The Love of the Unknown Man

The Love of the Unknown Man
9. Debts

That afternoon, Lisa's house was visited by many residents who attended Juna's funeral. Since finding her father who has been lifeless, Lisa's life seems to collapse.

The girl had a grim face, silent a thousand languages, but no tears came out.

The residents accompanied Lisa to take Juna to the final resting place, while taking turns to give condolences.

Until the funeral service is over, one by one the residents leave and leave Lisa who remains on her knees next to Juna's grave.

“Dad, I'm afraid to live alone. I don't have anyone anymore. Why are you leaving?” Lisa said in a hoarse tone.

“You are not alone, Lisa, there is still me.”

The words from someone made Lisa raise her head and immediately stand up. Lisa looked at the man in front of her with a watchful look.

“What do you want, Roy?”

Lisa's one leg retreated, preparing to run away if Roy did his depraved act when they last met.

Roy seems ordinary this time. He took a quick glance at Juna's tomb which was still strewn with fresh flowers.

“I'm here to collect your father's debt.”

“Debt?” repeat Lisa squinted her eyes.

“My father never borrowed money from you.”

Roy only laughed for a moment, then handed over a letter that was immediately received and read by the girl who owned the wave hair.

At once Lisa's eye bead was patterned while reading the letter which was Juna and Roy's debt agreement. On the paper it says if Juna can not pay his debt, then Lisa must marry Roy.

Lisa squeezes the paper in her hand to form a ball, then throws it at the village loan shark who now publishes a grin.

“Dad couldn't have sold me to a guy like you,” Lisa roared while throwing paper.

“Lisa, your father has no other choice. At that time, he said he needed a lot of money to pay the hospital administration.”

Lisa's body was glued to hear Roy's speech. He remembered that the savings and proceeds from selling the necklace were not enough to finance Edgar's operation.

Could it be that Dad borrowed money from Roy to cover the costs that were still lacking? Lisa asked in her heart.

Both of Lisa's hands were clenched tightly, her look showing that she was both angry and resentful towards the unknown man she had regretted helping her.

“Lisa, next week is our wedding day. Prepare yourself as best you can.”

“I refuse. I don't want to marry you.”

“You can't resist, or you want me to tear apart the graves of your father and mother,” Roy said.

“I'll pay all my father's debts.”

Roy chuckled, wagging one hand as if a mosquito were in front of his face.

“What do you want to pay with, Lisa. Money for the necessities of life you do not have. And one more thing, the nominal written in the letter did not include flowers. You understand?”

Roy turned around and stepped foot leaving Lisa alone who stood still unable to accept reality.

Lisa threw away her face. His mind was filled with Edgar who had managed to make his life a mess.

“Until any time I won't marry you, Roy,” Lisa yells that makes Roy stop his leg swing.

The man with thick eyebrows turned his head, with big steps, he came back to Lisa.

Suddenly firmly gripped Lisa's arm while shining a sharp gaze.

“Then, how about I taste you here? Right in front of the graves of your father and mother,” Roy said in earnest.

Lisa swallowed the saliva, all over her body bristling, and both her hands held onto the body of Roy who wanted to try to spice it up.

However, of course, Roy's power is stronger than Lisa. The girl began to fear, it flashed in Lisa's mind about the shadow of the last time Roy tore his skirt.

“B-fine. I'm willing,” forced Lisa to say that sentence from her lips.

At least for now makes Roy undo his intentions. Roy smiled with satisfaction as he took a few steps back.

“Good. Remember, Lisa. Don't try to escape me! Because I can find you, even if you're hiding in an ant hole.”

One week later.

Lisa sits pensively on the delman that leads her to Roy's residence. The wedding venue will be.

In the morning still shrouded in fog, Lisa was picked up by Doni, Juna's neighbor and friend.

Along the way, both Lisa and Doni fell silent to each other. There was only the sound of the knocking of the horseshoes clashing on the cobbled road.

“I still can't believe, Juna left us so quickly,” said Doni trying to open the topic. Although the next second, Doni regretted having chosen the wrong topic.

Lisa was silent. Even his gaze was slowly empty.

“Your father is a good man. Surely she's calm in nature there, Lisa.”

For a moment Doni glanced at Lisa who was sitting in the back seat of the delman.

“I still remember very well when Juna was about to sell your necklace, he found a bag that contained a lot of money. Even though he's a nobody, but I salute his honesty.”

Doni can hear Lisa taking a deep breath, and she continues her story.

“Juna returned the bag to the owner. Then he was given a lot of money by the owner of the bag. You know what the name is, Lisa? Ten million.”

At once Lisa flinched, straightened her back, and her eyes were puffed up. He became interested in his father's best friend's story.

Because, Lisa never heard Juna tell her about getting ten million money from someone.

Lisa's mind immediately concluded that the money was used to increase Edgar's operating costs.

“Is that true, Mr Doni? Dad got ten million?”

Doni nodded his head as he continued to look ahead.

“I myself who sowed your father into the market sold a necklace belonging to your late mother.”

Lisa's hands were clenched tightly. He was sure Roy had lied so he would marry the ruthless loan shark.

Just then, the delman that Lisa was riding on stopped in front of Roy's house. Not many guests have come, because the party will begin after Lisa is dressed.

Roy walks out of the house welcoming the delman, and reaches out with the intention of helping Lisa down.

“Lisa, come on, you need yourself first. Everyone is waiting for you.”

Lisa moved from her seat. But not to accept Roy's hand.

Instead of jumping from the delman and lightning fast striking two eyeballs Roy using his fingers.

Of course the thick-browed man was shocked as well as groaning sternly, and took a few steps back.

“Dasar impostor. I'm not marrying you.”

After saying that sentence, Lisa immediately ran as fast as she could to leave Roy's residence.

“Lisa, where are you going?” While holding back the pain in his eyes, Roy tries to chase after Lisa.

Doni who saw the incident, tightened his hand that grasped the horse's control rope. Of course he won't stay silent - the daughter of his best friend is in danger.
