In the morning, Lisa approached Juna who put a sack of corn on an old bicycle.
“Dad, today let me and Edgar alone sell corn to the market.”
Juna turned his head quickly to the princess, smiled, and nodded in agreement. Finished tying the corn sack, Juna backed off giving room for Edgar to pedal the bike.
“Be careful, the bike chain often breaks,” said Juna warning as Lisa sat in the back seat.
“Iya, Dad. We will definitely be careful.”
Edgar began to pedal bicycles along the rocky village road.
The village where Lisa lived was quite left behind with villages across.
The road is still rocky, not asphalt.
The distance from one house to another is a bit far apart. However, the beautiful scenery of the hills and also the clean air is a plus from the village.
An hour later, Lisa and Edgar were already in the market offering corn to a vegetable merchant. Edgar could only glance at Lisa and the merchant as the two made quite a fierce offer.
Until finally, after a long debate, they agreed with the price offered by Lisa. The girl smiled as often as she received some money sheets, and recalculated them.
“We use some of this money to buy your clothes,” bright Lisa glanced at the appearance of Edgar who had been wearing Juna clothes.
“But I can't buy you new clothes, because the money won't be enough for the other needs. So we're going to the second-hand clothes store only.”
Edgar shrugged both of his shoulders. According to him it does not matter if he wears used clothes, as long as it is clean.
They chose clothes hanging in a shop. Then Lisa pulled a flannel shirt patterned with a box that looked still good.
Lisa attached the shirt to Edgar's body, and it turned out to fit perfectly on that burly body. Lisa also chose pants, which made Edgar feel like a little boy who bought clothes with his mother.
Out of the secondhand clothing store, they walked planning to buy chicken feed. However, Lisa's footsteps came to a halt as she passed by the jewelry store.
Edgar who had been following Lisa had suddenly stopped and almost hit Lisa's body. He followed Lisa's line of sight centered on a necklace inside the storefront.
From the look in the eye, Edgar knew that Lisa wanted the necklace.
“That's the necklace your late mother gave you?”
Lisa nodded her head in response. Then Edgar leaned forward, narrowed his eyes, and tapped gently on the window glass.
“Hai, necklace, make yourself unsold. You can't be bought by anyone else. Someday, if you have money, I will come and buy you.”
Lisa chuckled softly at the manner of Edgar speaking on the necklace as if it were a living being. He immediately pulled Edgar's arm, as the shop clerk stared at the cynical two of them who were dressed as seedy.
After all the needs were bought, they returned to pedaling the bike. Along the way, Edgar sped up the pace of the bike which made Lisa wrap her arms around Edgar's waist.
And somehow the hearts of the two humans were both pounding. Lisa and Edgar were amazed by the strange feelings that lay inside each of them.
Once at home, Lisa puts her groceries on the table, calling her father, however, there is no telling.
“Where is your father?” ask Edgar who finished going around the house but did not find Juna.
“Maybe have gone to the field,” Lisa replied while taking out one by one groceries.
“Then I'll catch up with your father.”
The man twisted his body looking at Lisa who was smiling knots at him.
“Tell dad if lunch will be ready in half an hour!”
Edgar nodded steadily, then continued walking outside the house. While at her place standing, Lisa stared at Edgar's back away.
Lisa admits she has started to like Edgar, and dismisses the man's past which is still a mystery.
Before long, the door was knocked and Lisa walked over to greet the two guest men who came to her house. Lisa was made nervous as soon as she saw the two guests wearing police uniforms.
He swallowed the saliva, felt a bad premonition, then he took a breath trying to cover his fear.
“Good day, Miss,” greet one of the police.
“S-day,” replied Lisa nervously.
“We're from the police. We're here to find a man with tall stout features, black hair, a pointed nose, and green eyeballs. Has Miss ever seen the man we mentioned his features?”
Lisa clasped the end of her shirt, to quiet her trembling body, her feelings grew more uneasy as the police called out Edgar's traits.
“Nona, please cooperate and answer any questions from us!” the police said a little.
“I saw it, Sir. But what's with that guy? why is the Police Officer looking for him?”
“Nona, we need to tell you, the man is very dangerous. He's a serial killer who's being pursued by interpol.”
Deg.
Lisa's heart stopped hearing the police's words. Instantly his mind was fixed on the father.
“What? A killer? Impossible.”

In the middle of the field, Juna hoeed under the scorching sun. Although he had worn caping, however, the hot air made a sweat as big as a corn seed slide down his temple.
Long drought makes the soil dry and hard when hoeed.
Juna continued hoeing without realizing from behind there was a man walking snuggled up to him. The man snatched a shovel lying down along with the equipment that Juna had brought from home.
Then, just as the man was right behind Juna, he swung the shovel and directly hit the middle-aged man's head.
Juna screamed in pain while holding the back of his head, turning his body and widening his eyes as soon as he saw the perpetrator.
“You? Why are you doing this to me?”
The man did not answer the question Juna asked. Even hit the shovel again very strongly to the head of Juna who now shed fresh blood.
Juna shouted in a heart-wrenching voice.
The next moment he fell down and lay on the ground.
