(Season 3) Ezra's Birthday

The shining rays of the sun illuminated the earth, Birds chirping flying across a lake. The breeze gently blew away some of the surrounding leaves. At the edge of the lake was seen a small black unraveling child sitting there pensive.

He hugged his knees while looking at the reflection of his shadow on the surface of the water, The look of his face was grim interspersed with the breath of the little boy. For a moment his eyes were so empty as if he had no spirit of life.

Taps! Taps! Taps!

Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching to make him shift his gaze, his Emerland green Netra caught the figure of a girl who looked nervous, The girl suddenly stopped her steps when stared at by the green-toothed Emerland child.

"Ah, Ano..," The girl twisted the edge of her clothes nervously, gazing at the green-tinted child emerland doubtfully. "I'm-Sorry to bother you before, but can you help me?"

The little boy with green netra exhaled, He looked back at the lake before him. "Go, I can't help you!"

"That's it," A moment sounded a disappointed tone from the girl behind him. The girl lowered her head still twisted the edge of her clothes nervously. "I was looking for someone, and when I met you I thought you could help me. Because I don't know the ins and outs of this place,"

The little girl in green chose to quietly listen even though she did not care much about the girl's problems. Highlight green netra can not be separated from the reflection of his shadow.

"You'd better go home, your parents will be looking for you" said the green-titled child without looking at the girl.

Instantly the girl looked back down. "I-I can't go home,"

"I'm not from this place, so I don't know where. I came here just to find someone after a few months of not meeting," added the daughter sadly.

The little boy with the green color immediately turned his gaze to look at the girl, He did not answer for a few seconds.

"You really don't know where this is?"

"Which direction are you coming from?"

"That's there, there used to be a big portal but now it's gone," The girl pointed to two large trees that were not far from their position.

"Huh?! The portal?" The green-faced child's forehead shriveled confusedly, believing that the girl in front of him was just hallucinating. "I was here a few hours ago, and I'm sure that I was alone here before you came. From the beginning there was no portal between the trees,"

The green child stood up from his seat, walking towards the girl. "You lied about the portal, or you hallucinated playing around in the first place. I don't know you, so I won't help you. Excuse me,"

The green son stepped away leaving the daughter behind him.

"I'm not lying about that portal, please help me!" The girl said loudly, Wishing the green-toothed boy stopped his steps and helped him.

Unfortunately, the green-toothed child did not care at all and continued to step out of the park area.

Ezra woke up from his sleep, a little groan. Her green net was staring at the ceiling of the room with a glare. For a moment his hand was raised just blocking the sunlight that was slipping from the gaps of the curtains.

He sat himself down trying to gather his consciousness that had not yet fully accumulated, With the typical disheveled hair of waking up without waiting for long Ezra stepped towards the bathroom with a towel on his shoulders.

After finishing with her morning ritual and dressed casually, Ezra walked out of the room towards the kitchen. She hoped Chloe would not forget to make breakfast for the two of them, otherwise she would come back to catch the girl.

The aroma of cooking filled the room as Ezra set his foot there, he sat himself in one of the chairs. And it seemed that the blue-covered girl was aware of his presence.

"Oh, Good morning sir,"

"Morning,"

She catches sight of Chloe cooking breakfast for the two of them, lazily checking out the schedule on her Handphone while waiting for Chloe to finish.

"Tomorrow it's back to work, I haven't had time to check the map in the office," thought Ezra staring at one by one schedule for tomorrow listed in his watch.

Chloe put their breakfast in front of Ezra and herself, not forgetting to pour two glasses of orange juice that she just made.

"Tomorrow has really started work again sir?"

"Hm..."

Ezra grabbed his fork and spoon and started eating his breakfast. Chloe sipped her orange juice before eating breakfast.

"And tomorrow I also have a meeting with another colleague," added Ezra sipping his drink for a moment.

"Michelle Company Group,"

Hearing the surname 'Michelle' makes Chloe's activities stop, Chloe involuntarily mutters someone's name.

"Oh," Chloe joh ria responded to Ezra's words. The girl resumed her breakfast after there was no more chat between the two of them.

"I'm done, if your job is done. Flush the plants in the garden" said Ezra as he climbed up from his seat and walked away from the room.

Chloe simply nodded as she looked at Ezra's departure, She pondered back in her mind.

"Oh yes, Today is not it." Blue Netra sparkled happily after remembering the day she had been waiting for and she guessed Ezra must have forgotten her day.

