Kenanga walked out of Siska's room. In his heart he mumbled at the woman's behavior. He had told her to come at night and there was no trace of chocolate.
"I'm just wasting my time." - sighed Kenanga regretted.
Kenanga walked with one hand massaging the base of her nose. He's getting tired.
"Doctors are so incompetent! Why can't you save my father? Why did you kill him?!"
Kenanga stopped when she heard that angry scream. He looked to his left, saw a woman crying and a man pulling a doctor's collar. And the doctor looked down and continued to apologize but was not touched by them.
"If I'm sorry I can give my father back, I'll take it. But no, doctor! My father is still dead!" the man shouted accompanied by the voice of the woman's cry, apparently they were husband and wife and were grieving the loss of one of the family members.
"I'm sorry sir, ma'am. But I've tried everything possible. The bleeding was severe and the blood vessels had ruptured plus some nerves in his brain were no longer functioning. We as doctors can only do our best but it all comes back to God, God determines our dead lives." explained the doctor and his voice was recognized by Kenanga. He's Alfin.
The man seemed to cry even though his hand still pulled Alfin's collar, "I still don't want to. The doctor must be responsible!"
The man was intending to punch Alfin and Kenanga gasped at him. He was about to advance but several nurses and doctors came out of the room and immediately stopped the man. They were separated immediately.
"I'm really sorry but I've been trying to save him. But fate says otherwise, your father must die!" alfin was frustrated. "I'm sad too but what else can I do? I am not a God who can take away even the life of a human!"
"You're just incompetent, stop saying all that. It's all your fault! You trash doctor!" reply to the man.
And Kenanga watched it all. How Alfin continues to be cornered and blamed by the foreign man. And Kenanga did not accept with all the man's words that were aired on Alfin.
Kenanga wanted to move forward again but just a step, she stopped.
"What are you doing? It's none of your business." her mind reminded.
Kenanga. He glanced at Alfin who was still in a row with his patient's family. Kenanga also glanced at all the doctors and nurses who helped Alfin there.
"Much helped him. It's none of my business anyway." break up Kenanga finally turned around. He walked without looking back.
And it turns out that Kenanga still interfered in the end.
****
And after that incident, Alfin and Kenanga got closer. Near in a sense, both Kenanga and Alfin have received each other's presence even though love does not yet exist. But at least within the standard limits of Kenanga, Alfin has been allowed to enter part of its territory.
And for these weeks, Kenanga and Alfin were busy preparing for their wedding. Although their work is both busy but they can still take the time to take care of it. Alfin and Kenanga do not always meet, they actually separate the work that can be handled alone and together.
Kenanga has rarely appeared at headquarters. Other than that their team is not on duty and there are only ordinary meetings, Beyond that, Kenanga almost never shows up. And it invites a sense of confusion from his colleagues.
But this morning Kenanga came to the headquarters, because there was work she had to finish.
Kenanga was focusing on typing on her laptop when Panji came knocking on the door. The man immediately approached the senior.
"Lately the Lieutenant doesn't show up often at the base, is hectic?" tanya Panji sat next to Kenanga.
"Hem." replied Kenanga remained focused on her work.
"Busy what?" ask Panji curiously.
Kenanga stared at Panji flatly, "It's none of your business."
Panji pissed off.
Soon, Angga and Riko show up. They sat in front of Kenanga and Panji.
"Lieutenant, where have you been? Lately I haven't seen each other very often." said Riko.
"Hem, I have. Where's Dani?" ask Kenanga.
"Ah, Dani is teaching her juniors." replied Riko. Kenanga just nodded her head.
After that, Bagas also just came. The man immediately sat in his place while greeting his comrades. But he was stunned to find Kenanga among them as well.
"Lieutenant, where have you been? I thought you were swallowed by the waves." said Bagas.
"I have, Kapt. Just busy taking care of something." answered Kenanga.
"Take care of what?" tanya Panji was still curious.
"What's obviously not taking care of ex-girlfriends like you." interrupted Angga spicy.
Panji grunts asphalt. No matter where the topic is, he is always the one being cornered.
"Oh yes captain, it just so happens that you have come." chirped Riko cheerfully.
Bagas suddenly cleared his throat, "I suddenly have a strange premonition, what is it?" tanyanya alert.
Riko scowled, "Yesterday you said that you liked one of the female soldiers in Kopasus right? Well for a few weeks now Panji and I have been finding out and gathering all the information of the kowad. Please look at it and show me which photos have caught your attention." explained Riko. The man held dozens of photos of the female soldiers one by one. And in an instant, their long table was covered in photographs.
"We did a good job, right?" timpal Panji is proud.
Kenanga, Angga especially Bagas was flabbergasted to see it while Riko and Bagas were happy with their achievements.
