The Metal Military Academy

The Metal Military Academy
Chapter 1: The Remedial

The scorching afternoon emitted a dazzling light from a single sun accompanied by the blue of the sky. In the shady forest, there was a group of metallic armored goblins armed with some advanced weapons were busy guarding in front of the cave which was their nest.

Armed Goblins were seen securing the cave when another group of Goblins were transporting some of their hunted goods into the cave.

Somewhat far from the position of the Goblins, without them realizing someone was watching their movements behind the bushes.

The person is a young man who is watching through the scope in a position down in the bushes. He has an athletic height, messy orange hair with a headband, and wears a dark red vest jacket.

“There is the position, yes..?”

One silver eye focused on the target, namely homemade bombs carried by one of the cars allegedly stolen.

If he succeeds in shooting about the bombs, then the nest and the goblins around it will be destroyed. And that's the goal now.

But when he was focusing on aiming, unexpectedly his shot was even blocked by the butt of a deer who was eating grass in front of him.

“Ish! There are even kayak creatures as well.”

The man had taken one hand out from behind the bushes, waving trying to repel the deer.

“Oi, move aside,” hisses for not being noisy, afraid of being caught. “Surge, lah..!”

The deer heard, but did not take the initiative to get out of his shot at all. Understandably, the name of the animal must not understand human language. Precisely when the man tried to find the direction of another shot, the deer again blocked.

The man was even clucking in annoyance, “Ck! Snarl, fruity..!” he was still half whispering.

This guy is really o’on. Clearly in front of him is a deer, even said goat anyway.

Instead of stepping aside, the deer still blocked the shot. Even now the elk's butt hole is clearly visible through the shot scope, making the man more of a drag made.

“Ish! You're this— Argh!!”

Unfortunately, the man unknowingly pulled the trigger, firing the bullet toward the embedded trap mine not too close from their position. As a result, the power of the explosion made the man and the deer was bounced far away with some gravel and broken tree trunks.

The deer landed in a lying position with both eyes already forming X, the sign ‘dah unconscious, while the man landed with his face first swiping the ground and ended up in a nose position.

Thou shalt. The man had resigned to the failure of the mission nuts that he lived just because of the ass of a deer.

And because of his carelessness as well, of course.

“Basic fucking frangs!”

It has been explained by the narrator that the animal is a deer, even still said goat anyway.

...~*~*~*~...

And here he was now, sitting inside the helicopter with a grimaced face. His hair that was disheveled from the beginning is now more tangled, his body was dirty by the ground due to a mine explosion. Luckily, the mine was not so close to his position, so he was still able to survive.

In his heart he continued to blame the ass of the deer that he thought was the goat several times.

While still daydreaming with a sour face, he felt that someone's hand was touching his gray hair.

“Ish! Don't touch it, Damar! I'm not a virgin,” his mouthpiece while shaking his partner's hand.

“What's up, Dan…?! Random ‘times your brain. There are many leaves in your hair,” said his colleague while taking some leaves attached to the hair.

In the helicopter, a young man named Ardanu De’Cornell, or more familiarly called Ardan is sitting with his colleagues.

To his right is Damar Prasetya, a geeky, black-haired young man with thick bangs and wearing round glasses. However, Damar's body stature was as dashing as Ardan's.

And to his left was a young man named Regan Gargusva, he was pale white with long silver hair tied high, and wore a silver robe jacket. Sitting quietly while hugging a sniper rifle.

While in front of them is an adult man in his 40s, big-looking, wearing a military uniform complete with a coat and hat. His facial expression looked firm, gave the impression of authoritative and quite respected. He was the leader and supervisor of the youth team, Colonel Durnashana Robin.

Take these three cadets.

Yep. Ardan, Damar, and Regan are three young Mids from the Military Academy of Space Special Forces, an international academy devoted to educating young military seeds in protecting the entire planet and maintaining interplanetary peace as well.

They are currently undergoing remedial treatment, where they have scored less than satisfactory in previous exams. Although the three majors differ, but each supervisor agreed to combine them in one remedial exam session, and choose the field practice exam as a remedial.

