(Season 3) A proposal?

There was a few seconds of silence, none of which opened their voices after Chloe's last statement. That serious gaze and glittering netra radiance meant that there was not a single lie from his words. But just for a moment the silence came suddenly the sound of laughter from Ray and Eli, The sound of laughter filled the entire room.

"Haha! Geez, Chloe you could have made a joke of it. I thought there was something serious" Eli said, wiping the corner of his watery eyes from laughing.

"Geez, Chloe you have no other clan besides Maximillian now.Sister admitted your words were quite entertaining, You were smart to joke," said Ray chuckling.

Chloe just looked flat. "I thought they wouldn't believe it, anyway,"

"You're just kidding, aren't you Chloe?" Ray's laughter subsided, and so did Eli. The two stared at Chloe's expressionless face.

Realizing that Chloe was just silent, Slowly made Ray anxious. He's holding Chloe's shoulder slowly.

"You're just kidding, right?" Ray asked carefully, Okay now he's starting to worry because Chloe's just quiet.

"It's hard to believe, I know that Ray and Eli's brother don't believe it. But I said honestly, I'm not Ray's real brother" Chloe replied calmly, Ray started to fidget but she covered him with a gentle smile.

Ray touched Chloe's forehead with the back of his hand. "Ah, I think you're exhausted by the show. Look at your body temperature a little high, so you start talking no-no. Take a break, you're testing again tomorrow, right? Prepare yourself well,"

Hearing that makes Chloe exhale, she realizes that Ray is switching the topic. The man seemed to be dismissing Chloe's true statement, as if he did not want to believe it.

The girl decided to follow Ray's words, Let them not believe now. Maybe someday they'll see the truth.

He kept Ray's hand away from his forehead. "Big brother is right, maybe I'm exhausted because of the show. Then I'll go first, sorry to bother you guys,"

Chloe stood up, walked slowly out of Ray and Eli's room until she was out of their sight.

After Chloe leaves, Ray sits down again. He rubbed a moment of his face, staring blankly at the floor below him.

Eli was silent for a moment, He rubbed her husband's shoulder. To be honest, she felt hesitant, but tried to brush off Chloe's statement just now in her mind.

"Ray, what if what Chloe said was true?" Eli asked worriedly.

Ray shook his head weakly, He smiled softly as he clasped Eli's hand which was on his shoulder.

"No way, it's not gonna happen Eli. She's still my sister, want her family to change or something. She's still my little sister, I'm sure everything she said was just a joke,"

"I hope so, too" Eli leaned his head against Ray's shoulder, Holding her husband's arm while closing his eyes.

Ray rubbed Eli's mane, leaning his head over his wife's head.

For now Ray just wants to spend his time with his wife without thinking about anything first.

Rafael, Azura, Xavier, and Vallen who have since heard the conversation between Chloe (Even though the girl is gone now), Ray, and Eli from behind the door just look at each other as if they are exchanging ideas.

"You hear that?" Raphael's whispers looked at his brothers.

"Chloe Watson? Do you believe what he said just now," Azura whispered.

"What can you conclude?" Rafael looked at Xavier who was still serious.

Chloe stopped her steps in a park, the park was so quiet with no one there but Chloe. The park where he skateboarded with Ezra.

The girl fiddled with her watch, looking at a message she received a few hours ago.

From: Ezra Miracle

To: Chloe Maximilian

...At 9 o'clock meet me at the park where we skateboard first, I have something to tell you and it's important....

Well, Ezra's last words were always accompanied by threats according to Chloe.

Not long after, Chloe felt a hand holding her hand while Chloe's hand was still holding the gun, preparing to take aim. Now that the girl felt the body of someone stuck to her back, the sound of a fast racing heartbeat Chloe could hear it clearly.

Slowly Chloe's face heated up as the hand led her hand to pull the trigger, The warm breath as if tickling Chloe's neck.

"You've got to focus on your target, otherwise you're going to go wrong,"

Ezra's soft voice entered Chloe's listener, It was so close that it almost made Chloe stupefied and trembling. Now Chloe's heart is beating in rhythm with the roar of her breath.

Realizing Chloe didn't say anything made Ezra glance, she slightly lowered her head looking at the girl's face.

"I see, Let's practice again," Chloe looked up, Now she smiled cheerfully as usual.

Ezra gave a small nod and he positioned himself just like before. Standing behind Chloe while guiding her hand towards the tree trunk. Chloe slowly focused on her target, ignoring the sound of her fast-paced heartbeat.

The sound of gunshots echoed, The smell of gunpowder faintly smelled as Chloe pulled the trigger at Ezra's direction. Chloe noticed the large crack that was on the tree trunk.

The girl looked at Ezra with a happy smile, Ezra nodded slowly and smiled slightly. He rubbed Chloe's blue mane for a moment.

"Keep practicing, I'll keep an eye on you from there,"

"Good,"

Chloe honed her shooting skills again, while Ezra sat herself in the garden chair right next to Chloe's sling bag. He watches Chloe practice while eating the snacks she brings. Accompanied by the sound of Chloe's rehearsal shots.

Moments later, Chloe, tired of training, approaches Ezra. He sat next to the man while holding his gun and leaning his body on the back of the chair.

"Oh, I'm tired sir. How many hours did I practice?"

"4 hours" said Ezra, looking at the twilight sky above them.

"Old as it turns out, I'm tired of it all, too" Chloe pinched her shoulder for a moment, Feeling a bit sick.

Silence surrounded the two, Ezra silently looked as if she was thinking about something.

Ezra picked up an object from his suit pocket, staring softly until Chloe's voice entered his hearing.

The man then pulled his hand from Chloe's grasp and ruffled his waist with a sharp look even though his face was still heating up. He immediately flicked Chloe's forehead without lingering.

"Oh, what's my fault, sir? I'm just telling you the truth from my deepest heart. Why is it being spun again?" Chloe grimaced as she stared blankly at Ezra. He thinks there's nothing wrong with what he said just now but why Ezra doesn't seem to like it.

Ezra turned his face away, Still feeling annoyed. "You stole my line, I should have said so!"

"O-Oh, so I'm wrong again huh," Chloe rubbed her nape bumbling, She got embarrassed herself for the sentence earlier.

Ezra exhaled, Now the red hue still adorns his cheeks. Slowly he grabbed Chloe's hand, Grasping her a little tightly.

"Forgot it, there's something more important to say" Ezra took a breath before exhaling again. Chloe chose to quietly listen to Ezra's words carefully.

"I'm probably not as good as Felix, not as quiet as Aiden, not as considerate as Raizel, and not as romantic as Ian. But I will try to be the best in your eyes, and I will make you happier than you are now. Therefore, "Ezra looked seriously and then he took off his grip and took out a red velvet box from behind his pocket.

He slowly opened the box, revealing the contents to the girl, a jewel ring with golden sides.