"If the others find out, you'll be misunderstood as perverted criminals." Kenanga's comments still don't believe what she's seeing right now.
Angga nodded approvingly, "You guys are amazing." he praised in astonishment.
"How do you guys do it? You robbed the personnel office or worse hacked their computers?" ask Bagas.
Riko and Panji just smiled broadly, "We have members who are geniuses about programming and hacking, so we use them for good" Riko said casually.
"You're saying this is for the good?" exclaim Angga not believe.
"So Kapt, which photo to choose? We really want to know." said Riko ignored Angga's remarks.
"Yes right, who knows we can help, right?" timpal Panji while elbowing Angga to say yes.
"Right, Kapt, suddenly I also became very curious." Angga nodded.
Bagas. He looked at all his co-workers who were staring at him as if he wanted to strip him of his life. Kenanga even waited for their Captain's answer.
Bagas could only breathe out slowly. His head was dizzy with the behavior of all his members.
"Come kapt, quickly choose." urged Riko almost died curious.
Bagas just shut up. Then he started looking around. He chose one photo after another. Unselected photos, he smoothed them into one. Keep piling it up until there are no photos left. Everyone frowned in confusion.
"This what does it mean?" ask Riko.
"That means no one likes the Captain." replied Kenanga. Bagas nodded in confirming.
"Then if the picture is not there then who does the Captain mean? The photos are all female soldiers who are still single in Kopasus" said Riko confused.
"You sure it's all?" sela Bagas's.
"Huh?"
"Maybe someone missed?" timpal Angga's.
The pennant scratched his head in confusion, "I think it's all. Ah, except.." Panji glanced at Kenanga.
Kenanga pointed to herself.
Riko realized the meaning, she shook her hand. "Eh there's no way the captain likes Lieutenant Kenanga. Although Lieutenant Kenanga is very beautiful, it is still strange to marry a 'family' of her own. You guys don't fit." said Riko.
"In a sense, you are only suitable as a dream couple but not suitable as a couple in the real world." said Angga. Panji nodded in agreement with the opinions of the two colleagues.
"Do not just talk, we put professionalism above personal relationships" Kenanga said.
"But what's wrong? We are not really a blood-bound family." Bagas said.
Kenanga, Angga, Panji and Riko instantly stared at Bagas. The bagas that were stared at was strange, could only grin.
"I'm kidding. Don't take it seriously, is it Lieutenant?"
Kenanga nodded steadily, "Can't because we're family." she said. But thanks to that remark, the corner of Bagas' lips came down without anyone noticing.
"Good then. Captain take it easy, we'll help you reach for your love. We are ready to be your matchmaker." said Riko with confidence.
Bagas just smiled forcefully, "Hem, thank you" he said skeptically. "I went to a meeting with the boss first." he suddenly left.
After Bagas died, Riko, Panji and Angga immediately held an impromptu meeting. They even attracted the same Kenanga as well as not interested in joining the discussion.
"If you don't know what about us?" angga reply was equally confused.
Riko sighed and the other two men sighed. Kenanga just stared flatly at the three colleagues.

The family dinner is back in the title between the Alfin and Kenanga families. But now with the addition of other family members. Like Alan and Kansha who came all the way from Seoul because they were on vacation and also some other family members from the Kenanga party. Kenanga doesn't know who but her aunt says she's a special guest.
Now, both sides of the family have gathered at the restaurant promised before. Just waiting for another person to be invited by Meilani.
"So, Kenanga, I heard you are three years older than Alfin and obviously older than us by a year" Kansha said.
Kenanga nodded, she understood the meaning. "You are the brother of Alfin, call me as free as you" said Kenanga.
Kansha nodded with her bright smile, "Well, I will call you Kenanga only, no problem right?" Kenanga just nodded.
"Good! Hi Kenanga, I'm Kansha." exclaimed Kansha cheerfully. He did not say any more formal words.
Kenanga was quite surprised by the sudden change but Alfin interjected to explain what happened.
"My sister is pregnant with her second child. And every time she gets pregnant, she's always weird. It's like having two personalities."
Kansha glared sharply at her sister-in-law, "What did you say?"
"What's? It's true, isn't it? Ask Alan." tell Alfin to relax.
Alan who was drinking immediately choked as Kansha looked at him sharply, "What dear?" tanyanya.
"Said I was weird and made things difficult for you, right?"
Alan turned his back, he shook his head loudly, "When am I talking?"
Kansha glanced at Alfin and Alan immediately shook his sister's head. Kansha smiled triumphantly.
Kenanga smiled faintly at the interaction of the three. And Alfin was stunned when he saw that smile.
"You smiling?" ask Alfin.
Kenanga flinched, she immediately let out her smile.
"No." he answered flatly.
