluded Kenanga.

"Isn't marriage like the concept of complementarity? Differences exist to unite each other. No one is the same as their partner. Everything is different and that is the meaning of marriage. To complement each other." Alfin said.

"But I just pity you." Kenanga replied.

"I don't need to be pitied. If indeed you do not want to be his brother should have changed it yesterday. Why leave this mistake to me?" reply Alfin with a slightly high tone.

"Why get angry?"

"I'm not angry. I'm just disappointed that you can't account for what you said. Brother always talks about the shortcomings of brother. I told you it doesn't matter. If this continues, we better cancel it!" alfin said straight out of the elevator as soon as he reached the lobby.

And Kenanga just stood still, in disbelief with Alfin's actions that just left.

***

Alfin entered his room in a bad mood. He simply threw his briefcase at the table and sat down in his chair. He's massaging the base of his nose.

Alfin was still in anger. I don't know why he was angry. He should not be angry but Kenanga's tugging words like that provoked her emotions. In his behavior, Kenanga should be more mature.

Tok Tok Tok

Satya came in not according to time. The man did not realize that his friend's mood was bad and did not want to be disturbed.

"Eh Fin, I just got word from Siska that she's coming back in three months" Satya said as she sat in front of Alfin.

"Hem." replied Alfin lazily.

"What's wrong with you? It hurt?" satya asked, getting more sensitive.

Alfin shook his head slowly.

"Satya." call Alfin after. He stood up straight looking at Satya.

"What?" tanya Satya relaxed while focusing on playing her phone.

"Forget it." said Alfin flatly.

"What the hell is that? Why ambekan?" satya asked.

Alfin cleared his throat briefly, he looked back at Satya.

"Are all women difficult to understand?" tanyakanya.

"Huh? Sure oes. Women are like math. If you don't understand the problem then you won't know the formula and you can't finally answer it. But if you understand the problem and know how the solution formula is then you will be able to answer it." explained Satya.

"How is it?" ask Alfin curiously.

"You have to understand the cause of the consequences." said Satya.

"cause of consequences?" Satya nodded.

"There's a reason why women are angry with us. Because he is pms. Well we have to understand that pms women are indeed sensitive so we should not be offended by them. We should talk softly, just make him happy. Then he won't be angry anymore."

Alfin nodded his head.

"Then when it comes to women who always talk about their flaws, how do we deal with them?" ask Alfin.

Satya was silent thinking, "Hem. Sometimes it's really annoying that our girlfriends are always insecure. But that was because he did not want to lose. So instead of being fought, we have to embrace it. Say no problem with any shortcomings. We are looking for a partner to support us. And if he asks for a break up, don't listen! Close ears. If you listen, then he'll feel inferior."

"Like, do we accept the lack?"

Satya nodded steadily.

"Unless we're not in love, it doesn't matter." he continued indifferently.

"Ah so." nods Alfin understood.

"But why are you asking?" satya asked only recently.

Alfin gasped, he shook his head.

"I'm just asking." she said.

"Liar, tell me who you're dating?" satya asked suspiciously.

"none. I don't date anyone." Alfin's misbehaving.

Satya chuckled little, "You won't be able to trick a love docer like me. Tell me who's the guy?" exacting.

"No." Alfin said.

"Say! Don't hide secrets from me."

"Nothing."

"Say!"

"Nothing."

"Alfin!" satya Whine.

Alfin snorted, "Go." kicked him out.

"I won't leave until you say it." concluded Satya.

"You're a doctor, don't eat blind paychecks" Alfin said.

"Then just tell me, what's so hard?!" satya's reply was not to lose.

Alfin snorted in annoyance.

drrt

The right time. Satya is called by her assistant because there is a patient.

"Don't be happy just yet. I'll ask again after I'm done." said Satya.

"Go away." drive Alfin to shake his hand.

"I'm serious Fin." said Satya as she walked towards the door.

"I'm serious Fin. We've been friends for years, you have to tell me." pressed Satya whose head was still peeking at the door.

"God!" alfin shouted about to throw his shoes.

Satya was wide-eyed, she immediately closed the door.

Kenanga fell silent at her desk. He daydreamed and his hand knocked on the table.

"Lieutenant, said the Captain let's start the meeting." pinched Panji on the doorstep.

But there was no response from Kenanga, until Panji decided to approach her. Looks cool Kenanga daydreaming.

tuk

Panji knocks on the table. Kenanga was shocked.

"What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Why dream?" ask back to Panji.