"I have to make something for Mr. Ezra," In the spirit Chloe rushed to finish her breakfast.

After she finishes cleaning Ezra's cutlery and herself, Chloe immediately cooks something to surprise Ezra.

The green sliced Netra stared at every line of sentence without exception, She kept turning the pages of the book she was holding.

Today is her day off, of course without those document maps because she finished it with Chloe yesterday. So Ezra had plenty of time off.

At least until the sound of the knocking came to make the activity stop for a moment.

"Lake in!"

"Sir Ezra?" Chloe poked her head from behind the door looking at Ezra who was looking back at her. The girl approached Ezra's desk after closing the door earlier.

"What's wrong?" Ezra said after Chloe stood in front of him, He closed the book until his attention turned to Chloe completely.

"Mr today please?" Chloe smiled cheerfully.

"Hm,"

"Then you should come with me for a moment. There's a surprise for you waiting in the kitchen,"

Ezra's forehead shriveled in annoyance, He put his book on the table while climbing up from there. "What are you doing again? Don't waste my time, yeah,"

"No, just for a minute. Come on," Tell Chloe to be cheerful. He stepped first with a spirit followed by Ezra behind him.

After opening the kitchen door, Ezra was flabbergasted by the sight before him. He could not even speak so much that he was shocked.

The atmosphere of the kitchen looks different than usual, with tablecloths decorated with a variety of origami decorations and several colorful straps. Not to forget a medium-sized cake was placed in the middle of the table with some candles on it, and a large enough parcel beside the cake.

Actually only the decoration of the table is different, for the atmosphere of the room is the same as before it's just neater and kinclong of course.

Chloe ran into the middle of the room, standing next to the table. Then back to cheerful exclaiming.

"Happy birthday, Mr. Ezra!"

Ezra was still speechless, as if his voice was stuck in the esophagus. The young man stepped closer to the side of the table, his gaze could not be separated from the birthday cake that was already available there.

"All this...You made it?" Ezra turned his gaze, Staring at the girl who seemed to be chuckling.

"Yes," Then Chloe rubbed her nape that did not itch, Feeling clumsy because it only made the decoration potluck. "I'm sorry sir, I can only make a makeshift decoration including the cake. Because I thought we were just celebrating together, so the party was simple,"

Ezra sat himself right in front of the cake, and shook his head in response. "No problem, I even forgot my birthday. Even if we're just celebrating together, I think this is enough,"

Her green net dimmed for a moment, This is the first time she has celebrated her own birthday. Since childhood no one celebrated his birthday including his own parents, They never fulfilled his request though, and did not let Ezra say 'No' to them, ' No' to them, Although little Ezra hoped his birthday was celebrated with his parents even if only once.

But he knew it would never happen, it would all just be his delusion. So Ezra always thought the birthday party was just nonsense, so he was used to not being celebrated. But this time....

Ezra looked back at the cake, thinking for a moment what supplication he wanted. He closed his eyes, ready to blow out the candle.

"I don't know what I want, 'cause this is the first time I've ever celebrated my own birthday. It's kind of childish, but it makes me feel like I'm going back to a time when I was a kid, like nostalgia,"

Ezra opened his eyes looking at the candle that was still burning brightly. "Please meet me with my friends. With Aiden, Felix, Ian, Raizel, Devian, Rion, And Justin. This time alone, I want to see their faces and talk to them once again,"

The three candles immediately died simultaneously after Ezra blew it, a moment of joyful applause from Chloe while saying congratulations to the young man.

"One more time, happy birthday sir. Now it's time to cut the cake" Chloe grabbed the knife that was available next to the cake and thrust it at the young man.

Ezra accepted, He cut a quarter of the cake. And put the piece of cake to the plate, after which he handed the cake to Chloe.

"I tried it the first time?" Chloe looked at the cake that was thrust at her.

"Of course, you're the one who made this cake" Reply Ezra was busy cutting the cake.

Chloe finally tried her own homemade cake, The girl smiled brightly after trying it.

"Ah, that's delicious. It's not in vain that I learned the recipe from Kak Felix's cookbook," thought Chloe pleased, Enjoy her homemade cake.

"What does that package contain?" Ezra's gaze was fixed on a large enough parcel beside the cake. Sometimes he chews his cake.

"Oh that, Secret dong," Chloe chuckled softly. "If you want to know just open it, the parcel is indeed a gift for the father,"

Ezra sipped his mineral water for a moment, having finished his meal. He brushed his lips with the available tissue. His hand grabbed the parcel and opened it a little quickly.
