The Part 19

Devano came home very late because he had a lot of work, he just got home around 11 and a half, Eni who greeted Devano immediately told Devano that Sarah had no breakfast this morning before school, and Sarah had no dinner tonight, even Sarah didn't come out of the room after school.

And at once Devano immediately remembered the news he had caused.

"Sial" gumam nya, Devano yakin Sarah pasti tahu berita itu dan kenapa ia tak sampai berfikir kesana.

Devano immediately rushed to his room, and when he opened the door, the room was dark, Devano turned on the lights and he saw Sarah who was sleeping sideways, his body was covered in blankets up to his neck. Devano approached Sarah, and looked her girl crying, because her cheeks were still wet, even her pillow.

Devano felt guilty.

Devano wiped the remaining tears on Sarah's cheek and suddenly Sarah opened her eyes, her gaze met with Devano's gaze for a moment, then Sarah turned around, avoiding Devano's gaze without making a sound.

"What's wrong?" devano asked softly. Sarah didn't flinch "You heard your papa's company news?" ask her half a whisper.

Sarah turned around and looked at Devano, then she nodded slowly and sat down.

"I couldn't call papa, mama, and Will's sister, I went to the house, but at the house there was no one, I didn't know where they were" said Sarah and at the end of her crying again broke.

After school, Sarah and Naina go to Sarah's house, but the house is locked and very quiet, and Sarah does not know where her family went to leave Sarah alone, without telling or talking to Sarah.

"They left me, hysteria.. They left me" she wrote amidst her sobs.

Devano's heart immediately felt sore to see Sarah hit and cry like this, Devano's heart was torn as shreds, his conscience screamed saying what Devano did was wrong, big mistake, and that mistake impacted his little wife. But the ego side that has been mastered will revenge will also whisper that it is very true. And about Sarah, Devano will take care of Sarah, meet all the needs of Sarah and her husband Devano, so Devano should be more than enough for Sarah as a substitute for her family. A very cruel whisper, isn't it?

"Sshhhttt, I'm here, Sarah. I'll take care of you, I'll take their place because I'm your husband" she said, embracing Sarah, but Sarah encouraged Devana and frowned not understanding what Devano's words meant.

"What do you mean?" ask Sarah who's still hiccuping.

"I mean, don't worry..." Devano said very softly, and lovingly she tidied up Sarah's hair and put away the messy child on Sarah's face made Sarah speechless with that loving treatment"And there was still me, I promise I'll meet all your needs even better than before, you won't lose your old fancy life"

And the instant Sarah instantly pushed Devano away from her, she stared intently at Devano.

"Do you think I'm crying over papa's bankruptcy?" sarah shouted emotionally, not expecting the thought pattern of Devano was very narrow and just revolved around the meter "Do you think I cry because papa won't be able to love me a luxurious life? Oh God, Dev" Sarah wiped her tears and tried to stop her sobs. Devano himself was stunned by Sarah's question.

"I'd be very willing if we lost all our wealth, but I don't want you to be slandered. I was willing to live a simple life as long as I stayed with my family, but I didn't even know where they were now, and a thousand husbands couldn't replace the family, Devano" she said, crying again.

Devano was silent, as if digesting the word said Sarah who loved her family very much, a family that Devano never had and Devano could not understand the love between families.

Sarah cried again, sobbing until he hiccupped, Devano hugged her again, initially Sarah refused and continued to push Devano's chest even hit her, but Devano did not budge, Devano did not budge, he remained close to Sarah until the end of her surrender. She cries in Devano's arms and Sarah continues to mutter if she wants her family.

Devano's heart and soul struggled to decide between continuing his act of revenge for the sake of his sister, or stopping him for the sake of his wife.

"Relax, Sarah. Everything will be fine" Devano said, stroking Sarah's unraveling hair.

Sarah cried for a long time in Devano's arms, until slowly the sobbing sound was red, her body no longer shook, and her breathing was calm.

For the first time, Devano kissed Sarah's forehead feeling. He begins to worry about Sarah's state, her feelings and her mental state.

Devano put Sarah to bed slowly, then she enveloped Sarah and turned off her bedroom lights, leaving the sleeping lights with a dim light on.

Without changing clothes, Devano went to the sofa by the window, sitting there with a straight look at the slumbering Sarah.

Caitlin or Sarah?

Devano kept thinking about it so seriously.

William brings his parents to live in William's private apartment that William bought 6 months ago.

Venita was so shocked and had a heart attack when she found out her company was bankrupt, and what hit her even more was the slanted news about her husband, though Venita knows for sure Jason can not do the shameful thing.

And in order to pay for the money his investors lost and also to pay off the company's debt, Jason is forced to sell everything. Even the house that had so many memories in their lives, Jason had nothing left. But Jason more sincerely lost his treasure than he had to be in prison, because Jason wants to be free and look for evidence of what really happened, who is the mastermind behind this chaos.

While William's company is also in trouble, people doubt William because of what happened to his father's company and the slander he was accused of, even William is convinced he won't be able to keep his company again.

Currently, William is taking care of his mother who is gradually improving.

"How is Sarah?" ask the mother weakly. He thought of his daughter, how her daughter was out there alone.

"Mama don't worry, Devano must be looking after her" William said. They deliberately didn't tell Sarah anything, what else Sarah's testing.

From outside came the sound of knocking on the door.

"That must be Freya, I went out the door for a while" she said and her mother just nodded.

Yolanda Freya, William's girlfriend, and Freya are also lawyers who are pursuing their current careers.

"Hi, Honey. How's aunt Venita doing?" freya asked as she walked into Venita's room.

"Better" said William. His face looks very sad. Freya immediately stroked William's cheek.

"Don't be sad, we're definitely going to get through this" he said.

"Thank you, Fe. You're the best" said William then he brought Freya into his mama's room.

Freya greets Venita and she also brings fresh fruit to Venita. Every day Freya always visits William's apartment to accompany Venita, what's more when William and Jason are busy out there looking for the perpetrators of crimes on his family and proof that Jason is innocent.

"Sorry, Jason. But I can't help you"

Jason breathed a heavy sigh, he asked for help from his coworker and best friend during this time named Agus Heryawan. Jason was sure Agus believed in him, but apparently did not. No one believed in Jason and no one helped Jason. It's as if Jason is a proven criminal in all corners of the city, the country and maybe even the world. Before meeting Agus, Jason had met some people to ask for help, but they all refused. Though Jason once contributed to them, even Agus also owed a debt of gratitude to Jason, where his company was also almost rolled over, Jason came as a savior.

"That's what, thank you. Wishing you success always in your position now" Jason said sarcastically. Because the position Agus got now is thanks to Jason.
