The Metal Military Academy

The Metal Military Academy
Chapter 41: The Novan Family

The journey taken from the academy to the Training Sector only takes less than 15 minutes using the electric train. When we arrived at the Train Sector train station, there were many junior students and advanced-level Taruna-Taruni out of the train. Some of the staff and robots on guard had time to check their personal data along with their academy cards before being allowed to enter the area.

Ardan is now only walking alone towards the Training Sector. At first he went with the group of 17, but he had permission to go to the toilet first and asked Damar to guide the juniors to the training site.

Not because he was kebellet, but there is something else that makes Ardan obliged to go to the toilet, and this has to do with the embarrassing incident that was strangely made fun earlier.

“Aish.... Chrysanthemum Deck, anyway, use bo’ong-bo’ong everything. Try frankly, I must be sincerely pinched-pinched spoiled kayak earlier,” muttered Ardan while scrambling his gray hair.

....

Now, Ardan had arrived at the Training Sector, a special area for the Midshipmen of the academy to train. Different from the training areas available in the academy, this sector has more complete facilities, the area is also very wide, and is divided into several more areas.

The separated training areas include physical training areas, obstacle facilities, shooting exercises, training against monsters and artificial robots, experimental laboratories, and training in machine and weapon manufacturing practices.

The location where Ardan's destination is now the Battle Arena, a special area for students to test fight against other students.

Because today is the junior Fighting Test activity, then as a guide, Ardan is required to test their abilities. In addition, he will also get additional value if he participates in this test.

There is also a good thing that Ardan replaced his friend Damar in the Model Organization in Student Orientation Activities. Ardan gets more value in his report card.

“Finally, up to.”

Ardan stepped foot into the futuristic-style building whose shape is wide, namely the Battle Arena Building. The building is not so tall, but the size is very wide and spacious.

In one building there are about dozens of special indoor courts used as fighting arenas, whether one on one or more. All indoor arenas are separated in a large room called the Arena Room.

As Ardan walked around looking for his group's Arena Room, he saw that there were many students passing by there, either participating in the tests as well or advanced level students who just wanted to take a look.

“If you are not mistaken, our room number 6, deh.”

“Akh!!”

As Ardan continued to search through his group's field booth, his steps came to a halt, startled by a junior ejected from one of the Arena Room's doors.

The junior was lying on the floor, grimacing while enduring the pain in the body. When Ardan saw again, the junior had quite a number of bruises and abrasions even to the face, his black hair was also tangled, and the training clothes he was wearing were partially torn.

“You all right, man?” ask Ardan.

After being asked so, several staff and health robots came to him immediately, starting to take the junior away using a stretcher.

“Come with all juniors from Room 4 to Health Unit!” shouted the head of health staff who dressed all white on the other staff and their robots.

“Hey, what really happened in Room 4?” ardan began to suspect. “Junior testing feeling in the orientation period is not as severe as this.”

While opening the mask, the health chairman replied, “The guide of their group is too overdoing the junior ability test. As a result, they suffered severe injuries, some even broke bones.”

“Serious?” Ardan was stunned to hear it.

Ardan left to let the chairman and some health staff bring the junior. Out of curiosity, he went to Room 4.

There, many health staff were busy bringing the injured juniors out of the Arena Room. All the Taruna-Taruni who were there, just to see the testing exercise, even made dumbfounded by what happened inside.

“Kok until later, yes..?”

Ardan continued to run towards the arena grounds. When he arrived at the edge of the field, Ardan's curiosity and panic instantly disappeared. He sighed understandably when he found out who was the perpetrator who had made one junior group injured.

“Jeez, Rafa...!” Ardan ruffled his pink hair.

Apparently, the perpetrator who has made one group must be rushed to the Health Unit is Rafa, Ardan's own cousin. Not only were his people injured, this indoor arena also suffered severe damage.

Ardan was not surprised if all this chaos was caused by Rafa. He knew very well what kind of power from the descendants of the Novan Family, even his late father had warned Ardan.

...~*~*~*~...

When Ardan was a child, around the age of eight, there was a time when he wanted to ask his father for permission to play outside.

At that time, Astan, his father Ardan, was busy repairing the machine that was somehow in the garage of their house.

“Dad! Dad!” call the little spoiled Ardan while prancing around incoherently.

