CHAPTER 23
Today some parties are happy, some are very sad. Darren and Zaila's wedding party is in full swing. Zaila is very happy, but not for Darren.

Malvin takes Shani away from the hotel room, an expensive hotel that Argantara's family has hired to hold Darren's wedding with Zaila.

“Why?”
Shani was silent for a while, trying to gather all her thoughts to reveal to Malvin. “You won't understand. But you certainly know what would happen if I got married to Darren.”
“Darren is my boss. What do office people say if they know suddenly I married my own boss?”
Malvin grinning. “Why do you think of the talk of those who-”
“Not just that,” by Shani. “You know how Mr Wirawan will respond? He was Darren's soul mate with that woman. And I'm sure for whatever reason, Darren's parents wouldn't agree that I was with Darren until I got married.”
Malvin. Even if Shani and Darren are really going to get married, Wirawan could have done something far more extreme than disapproval. Malvin knows how his character is.
“We cannot get married without parental blessing. And I can't marry his only son, Mr. Wirawan. I don't know why, but I feel like Darren doesn't deserve to coexist.”
“Who said you weren't worthy? To be honest, you're too good for Darren. Do you know what Darren did in America? Something that has even been too deviant in religion and norms in our country,” said Malvin.
Shani is silent, stunned, increasingly lamenting the destruction of her life.

Malvin froze. His heart rippled at hearing Shani's words which seemed to make his heart slump down and refused to beat again. Getting pregnant? Did he not hear wrong? Shani pregnant???
Shani covered her face with both palms, crying and continuing to cry. Malvin was struck with the bitter reality, but even more bitter when the reality was felt by Shani at this time. Malvin tries to strengthen his heart, and he starts hugging Shani.
