The Love of the Unknown Man

The Love of the Unknown Man
8. Misunderstand

Lisa's feelings get mixed up as she leads two policemen to her father's farm. He bit his lower lip hoping the cop's intended killer wasn't Edgar.

But Lisa had to swallow the hope raw because once in the field, she found Edgar standing next to Juna's blood-soaked body.

Lisa screeched, ran, and knelt beside Juna's body. The sobs were unstoppable as he did not feel the pulse of his father.

“Daddy, wake up, Dad!” lisa's full of pain.

The girl with wavy hair looked up to reveal her puffy eyes that were glaring sharply at Edgar. Then he stood up and hit the chest of Edgar's field which did not give any effect to the man.

“What's my father's fault? Why are you doing this? Isn't it enough you're making me suffer, huh?” lisa's cross while pushing strongly Edgar's body that retreated a few steps.

“Lisa, listen to me! You misunderstood. It wasn't me who did it.”

“If you're not who else, Edgar. Or whoever your name is, I already know that you're a criminal,” Lisa roared in a hoarse voice and couldn't stop her tears.

The two policemen who had been following Lisa had moved to handcuff Edgar's hand. Although the green-eyed man rebelled, but two men in police uniforms were no less powerful blocking Edgar.

“Now you can't run anymore. You will get a life sentence.”

“But it wasn't me who did it. Lisa, I beg you to trust me, ” Edgar squeezed as both of his arms were pulled by the police.

But Lisa prefers to close her ears, cry, and shake her head can not accept the harsh reality if now she has lost her father.

There will be no more wise advice from Juna. There will be no one to protect and support Lisa. Because now he lives a long time.

And more painful for Lisa is that Edgar was the vile man who killed Juna. Lisa and Juna saved her from death.

Though Lisa has put a little heart on the man she named Edgar.

“Dad,” Lisa back on her knees next to Juna's stiff body. He placed Juna's blood-soaked head onto his lap.

“Dad, wake. Don't leave me!”

One clear bulb flowed across Lisa's smooth cheeks and fell dripping down Juna's cheeks.

“Dad, don't go! Dad said he wanted to see me as a doctor, right?” Lisa muttered on the stiff body in her lap.

Edgar manages to break free from the police's clutches, runs and kneels beside Lisa.

“Lisa, trust me! I'm not a killer. It's not like you saw.”

“Explain it later in the office,” said one of the police grabbed Edgar's shoulder.

One police colleague helped force Edgar's body to display a disappointed look, because it could not convince Lisa.

With heavy steps, Edgar was forced to walk flanked by two policemen on his right and left sides.

Once again she looked back and saw in the middle of the field that Lisa kept crying as she kept calling her father.

Edgar was forced into a black car. One second he threw his body into the back seat, someone instantly covered his face with a black cloth.

“What the fuck? What is this way the police treat prisoners?” scatter Edgar whose voice was slightly muffled by the cloth.

The two policemen only chuckled, did not answer Edgar's questions, and preferred to drive the car to their destination.

Because Edgar's head was covered in black cloth, making him unable to see which way the car he was riding was going.

His hands were handcuffed, as was his body that was tied firmly using a rope. Edgar was unable to turn around, and could only feel the car driving for almost half an hour.

Then Edgar felt if the car stopped. Then the two men forced Edgar down without removing the head covering.

“You took me to where?”

“Cute only, no need to ask much.”

They encouraged Edgar to walk a few steps. Then lowered Edgar's shoulders to sit on a wooden chair.

The cover cloth was removed by someone and Edgar immediately squinted his eyes due to the glint of the spotlights right on his face.

He blinked so that his eyes could get used to the bright atmosphere.

After circulating his gaze, Edgar realized he was taken to a closed room with a floodlight that only hit him.

Two men in police uniforms stood behind Edgar.

“Hai, respond! Where is this?” raung Edgar was full of anger. His instincts say that the place is not a police station.

Just then, a man appeared from behind a black shadow in the corner of the room while chuckling. Edgar's two eyeballs were perfectly rounded when he saw Roy in front of him.

“So, this is the guy who pretends to be a hero in front of Lisa?” asked Roy scoffed.

“You!” hiss Edgar raised a sharp gaze.

Then, two men in police uniforms moved beside Roy. They grit their fingers while staring at Edgar like a toy ready to be beaten.

“They're actually self-styled cops, right?”

“Unnecessary questions answered.”

Roy gestured to the two men beside him who were immediately understood and they began to punch Edgar in the face.

“Don't stop until this man is dead. You guys understand?”

The two men simultaneously nodded their heads steadily. “ Good, Boss.”

Bugh.

One blow struck Edgar's cheek that could not retaliate because both hands were handcuffed.

The pain hit Edgar's head. He felt familiar with this kind of atmosphere. Beaten by two men in a dark room.

Edgar groaned withstanding the unbearable pain. Not just the pain from the blow, but a very piercing taste from inside his head.

“Coward, can only fight when my hands are handcuffed,” Edgar roared while swinging his free legs and kicking a valuable object belonging to one of the rowdy policemen.

Edgar's hands and body were bound. However, as long as he could still move his legs why not.

As quickly as possible, Edgar also kicked the face of the other rowdy policeman until blood came out of his nose. Roy, who was riding black, grabbed a machete, then swung towards Edgar.

However, Edgar very quickly deliberately positioned both hands, making a slash of a machete hit the handcuffs were immediately cut off instantly.

“Sial,” umpat Roy realizes the man who became his opponent so clever.

While running, Edgar tried to remove and get rid of the rope that tied his body. He lunged at a wooden door, then found himself in a hut surrounded only by trees as far as the eye could see.

“Don't run you! You won't be able to take Lisa from me.”

Roy screams behind, making Edgar immediately run no matter the direction he takes.

“Pursuit guy breng*** that!”

Edgar ran as fast as he could as his hands brushed the branches and leaves that blocked his path.

While Roy and the two rowdy cops chase a few meters behind him.

Both legs of Edgar suddenly stopped when he was on the edge of the ravine below which flowed a river with a flow of water that was so swift.

Edgar looked back and saw Roy with his accomplice running closer and closer.

Without a second thought, Edgar took a deep breath, then jumped off the cliff.

“Sial, we lost track of him,” hissed Roy when we got to the brink.

Both of Roy's eyes looked at Edgar's whereabouts down there. There was nothing but flowing river water.

“That man couldn't possibly survive. The river water was very heavy, Boss.”

“True, Boss. He must have drowned,” a fake cop partner chimed in.

Convince Roy to stop looking for Edgar.

“I hope so. I'd better focus on my next plan.”
