Chapter 20 Take advantage of me, Elena.

Louis enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony of his room overlooking the banquet hall, he reserved this room specifically and hoped to see Elena from that distance.

Suddenly there was a commotion that made Louis confused, out of curiosity Louis decided to go see for himself what happened. He was just standing in front of the gate. It was not long before there was a debate between Elena and Ernest that worried Louis.

After that Elena walked out of the hall with the noble ladies behind her, Louis wanted to get closer. But when he saw Ernest coming, Louis chose to remain silent.

"Elena." Ernest blocked Elena's hand violently, "Stop all this. You can't treat me like this, without my permission then you never think of leaving me."

"Take me off!" Elena pulled his hand. But Ernest's strength was much greater than his, he couldn't let go of his hand.

"Are you deaf? let him go" the noble ladies urged Ernest.

Ernest looked at them with a stern look and said, "Don't interfere."

"You're coming with me." Ernest pulled Elena.

"Wait!" Louis blocked his path, upsetting Ernest.

"What's wrong with you? you wanna interfere? don't forget the crown prince, you lost to me during the match. This is also the business of lovers, pull over!" Ernest's orders.

"Winning is my choice. Elena hasn't been your lover since a few minutes ago either. And you also better not forget I'm the crown prince, if I want something then you're not worth fighting with me."

"Hmphs. She's my Elena. Let alone you wanting it even if you dare to put bad intentions on him, I will make you regret it. You are not in a strong position because the Ransom family is only subject to the emperor."

"What's this about? why would Louis do something like this? is it just because I helped her practice or is there something else?" inner Elena.

"Let's Elena." Louis extended his hand to Elena.

"Elena, if you hold her hand then our relationship is over, even if you beg me once I won't look at you again" Ernest threatened.

"Since then our relationship has ended" Elena replied. Holding Louis's hand, Louis brushed Ernest's hand off Elena's right hand and pulled Elena away.

After walking far enough Elena took her grip off Louis's hand, it made Louis stop stepping and turn around.

"I'm helping you train and you're helping me get away from Ernest. Now that we're even, act like we don't know each other" Elena told Louis.

"You can use me as much as you want to get that guy really away from you. And I hope you won't come back to her, because if not now then in the future she might betray you again" Louis replied to Elena's astonishment.

"Why do I feel like you're so sure that Ernest will betray me?" 

"Insting a man. So don't hesitate to call me when you need to, maybe not now. But, I'll wait for you until you want to. Come back early and see you later." Louis smiled until he decided to leave first.

Elena couldn't understand Louis any more than now, she didn't know why Louis made her feel that they were so close. Elena wants to know everything about Louis. But this was not the right time for it, he was unwilling to believe in any man anymore after all Ernest's betrayal.

"This is my life, and the path of destiny that I have made myself. Then I don't need anyone to help me, I won't owe anyone. Remember Elena, you are reborn with a great purpose so do not be lulled by all the sweetness and beauty of others" Elena's inner heart strengthened.

Elena returns to her room to start a new plan, she must take her family to high ground until all the worries in her heart are gone.

"Gee. Good drama, very good. You should have been a theater actor rather than my son, I gave birth to a duke to this world instead of an actor," joked Jovanka who walked up to Ernest.

"Not once did I remind you not to approach Sonia. But you always argue, see what that woman did? not only have you lost Elena, you've lost all your honor. Somehow I looked at the faces of the noble ladies at the gathering later," continued Elena.

"I'm sorry, mother. It's all my fault" replied Ernest.

"No, hon. It's not your fault. I'm wrong, all the wrongs are on me."

"I beg you not to say that, Mother. You've never been wrong in your entire life."

"I've made a big mistake in my life. The mistake was to give birth to a stupid child like this, I should have picked up a child from the orphanage just to make my child."

"No ma'am, no. I'll fix everything, please don't be mad at me. Whatever I want you'll fill everything."

"alright. From now on I want you to be a selfish man, from tomorrow don't see Elena. But make him come back on his own to you, act like you don't feel a loss or anything. That way, Elena will realize her mistake until she begs to be on your feet" ordered Jovanka. Ernest replied with a nod.

Aaron and Carlos go back to Elena's room worried about her, Aaron never announces his engagement to Qinthia because they are all worried about Elena. The Qinthia Family was also willing to delay the announcement because they felt affection for Elena.

Arriving at Elena's room, Aaron went straight in. But the circumstances inside Elena's room left Aaron speechless, Carlos who had just arrived was as surprised as Aaron.

"ah! you guys have come home apparently. Welcome," Elena said to her two brothers, after which she refocused on playing cards with Mimi and several other servants.

Aaron rubbed his face and asked Elena, "What is this?" 

"What is this? you don't see we're playing?" Elena asked back in a taut tone.

"played? what's right you are. Aren't you shaken again? in that hall you were devastated to see Ernest with Sonia. Then when you get back here you look happy."

"Of course he's happy" interrupted Qinthia who had just arrived. He went straight into Elena's room and sat down with the others.

"Sister-in-law, what do you mean? you saw for yourself how they argued. Why does Elena have to be happy after all? has he made up with Ernest again?" this time Carlos asked.

Qinthia and Elena looked at each other then laughed out loud, they both made Carlos and Aaron both really upset and confused.