Initially, they were relaxed because they only got remedials that were commonly obtained by other Taruna-Taruni when they got a drop in value. However, it all felt gripping when they found out that their supervisor was a high-ranking middle-officer teacher who had once led one of the units in the Space Military branch, and was one of the most important higher-ups in the academy.

I don't know what the academy thought to have to send this one person as their remedial exam supervisor. They do not want to be labeled as incompetent cadets.

But what is power? Following this remedial alone has already been considered incompetent.

The three lowered their heads in embarrassment, but vaguely still heard the sound of Damar squeaking, but,

“Salah Ardan himself. Time salfok same animal ass?”

“Oi, Damar— Akh! Regan?!”

“Ish! Regan why, seh?!”

When Ardan almost gushed Damar with a rain of ‘muti’ words, Regan immediately patted hard Ardan's shoulder and touched Damar's head.

“You are.” Regan melolot to both. “Shame in front of the Commander...”

The two returned to their heads after being rebuked by Regan.

“You are done.” Durna shook his hand. “We will proceed to the last remedial stage. You are still considered to pass because the values in the previous remedial practice have been qualified. This additional remedial is still you finish because to ascertain whether you can be more assertive in completing the mission or fail because of your carelessness.”

Durna reminded me of that ridiculous incident. If it wasn't for the reindeer ass, they wouldn't have had to run an extra remedial. Luckily there are Damar and Regan who can overcome the remedial problem, so they managed to destroy the goblin nest, or rather almost failed.

“Pak, we have arrived at the destination,” tell the helicopter pilot.

“Alright,” Durna nagging.

Ardan, Damar, and Regan turned to the helicopter door that was accidentally opened, making a gust of rushing wind penetrate the helicopter's room, hitting each of the hairs and jackets they were wearing.

Below them, there is a view of the old village among the arid desert expanse, seen crowded by a group of goblins who were plundering various kinds of valuables belonging to the villagers.

Durna explained the state of the village, “The number of people living in the village is relatively small, and they had time to save themselves after being warned by the local police.”

“Actually, the task to exterminate the goblin pests is quite left to the police, but I had permission to them to let my young cadets overcome it,” continued Durna.

Then, Durna smiled faintly. “You can eradicate these pests, right? Come on, you guys are already in Level 2. It's a shame to fail in eradicating them all.”

“Do we need to strategize first, Commander?” regan asked Durna.

“Bneed?” Durna raises the eyebrows. “If you can, please. In fact, you will get additional value if you are able to complete this mission with strategy. But unfortunately, we don't have much time.”

There was a sound of a rifle cocked in Ardan's hand. A spirit grin now appeared on the beautiful face of this orange-haired youth.

“Personation with a strategy in this narrow time. We will do it in an anarchist way,” Ardan said confidently.

“That's why you got a few remedial times, mango head,” circus Damar snarl.

“I don't care, want you to use an anarchist strategy or way once,” respond Durna relaxed, “What matters, you prove that you deserve to be a tough soldier.”

Ardan is ready with an assault rifle in hand, the skyboard board ready to be launched underfoot. And he turned to give a confident grin again to the team commander.

“We can be more than a soldier, even more than an officer though.”

Ardan saluted until his fingertips touched his red headband.

“Adios, Commander…. Haha!”

Using a skyboard in the leg, Ardan jumped straight from the helicopter.

“Woi, Ardan Bengek! Not polite ‘times you are the same Commander!” Damar also jumped after him.

Before the plunge, Regan had a reticent talk to Durna, “Sorry for their scepticism, Commander. We promise we will do our best to this remedial.”

Then Regan jumped in with a skyboard following them.

Durna noticed the three who had already dove off the helicopter, “That boy, really..” Durna shook his head as he recalled Ardan.

“Who, Sir?” ask the pilot to focus on driving.

For some reason, a warm smile suddenly appeared on Durna's face which always looked resolute.

“Ardan. He looks a lot like his father.”

“Emm…. Her father was ‘kan...” The pilot tried to remember who Ardan's father was.

“Yes, he's the one.”
