The Murder of the Beloved

The Murder of the Beloved
Chapter 26

Then they entered Lilis's room. There, Dinda's cries could no longer be contained. He looked at the bed that was still disheveled and knew that his mother had just woken up before death to pick him up. It felt so strong that the traces of his mother's presence. Looks like his mother's still there. Hasn't gone far.

Della hugged Dinda tightly, worried that the boy would faint again. He invited her to sit for a while in bed. Dinda stared at the bed. "Don't Auntie smell mother's smell? There's still a smell to it."

Della shook her head in an anxious manner. He thought Dinda was overrated. Don't remind Dinda that the room wasn't just Lilis alone? I don't know which side Bram's place is on. " Come on Dinda. We need to find Bram's phone number. He should be notified immediately. That's our duty."

"Auntie is looking for."

Urged by time. Della rushed to open the drawers. He was very confused because he did not know how to look for it. It also feels less good to search the privacy of others. But the drawers he checked seemed to contain only Lilis's belongings. No letters or cards with Bram's name on them. He was afraid to open the closet. There's no trace of Bram in there anyway.

"Did Bram have a desk, Din?" He asks. But there's no answer. He turned his head and saw Dinda looking at the trash he had pulled from under a small table. The trash can is a plastic bucket with a footing to open the lid. In wonder and curiosity Della quickly approached. "What's up, Din?"

"See Aunt. There were broken cups and wipes wet with brown liquid. I must have drunk something before I came down, but dropped the cup. Look at the plate still on the table. The drinks haven't run out yet so it's dirtying the floor. That's the tissue that was used to clean."

Della thinks Dinda wastes time with such observations. "Come,Din. That's absolutely true. But it has nothing to do with what we have to do. Hurry up and help me."

"Think Aunt. Why did you drop the cup? I know you never drop a bowl plate while it's in use."

"Why should?" della asked with a bad feeling.

"There's something in the drink!"

"Ah..," Della glared.

"Yesbuuu! Nooon!" bi Imah's voice calling out sounded followed by his person. Bi Imah looked pale and her breathing was panting. Probably running up the stairs. He looks amazingly tense.

"What's Bi?" della was surprised. Isn't Bustaman guarding downstairs?

"There was a call from Bram nanyain's mother. So all told by the bus. Said he'd be home soon. So it's sorted out. Don't look around anymore." Bi Iman told me with his eyes drying around the room.

"Here Bi. It just so happens that Mr. Bram has not come yet. Let's tell a clear story," Dinda ruled. "What did you drink?" he asked while pointing at the plate on the table.

"Oh that. The father who made. As far as auntie coffee milk. The coffee's instant, the milk's pure milk."

"Auntie see make it?"

"No. Diliatin. Not happy dong. Who brought it here also father. But dad often does. Yesterday I made some sweet tea. Yesterday again milk chocolate. So changeable."

"So before I woke up, she brought me a drink?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"alright. Now tell me how Aunt saw mom fall. I want to hear from my own aunt."

Bi Imah told in a trembling voice. The horror returned when repeating the story that had been told just now. Dinda heard silently. Della who already knows the story more to observe Dinda's attitude. He was astonished to discover how seriously Dinda was listening. At such a time Dinda's tiny face became adult-looking.

Suddenly Dinda exclaimed, "So mom looks like a sick person Bi?"

"And before he fell he screamed first?"

"Bi Imah thought first. "Rubber. Aunt sure is right."

"Good bi. Had enough. Comedown first. We've been following lately."

"Bram's coming soon." Bi Imah reminded again.

"Yes, Bi."

"Why did Bi Imah say that?" ask Della after Bi Imah is not seen.

"I mean don't let us be found here by Om Bram."

"Oh yeah? Well then let's get downstairs quickly." Della was worried.

"Ah, why should I be afraid of Auntie?"

"Not scared. Not good."

Dinda took out the trash can following the plate that was on the table. He took her along. "What do you want?" ask Della.

"This is evidence, Auntie. I'd like to keep. Who knows if there's poison."

"Eh, don't say that in front of Bram Din. Don't make a fuss in front of your mother's body, it's no good."

"Yes, Aunt." said Dinda obediently. "But Auntie told Om Bus later huh? Bus is a doctor. So it's easier to check that stuff into the lab."

"Well," Della quickly promised. He knows something ads Dinda. But he doesn't really want to talk about it now, when so much has to be done. It is impossible to fuss over something uncertain when the real problem has not been resolved.

Dinda handed the trash can to Bi Imah to be stored and advised not to throw the contents. "It's important, yes Bi."

"Yes, Non," said Bi Imah without asking. He had lost the courage to ask questions. He was tired of talking too.

Bram arrived shortly afterwards. He looked surprised after being told. With an emotional attitude he smashed into Lilis' body and hugged and kissed her. But Dinda watched him with a burning look. When Bram looked at her, Dinda looked away. Bram renounces his intention to convey his sorrow to Dinda, all while comforting her.

As a husband, Bram had the right to determine the treatment of Lilis's body according to his religion. Bram decides to rent a funeral parlor at the hospital where Lilis' body is buried. There the service ceremony can be held as well as receiving guests. He considers the house too narrow and troublesome.

It was agreed together. Dinda also agreed. Actually, the reason he thought was not the same as what Bram said. If many guests come to the house, especially relatives, of course they will be nosy to wonder and look at the state of the house, especially the stairs. It will be very tiring and stressful. He told Bi Imah who received the most questions.

After the matter was agreed, Bram conveyed his intention to cremate Lilis' body. Dinda surprised. "No!" yells. Everyone was shocked to see Dinda's spontaneous emotional reaction. Johan who was also present at the event was even more shocked. Suddenly he saw a different Dinda than usual. Dinda who seems to keep something she does not know. There was prejudice and misgivings when he saw Dinda's gaze that contained hostility to Bram. What is it exactly?
