The Metal Military Academy

The Metal Military Academy
Chapter 62: The System?

Actually, Ajhu still has not thought about it. He himself only found out about Ardan's existence as Astan's son, and Ardan's Resurrection Power he saw through the video made him a little hesitant to make Ardan a target for Astan's successor.

“Entahlah. There are some points that make me still consider the decision to target Ardan.”

Ajhu also began to explain the points in question.

“First, I just found out about Ardan's whereabouts. Second, the Resurrection Power he possessed was a Category B power. Indeed, there is a possibility that Ardan has a derivative of the power of the father, but we cannot carelessly take the decision to target him as a replacement for Astan in our great project. And again..”.

Ajhu took a tab, read the data that were there and explained it.

“From the results of the data provided by my agents as well as the conclusions of Girdan, Ardan lives and is cared for by the Novan Family. That means, he is under the absolute supervision of Officer Grim, as well as the possibility of the existence of Shadow who is in the supervision of Grim anyway.”

“For now, our unit decided to postpone the project related to the power of Astan and focus more on the mission now. However, if possible, the higher-ups will send a special team on a mission to seize what Grim.” has been guarding

Shujin silently listened to Ajhu's explanation. The ambition of their military obsessed with Astan's strength and anything related to that man really makes it a little uncomfortable.

What is so special about Astan? Why did their nation so desire the power of Astan for them to be meticulous and applied as a combat weapon that claimed to be able to tear down the Galactic Union?

“Sorry if I am presumptuous to ask this. I was just wondering, why are you so obsessed with learning the power of Astan with Bayang or his son later?”

Ajhu still looked calm, he had expected that his subordinates would definitely question this reason.

Shujin was actually only tasked with overseeing the movements of the Milderan Academy during the faltering period that the Ribelo Space Military had experienced, having nothing to do with the project involving the power of Astan. He asked so out of curiosity, and it just so happened that Astan's children were studying at the academy that they had targeted for staking.

Perhaps it was time for Ajhu to tell this to one of his trusted officers.

“Then, long before the Power Revolution, hundreds of years ago, the balance of the universe was upset by cosmic anomalies. I don't know what the giant anomaly does, but the incident caused inter-dimensional relationships to break apart by creating a lot of portals in various celestial bodies such as planets, moons, to stars.”

“The portals are known as Dungeon Portals. There is filled with many monster anomalies from various planets, solar systems, galaxies, to different dimensions. The monsters that exist on various planets and outer space that we know today are the result of the cosmic anomaly.”

Shujin had thought, “Sounds like the BigBang theory or the beginning of the formation of the universe.”

“Almost. But this is simpler, yet deadly.” Ajhu goes back to saying, “At first, all nations from different planets and civilizations had difficulty dealing with the monsters because of their rapid evolution and being able to easily adapt in new environments. However, all nations are helped by the help of a mysterious artifact that lays out strange programs. The series of program modules is what they call the System, or rather they are referred to as the AutoTerra.” System

“Some nations that have more advanced civilizations try to translate the formula of the program into a wider language, apply it into technology, until it is successfully implanted into the mind of living things. And in the end, they got strength and could become the strongest with the help of this System.”

“Performance to gain power from the System is to continue fighting monsters, level up, and get various items that can be combined to create better items.”

Shujin recalled, he had learned about the history of the AutoTerra System which used to be the source of power for all people in the universe before turning to the Revival Force after the Revolutionary Power Period.

“I wonder. How can the people of the civilization in question even translate the programs of the artifact by making it like an RPG game system? Too childish,” comments Shujin flat.

“Formula of the artifact program was indeed from the beginning to describe the performance of the system similar to RPG games. Quite confusing because some levels of civilization in other solar systems there are not yet know what technology and video games because their civilization is still primitive, but also developed with the existence of AutoTerra.”

“So, do you think video games in our civilization of the universe are inspired by how the System works, such as, or even ‘something’ that creates artifacts that are inspired by video games made by our civilization? Hasn't that happened for hundreds of years?” shujin asked, confused.

“I spelled out the time according to Planet Ribelo time. If for the original time, it is difficult to describe because each location in the universe has a different time relativity.”

Shujin became dizzy with the logic of cosmic anomaly events and the creation of the AutoTerra System. Perhaps most of the events are still a mystery, and should not those who are only experts in the military even discuss things this heavy.

Ajhu budged for a while, only realizing that their discussion began to deviate a little.

From the beginning, Ajhu wanted to tell the reason by explaining his origins first in order to better understand. But, because of Shujin's kepo sense of confusion with the System's logic, so their topic of conversation became somewhat different.

“Oh, yes,” said Ajhu impressed bodo greatly.

Tuh, right....

....

After their brief confusion, Ajhu recounted the events related to the Power Revolution first before going to the reason why they were aiming for the power of Astan.

“All nations, races, are helped by the AutoTerra System. Those who use it can strengthen themselves by hunting as much as possible, and those who do not use it also benefit from feeling safe and awake by the existence of the system users,” explained Ajhu back.

“As time goes on and a civilization evolves in an even more advanced direction, some parties, including those from our civilization, innovate to modify the system.”

“By learning the basics of the AutoTerra System, many groups who are experts in this field are vying to create their own version of systems, some are inspired by games, some are, some are even inspired by the novels online.”

Shujin grinned amusedly when she heard it, “Konyol.”

“But that was the reality in the past, Captain Zeon,” reply Ajhu quiet. “From the many Modified Systems, there are Systems that are very dangerous when used by the mind of living beings. I don't know what system it's called, as I know, the side effects of that one system are fatal. Can make someone hallucinate to death.”

“Halusinated... to death..?” shujin asked half-stupefied.

Ajhu nodded. “As I recall, who created this aggressive system is a company engaged in pharmaceuticals and health, called Feron Company and one health organization called BioEmerald. They also run experiments illegally modifying this system using corrupt funds from funding to transform planet.”

“The destination is none other than and not is—.”

Ajhu draws and exhales first before continuing.

“Creating biological weapons by utilizing AutoTerra System formula. With their System, they can create suggestions on the minds of System users to want to submit to the party who set up the System made.”

“Why should I make a System formula that works only to give tasks, reward abilities, and level up users as a method of biological weapons?” shujin asked, becoming more interested in this discussion.

If it had been a matter of war and weaponry, Shujin would have been very interested in hearing and learning about it.

One of Ajhu's eyes narrowed, there was a pause for a while before the humanoid superior replied.

“Because simply put, intelligent living beings too believe in the performance of this living system or leveling as believing in their religion and ideology. You know for yourself, don't you?”

“Someone is easily duped with something he strongly believes in and makes him dependent.”

“So, the System is very likely to be used as a biological weapon that can be regulated by the master server regulator, can control and turn them into slaughter monsters, butcher monsters, and it can damage their mentality anyway if they dare to go against the System.” command