Alfin was about to reply when the door opened and a man came. Kenanga's face became much colder when she found out who had come.
"I'm sorry I'm late" said Kenanga's father, Rifal.
"It's okay. We're just getting started." replied Andra kindly to his future besi.
"Please sit down, brother." said Akra.
Rifal was in the last seat. Next to Kenanga who sat stiffly. Then one by one sit down.
"Include me Rifal Wiryaatma, my papa Kenanga. I'm sorry I didn't come over for dinner last night" Rifal said.
"It's okay. Akra has said that his father is very busy. I'm happy because today you can attend." replied Andra.
"Of course I have to come, this is my daughter's wedding." said Rifal looked at Kenanga with a smile but her smile immediately disappeared when he saw the flat-faced Kenanga.
"So you must be Alfin, right?" tanya Rifal switched the conversation. Alfin nodded.
"Right, um." said Alfin politely.
"You're very polite." praised Rifal, "Although this is an arranged marriage, but you're a very responsible person right?" ask Rifal again.
Alfin was about to answer but Kenanga interrupted him.
"We'll see later but at least he's not like someone who leaves in hard times."
Rifal. Meilani elbows Kenanga but Kenanga remains flat-faced.
Rifal smiled stiffly at this sudden silence.
"You know Kenanga's job? Her job is not usually done by women but do not worry, she is still a woman" said Rifal chuckled trying to melt this ice. Akra chuckled with his brother.
"I already know what kind and how the sister-Kenanga work. I am so proud and amazed by him."
"Alfin had his own sense of how I work. And he's so amazing. The one who was supposed to save was saved by him when death came. That's what makes me believe that a typical man should be looking for by a female army like me." Kenanga looked at Rifal, "Which willingly offered her back to protect her precious person." her his his sizzle was full of emphasis.
Rifal fell silent to the satire full of Kenanga. Because he knows it's for him.
"He's gonna be the best husband and father, right?" asked Kenanga to glance at Alfin.
Alfin was silent for a moment then nodded stiffly. He did not understand the tension of this tension. Everyone did not even dare to speak. Dissolved in the cold atmosphere issued Kenanga.
"Well, Alfin will obviously be a good husband and father, like his father." chirped Akra, turning the conversation. Andra smiled hearing that.
"So we continue our conversation? Where do you want to get married?" tanya Akra looked at Kenanga and Alfin alternately.
***
After dinner, Alfin drove Kenanga home with Alan. The atmosphere in the car was very quiet. Alan who sat beside Alfin glanced at the back glass, looking at Kenanga who was silent while staring at the scene outside the window.
"Ekhem, Miss Kenanga?" call Alan.
"Call me Kenanga." answered Kenanga indifferently.
"okay, Kenanga. I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous but I'm really curious, so may I ask you something?" the door with caution.
Alfin hit his brother's thigh, not to delay. Alan just slicked his shoulders.
"Please." But unexpectedly Kenanga answered yes.
"Do you have a problem with your papa?" alan asked in a much more careful tone.
Plaques
Now Alfin clapped Alan's thighs much harder until his brother complained of pain.
Still no answer from Kenanga, Alfin glanced at her from the glass. She looked worried because of her brother's sensitive question.
"Sorry brother, don't answer the question." said Alfin.
"Yes, I just asked. Sorry if it's too offensive-"
"She's the person I hate most since High School" Kenanga said. Alfin and Alan exchanged a glance.
"There was a problem that made me lose faith. That is the problem that is destroying my family. And that problem was caused by my papa. So he's the person I hate the most in this world." continued Kenanga in a flat tone.
"What is that problem?" ask Alan slowly.
"I can't tell you because I don't want to remember it anymore."
"Whatever it is, it is not good to continue to be hostile to your own parents. I didn't mean to patronize you, but my wife also had the same problem, the difference between her parents who hated her. But it's all just a misunderstanding. And it can be solved by talking from heart to heart. You just need to take the first step." Alan suggested.
"How long have they hated each other?" ask Kenanga.
"Twenty years." replied Alan.
"I just hated it for ten years, there's ten more years left" Kenanga said lightly.
"But still, being hostile for so long is not good let alone you are father and son. If you can't do it alone, your mother can help, right? Mother is the best mediator."
"I don't have a mother. My papa killed him. And also kill my heart." said Kenanga quietly.
Alan closed his mouth. Alfin looked at his brother to stop talking.
"I'm sorry." said Alan.
Kenanga sighed softly, "What I want to say is, if sorry is enough to bring back all that was lost, then I've done it a long time ago. If time can cure, then I have recovered from the past. But in reality it's not. You must clearly understand this feeling, that time and forgiveness are not always a cure for wounds." Kenanga said.
In silence, Alfin nodded in agreement.