“Iya, Tadpole Rawa— Eee.... That is, my dear son,” errat Astan memahut his son.

What kind of father is this Astan? The child himself was almost cursed.

“O, please, Son. Don't forget to bring the offerings too. Fear even trance again, I also bother.” Then Astan warned him, “Eh, but you must be careful playing with Uncle Grim's children.”

“Indeed why, Dad? Rafa same Nadia baek, kok,” asked Ardan plain.

Astan looked at the child with a slight look of worry.

“Just be careful. You see, the Novan Family is known..” Astan twirled his index finger on the head. “... There's crazy-gill.”

Little Ardan tilted his head in confusion. He actually did not understand the intention of the father giving such a warning.

However, as time went on and since Ardan was raised by the Novan Family after Astan's death, Ardan understood the purpose of his father's warning.

Novan family is well known, very good in fact, proof Ardan can grow into a great young man and not lack anything. However, the descendants of the Novan Family had their own dark side, so Astan thought they were pretty crazy.

They have a fighting instinct that is sometimes difficult to control.

...~*~*~*~...

In the middle of the arena field, Rafa noticed some of his juniors who were still lying on the floor with various kinds of injuries on their bodies. The health staff kept trying to take them alternately out of the Arena Room.

“Your attacks are too bad! Your fighting techniques are not good! When alluded to this - it was immediately hit mentally!” firmly Rafa was emotionless while holding his hands in his chest. “What the fuck are you guys doing...? How did you guys get through to this academy?! If you are already in the middle of a real war, you will die in vain.”

“Do not overdo it, man..”.

Rafa turned his head, found Ardan smiling and standing up while putting both hands in his pants pocket.

Seeing Ardan's presence, Rafa sighed, trying to calm his anger.

Ardan walked over to Rafa. “It's just a practice, ngetes the ability of new children. You also ngetes they're like giving real war. How not to get mental?” He wears an amused smile.

Rafa rubbed his face rough. “Sentah, Dan. Sometimes I find it difficult, you know, to control my emotions in the middle of a fight like this. Moreover, when seeing how ludicrous their fighting style was.”

“Rafaelo Adrael Novan.”

Rafa and Ardan both turned their heads, seeing an academy staff in all-black uniforms coming at them while taking notes on the tab monitor. The staff showed Rafa's value record to Rafa himself.

“You might get an A for the guidance test this time. But, after seeing an incident like this, you will most likely get a sanction.”

“How should I pay?”

“Hah?”

The staff was fixated on hearing Rafa's flat-sounding question. This young man apparently went straight to the point.

Lazily Rafa continued, “Do I have to pay the fine? Caged in the academy's dungeon? Or not to take lessons for a while? Which one is my punishment?”

Actually, the staff was astonished to see Rafa's reaction, looking completely unafraid of the punishment he would get.

The staff read the rules in the tab, “If according to the rules of the academy, students who have injured other students over the limit will be penalized. For this case, you must pay a fine of 15,000 Dt— Eh?!”

The staff was shocked when the tab he held was seized by Rafa. Rafa types something on the tab, had typed the same thing on his phone as well, then re-typed on the tab.

“Already.”

Rafa catapulted the tab into a swirl in the air, and was immediately caught by the staff in a panic.

“I've already paid the fine according to academy rules. In addition, I also added another 20,000 Dt for medical expenses and compensation facilities,” said Rafa flat. “Although I'm actually very annoyed with the juniors whose way of fighting is at such ludicrous, but I still have a heart.”

“Nothing needs to be taken care of anymore, right? If there is, you can call my brother. If you need to, get him to come here. He is still on duty until he forgets time and family,” Rafa said again.

Rafa turned around until the tail of his cloak coat fluttered, starting to step away no matter what else.

Ardan himself had given a smile to the staff, “I'm sorry my cousin who looks like it at will like that. Actually, he's obeying the rules. But, if there's something that he thinks doesn't fit his logic, he can go berserk.”

“Is he often like that?” ask the staff to Ardan.

“Not really. I know exactly what Rafa is like. Maybe there were some juniors who had upset him,” said Ardan relaxed. “If you still don't believe Rafa is an exemplary student, you can check his total grades while he's studying at this academy. Adios.”

Waving his hands with a friendly smile, Ardan also ran after Rafa, leaving the arena field which now leaves only a few staff and robots that began to drift.
