Chapter 15: Tenacity

The Academy's Administration Office also has a very large aviation field to accommodate flying transportation such as helicopters, aircraft, and rockets and space shuttles. This is because the academy itself is located in a location far from its administrative office in Merin City, the capital of Ranjaya.

In the eastern part of the field, a plane was still there. Hundreds of people from the Taruna-Taruni military academy were seen rushing into the plane before it was ready to take off. There are also two uniformed officers who are checking the list of names of Taruna-Taruni who will be delivered to the academy using the plane.

“Still three less this,” said one officer after counting the number in the tab.

“Seriously? We must get there at nine o'clock,” complained his partner.

Before long, three people in question ran in a hurry to get to the plane. Apparently they are Ardan, Rafa, and Nadia who are almost late coming. Seeing the last three passengers had arrived made the two officers breathe a sigh of relief.

“Sorry, Sir. Telat...,” said Rafa chatted when he and the two men had arrived to approach the officer.

“Ya, stop. Your Academy cards are here’in. Abis, sign to him,” the officer's orders and had appointed another officer who held the tab.

All three gave their Academy Cards to scan using a portable scan engine. When they finished, the officer returned their cards, and invited them to sign on the tab.

“If you have, log in, yes.”

“Ready, Sir.”

Once the signature was complete, the three of them immediately entered the plane.

“I first sat by the window, Bang!”

Nadia, Ardan, and Rafa hurriedly searched for a seat that was still empty. When she found an empty chair by the window, Nadia immediately sat there before her two brothers.

Rafa who was sitting while trying to squash Ardan spoke in a keto tone, “Salah herself sat by the window first.”

After being reprimanded and the officer also returned to duty, Rafa instead laughed to himself considering the hilarious reaction of Ardan and Nadia when pressed earlier.

The journey from the Administrative Office to the academy took about an hour. So, the Taruna-Taruni who were escorted chose to rest first while waiting for the plane to land.

Rafa looks cool reading the subject matter on his tab by using reading glasses and putting on a neck pillow so as not to feel tense.

Rafa is indeed among the people who are diligent in learning, even always ranked top in the academy. Already a large body, the brain is no less intelligent. It is natural that he is often respected by other cadets. Unlike Ardan who only has high scores during practice lessons or practice on the field, the rest dropped all.

Ardan himself initially wanted to decide to listen to music alone, but his intention was clouded when he saw Nadia glum while staring blankly at the view of the sky outside the window.

“If the class is mixed between guys and girls, the dorm is still separated, right? I must have stayed one unit with the girls too.”

“Terus?” rafa asked briefly while taking off the reading glasses.

There was a pause just before Nadia continued to talk, “You know for yourself 'right if I have a bad experience with fellow girls.”

Rafa and Ardan had a momentary look. They just remembered that Nadia had a bad experience when making friends with fellow women in the past.

Five years ago, when it was Junior High. Nadia has a reasonable relationship with fellow women. They like to gather together, watch dramas together, go for a walk, to do PR together. Everything seems normal and fine until something happens.

It was at lunchtime at school, Nadia who had just finished helping the teacher hand over some school documents hurriedly walked towards the canteen. Coincidentally the road in this hallway is quite stretchy and a few students pass by.

“Duh. Friends must have been waiting for me in the cafeteria,” muttered Nadia while walking and tidying up her blonde hair ties.

However, her small footsteps came to a halt in front of the door of the female changing room that happened to open slightly. There he heard the faint sound of the chatter of his friends. Nadia thinks they're in the cafeteria, apparently hanging out here instead.

At first, Nadia was about to enter and greet them cheerfully as usual, but she stopped when she heard the words that struck her heart.