"Nothing." said Kenanga. "So what's up here?" tanyanya diverted the conversation.

"Say Captain, let's start the meeting." replied Panji.

"Ah okay." reply Kenanga. He immediately stood up and tidied up his equipment.

After that he and Panji left the room.

***

Rajawali team finishes meeting. While cleaning up the equipment, they chatted lightly.

"I want a marriage proposal, letda. But I still doubt." Angga told Riko. Riko is the only member of the Rajawali Team who is married.

"Why? Afraid to leave your wife's child?" guess Riko's on target.

Angga nodded, "Our work is very much dangerous. Every time I go on duty, I always feel like death is lurking behind me. And if I die while on duty, I cannot bear to leave my family." Angga said worriedly.

Riko simply smiled, "You're Angga's misthink. People always assume that. Marriage to the army is bad. Will continue to be left, thankfully if left continue to go home. Lah this left the duty and go home just a name, how? Hence such a state of thought, I had trouble convincing my father-in-law."

"So what's the solution?" ask Angga.

"Yes stop such perception. If the sizzle is left, it could be the singles soldiers continue." kekeh Riko. "You should be grateful, have found a partner who accepts you for who you are and understands your work. Such a couple should be preserved." he continued.

"Building marriage is the same. It just takes determination, trust and love. That's it already. Age, sustenance and death are not to be worried. Did anyone ever tell you that you're a short-lived soldier?"

Angga.

"Well it could be, other non-soldiers are much shorter. Have you ever seen a soldier or full-soldier who is already dusk and still healthy until now?"

"Ear, bang." answered Angga.

"So what's worrying about? Leave everything to God. God rules our affairs of death. We just have to pray that we are given safety, health and happiness. That's it, I'm bothered." said Riko. Panji.

"So do you want to continue or not?" ask him on Panji.

"Continue, bang." Panji insisted. Now he was more determined after hearing Riko's advice.

"Good that. Quickly deal. Don't procrastinate. Pity your future wife."

"Ready bang." said Panji.

"Well, Letda Riko is good at talking." said Bagas.

"Ah, I'm just talking from experience, Kapt. Experience is the best teacher." said Riko low.

"After hearing Letda Riko's advice, I want to get married" Dani said.

"Me too." said Panji enthusiastically.

"If Dani is with her personality, it won't be a problem getting married soon. He can get whoever he wants. But if you, Panji, I suggest you better improve your personality. Don't like to play with women." chirps Kenanga.

Everyone laughed loudly at it. And Panji can only scowl.

"Easy on." leerai Bagas. "There's still a few hours left before the mission. Please enjoy your leisure time, we meet again at seven o'clock." continued Bagas.

"Ready captain."

"Let's have lunch." proposes Panji.

Dani, Riko, Angga and Bagas nodded in agreement.

"How's letnan?" tanya Panji looked at Kenanga.

Kenanga who was cleaning up the equipment immediately nodded.

"If so, I order a place first." said Panji immediately out of the room.

"We're waiting outside, lieutenant." said Riko.

"Hem." nods Kenanga.

All the members except for Kenanga came out of the room. Kenanga is still cleaning her equipment.

When the equipment was in order, Kenanga got a phone call from an unknown number.

"Hello, good afternoon. Can anyone help?"

"Hello Kenanga, this is mom."

Kenanga froze when the owner of the number introduced himself.

"Auntie...Alena?"

***

I arrived at a cake shop. She was asked by Mother to meet him at once for lunch together. An unenviable Kenanga refused, eventually agreeing to it. Let him send a message to his colleagues if he does not come to lunch together.

Kenanga went into the cake shop. The fragrant and sweet aroma of freshly baked cakes arouses the taste of Kenanga.

"Kenanga." call Alena who just came from the kitchen.

"Good day, aunt." hello Kenanga politely.

"Aunty yet again? call mom." said Alena.

Kenanga nodded doubtfully, "Well, bun.da."

Alena smiled happily. He brought Kenanga to sit in one of the chairs.

"I'm sorry you told me to come here. Must be a long way from the base, right?" alena felt guilty.

"It's okay mom" said Kenanga.

Alena brought lunch. Kenanga and Alena had lunch first at Alena's pastry shop.

At lunch, Alena opened the conversation again.

"You seem to know each other."

Kenanga was silent for a moment, she then nodded.

"How do you know each other?" tanyakanya.

Three years ago, when we accidentally slept together

"My partner accidentally injured Alfin during an afternoon workout" Kenanga replied not according to her real answer.

Alena nodded her head.

