The Perfect Match
Revives anger

Ken replied to some of the messages in his email. Re-reading the report on the desk, until a knock made him stop the activity. “Excuse me sir, your sister is already in front.”

A smile adorned Ken's face, “Tell him in, I was already waiting for his presence.”

“Good sir.” The secretary shut Ken's door. Indeed, for a long time he had set the policy, Ken did not allow anyone to enter carelessly into his room. Everyone had to pass the secretary first, except for three people, Alicia, Richard and Agatha.

Ken closed his laptop slowly, straightened his body and waited for what Carl would say. Before long, the door of the room opened, Carl entered so stiffly, his face seemed to hold a grudge. “Sit up Carl, what's up?” Ask Ken casually and amiably. Carl sat down in his seat, body movements began to look relaxed and the face looked usual.

“I, there's something I want to ask kak.”

“Does anything bother your mind?” Carl nodded. His eyes now look as if waiting.

“A-I still don't understand all this, since when are you guys close?” Ask Carl who seems to be unable to bear the curiosity anymore.

Ken folds one leg and rests on the other. “Do I have to tell you the details? Everything just happened, every meeting that forced me to stay close to Valerie. Makes me and Valerie interact a lot.”

“But, haven't you never liked Valerie? You've always stayed away from Valerie a long time ago.” Ken laughed a little at that.

“That was Carl, we met this time, when he was an adult and had the look of the woman I wanted. Even I was a little sorry to always ignore the message back then.” Carl clenched his hands, they shouldn't have gone back to Los Angeles, all because of that fucking runway.

Ken seemed to shake his head, “Si and Siena are only friends, she is a loyal woman with her lover. The media overestimated my closeness to Siena not that far.”

The atmosphere was so bland, there was no warm atmosphere between sister and brother. Everything feels stiff and clutching. “Kak. Does it have nothing to do with Amber?”

“Oh, I've even forgotten that incident. Why did you suddenly bring it back?” it's interesting, really interesting, Ken feels ready to blow his emotions if Carl dares to defend himself and cram Amber back, they're both just as rotten, they're both, there is no need to explain how bad a person is just to endear themselves. It just makes Ken sick.

“No, I just don't want Valerie to be your tool of revenge, she doesn't have anything wrong. I. I love her so much. I beg you to return Valerie to me. I think in that matter we're done and you forgive me, I've given everything I've got to you, is it just because a woman like Amber can break our relationship?”

“Just calm Carl, I didn't make him any tool for revenge, nor did I ever force you to give anything to me. Valerie and I really love each other. You don't have to worry, I'll take care of her and make sure Valerie will be happy with me.” Ken looked at his watch, then looked at Carl with his sorry face. “Oh, it looks like our conversation got here first Carl, I have to pick up Valerie, we'll try the bridal outfit.”

Ken stood up and grabbed his suit, tidied up the sides of his arms and prepared to leave. Looking at Carl who understood and stood up, Ken walked first, just past Carl's body, a statement that slapped him rang. “So, haven't you ever liked my ex?” Damnit damnit!
