The Love of the Unknown Man

The Love of the Unknown Man
4. Advice Juna

Edgar's body froze motionless as the wolf howled as if inviting his flock.

And sure enough, about five other wolves emerged from behind the trees besieging the frightened Edgar.

With great difficulty Edgar took one step back. He swallowed the saliva, circulated his gaze, then threw a hunk of stone.

However, instead of running away, the wolf growled and braved to show off its pointy teeth.

Edgar's body trembled. The only thing that occurred to her mind was running away. However, only a few meters away ran, he tripped over the tree roots which made him fall smelling the ground.

One wolf who was at the front opened his mouth wide ready to hit Edgar who shouted in fear.

And suddenly Juna came directly to hit the wolf using a stick. He stuck out one more hand clutching the torch, and pointed it at the wolf pack trying to get close.

“Daddy, be careful!” shouted Lisa who was worried to see Juna facing a herd of wolves.

Not wanting to stay still, Lisa who also carries a torch does the same thing as Juna.

The wolves were afraid of the fire. They retreated slowly as Juna continued to point at the torch. Then, they ran away and disappeared behind the darkness of the night.

“We'd better get going. Before the wolves come again,” said Juna gave advice.

“We'll just leave him, Dad. You ungrateful man. Could-be he tried to run after getting help from us.”

Lisa ruffled her waist and raised angry eyes at Edgar who was still sitting on the ground. Lisa threw away her face and walked first.

Edgar and Juna's views meet. How embarrassed Edgar was when Juna reached out with a nod of his head.

“Come, Son. You're not gonna be here all night, are you?”

Edgar receives a helping hand from Juna who helps him stand up. They both walked down the hill towards the house.

Lisa walked a few feet in front of them.

“I'm sorry for Lisa's attitude that you may have been rude to you,” said Juna suddenly while looking straight ahead.

Edgar glanced at Juna's face lit by the torchlight.

“No. What he said is true. I'm an ungrateful man. I should be the one apologizing to you.”

Edgar lowered his head as he said that sentence with great earnestness.

“Lisa used to be slandered by her college friends. To the extent that the scholarship he had been struggling to get, had to be revoked. Maybe that is why he became a less friendly person and easily suspicious of ordinary people.”

“Lisa ever been to college?” Edgar asked, looking in disbelief.

Juna nodded his head.

As fast as lightning, Juna wiped the edge of his eyes without Edgar's knowledge. He was sad to find himself unable to do anything in realizing the child's ideals.

“But actually, Lisa is a good girl. You just have to be patient at the beginning. I hope you understand Lisa's circumstances and don't hate her.”

Edgar nodded slowly. Then the rest of the way home they spent each other silent no one opened their voices again.

Entering the house, Juna invited Edgar to sleep in his room. He will sleep in the living room.

But before going to bed, first Juna approached Lisa who happened to be in the kitchen taking drinking water.

“Why did you let Edgar sleep in the room? Let him sleep on the couch. If necessary she just sleep outside,” Lisa growled with her chest up and down.

“As long as Edgar is here, he's our guest Lisa. We must treat him well.”

“But, Dad, we don't know what her background looks like. It could be a person who wants evil intentions,” Lisa whispered so as not to be heard by Edgar.

Juna placed both palms on Lisa's shoulders. The shady eyes managed to make Lisa slightly dampen her anger.

“We must beware of him, Lisa. But as long as Edgar does not commit crimes, as long as we still have to treat him well.”

Lisa breathed rough, folded her hands in front of her chest and looked away.

“With him who intends to run away from his responsibilities to compensate for money we have also been spelled out a crime right, Father.”

This time it was Juna who took a deep breath and his gaze turned blank.

“Dad see Edgar has only not been able to adapt in a new place with his condition which is now amnesia. He just needs time, Lisa.”

“Dad but..”

“And another one,” says Juna cut off Lisa's words.

“Father Edgar left because of your attitude that always brings up the good you gave him. Aren't you willing to help her, Lisa?”

Lisa still did not answer. There's no way he'd tell his father if he was half-hearted in helping Edgar.

Once again Juna rubbed Lisa's shoulder, then reviewed a smile.

“Lisa, remember this father's message! Every time you do good to someone else, maybe the reward you get is not from the person you helped, maybe the reply doesn't come now, but rest assured that the reward of your kindness will come at the right time.”

Lisa increasingly made silent a thousand languages digesting the advice of the father. Juna patted her shoulder.

“Yes, it's now that you go to sleep. At three in the morning wake Dad up to transport water!”