"Actually, mother including lucky parents. Mother is always surrounded by amazing daughters-in-law. Her brother-in-law Alfin, was a non-Muslim but in the end she converted. At first the marriage was in doubt, but the mother was sure that they were paired. Mother accepts even though she is not Muslim. But in the end, it all ended beautifully for their relationship. Mommy doesn't regret your decision to approve them."

Kenanga listened with focus.

"And now, the mother is again faced with a similar case. Prospective mother-in-law is not from the ordinary. He's a military soldier who's been serving the country for years."

"What comes to mind when you hear my work?" ask Kenanga in a cautious tone.

Alena smiled, "What do you think? of course admire you. Mommy thinks that if Alfin gets married to you then you will have another great daughter-in-law. Mother was very happy to think about it."

"But my job is full of risks. I could have even died on the battlefield." said Kenanga.

"Death is a natural event that every living thing will experience. Why are you worried about him?"

"I just don't want my husband and son to be sad. I don't want to burden them." I'm Kenanga.

"Kenanga," mother gently touched Kenanga's hand, "Sad that's for sure but behind it all, they will still be proud. That my mother is a hero who protects the sovereignty of the country. My mother could have stayed home and produced nothing. But my mother chose to go to war risking her life. Who is the proud child? Will the marriage be forever? Will the couple die at the same time? What if Alfin's gone first?"

Kenanga.

"Mother knows your worries. You guys haven't loved each other either. But if you may boast of Alfin a little. He was the best man to be made a husband. Alfin accepted what it was. He did not care even if his partner was older. If you can tell a little, Alfin had a lover three years ago. But the bad thing is, he died."

Kenanga had heard this sad story.

"He loved this lover. Although the mother only met a few times but the mother can see that she is a good woman. Alfin willingly flew in the morning blind far away to meet his lover. Their love strengthens each other's waiting times. Alfin had a fatal accident, and his lover wanted to accompany him. But Alfin rejected her and told her to focus on the exam. Until the exam period is over, her boyfriend returns to Indonesia to see her."

"Mothers can feel their connection to each other. Alfin is loyal to his lover, no matter what trials shake him. So you feel sad when Alfin loses the person he loves." said mother lirih.

"Yet, Alfin is still not fully recovered. Behind his cheerfulness, his smile, he still kept a deep wound. Alfin needs someone strong. A person who patiently accompanied him through a period of injury. Someone who will heal him with another love. And you are the one."

Kenanga remained silent and did not answer.

"Why, will you promise me?" alena Pinta.

"Promise?" kenanga.

Alena nodded. "Please promise to help Alfin find himself again. Glued the broken piece of his heart."

"I..." Kenanga lost her words.

"promise, son. Mother please." pinta Alena expectantly.

Kenanga was worried. After a long silence, he nodded his head.

"I promise."

And Alena immediately hugged him full of gratitude. Kenanga's heart warmed up again by Alena's embrace.

Nightfall. As promised, Tim Rajawali gathered in front of a nightclub. The members with different looks began to spread throughout the club. When it managed to find their target, Bagas spoke through the earphice.

"Mission start."

They're doing a spy operation to get information. And that became the eyes of their ears of course Kenanga. She should approach their target by dressing sexy like any other visitor.

After hours of walking missions, Kenanga began to lose her consciousness. He had to drink alcohol while scraping through information. He was tired so he got drunk.

The mission was successful. Their targets have been rounded up by the police based on their information. They caught up with Kenanga who was stoned on the table.

Kenanga was still a little aware, she asked to be dropped off in her apartment only. They drove it to the apartment.

Kenanga did not want to be accompanied, she forced alone. Finally the team left after delivering it to the elevator door.

Kenanga pressed down on the seventh floor. He stood leaning against the elevator wall.

Ting

Open elevator. Kenanga immediately staggered towards one of the units. The woman was barefoot with her shoes on.

Tok

Kenanga knocked on the door hard. Long enough, until someone finally appeared behind the door.

Someone was Alfin, he was surprised to see Kenanga standing at his door drunk.

"Sister Anggi?" shocks shouts.

"Watch?" kenanga laughed to herself. "I'm Anggi. Alfin, I'm pulling my words" he said indistinctly.

"What do you mean?" alfin asked confusedly.

"Don't cancel" he replied.

bruccous

Remember, he hit Alfin's chest. Alfin who was not ready, immediately fell backwards with Kenanga on top of his body.

"Sister Anggi?" said panic. He was shocked at their position.

But Kenanga did not answer. He's been fast asleep.
