CHAPTER 60 DOES RAIHAN INSIST?

"I'm sorry, Mom, I already have a partner of my own. I hope you don't force me to marry someone I don't love...."

Bu Retno did not immediately respond to Raihan's refusal to his will. Stared at him for a moment the third son clingy.

For a moment, Bu Retno thought, is Raihan's speech just a rejection or indeed Raihan already has his own partner who he does not know?

"For a long time I have had a boyfriend, Mom," said Raihan began to bluntly, "before mother betrothed me to mother's choice."

Retno then turned to look at Shafira. The old but still beautiful woman knew and understood that only Shafira understood the most about Raihan. So he immediately asked about the truth of Raihan's words to his second daughter.

"Did Raihan have a girlfriend, Fira?"

Shafira did not answer her mother's question. He looked back at Raihan, constantly asking about what he was thinking.

"Have you turned Lala back, Rai?"

For a moment Raihan looked at his mother who looked back at him for a few seconds. Then he turned to look at Shafira. Keep answering her sister's questions.

"We haven't actually broken up, Ma'am...."

Raihan's answer clearly makes Shafira and Dr. Kenzie. So Shafira immediately responded to that answer quickly.

"Loh, you said Lala asked to break up with you. How the hell?"

"Lala asked me to break up because I had to," said Raihan explained the truth. "He was threatened by his father if he didn't kill me. That's why I said we haven't actually broken up."

"Have you met for half a year?" shafira asked in curiosity.

"The meeting has never been," said Raihan honestly admitted. "But I already know where he is other than in his house and on campus."

"Fira, Rai, who's Lala?" asked Ms. Retno immediately as if interrupting the conversation of her two children.

Neither Shafira nor Raihan answered their mother's questions. He stared at the old woman for a moment, then caught up with them looking at each other.

Although Dr. Kenzie also looked at his wife and sister-in-law. The young doctor knew what the two were thinking. But he still chose silence.

"Lala's a nickname, Pa, Ma" Shafira said carefully. "The real name is Viola Amanda...."

"Viola's daughter Hellen you mean?" guess Miss Retno is fast pitched sharp.

"I. yes, Ma," said Shafira somewhat timidly.

"How dare you get into a relationship with the son of our family's enemy, Rai?" reprimand Bu Retno half yell.

Anger was coming out of his old face. Both of his eyes immediately stared intently full of annoyance at the third son. There was disappointment too.

Raihan remained in a quiet mode accepting his mother's snaps. The bellowing-pitched rebuke had no effect on the young man. Because he still thinks he's not part of that family.

It was just that he did not want to oppose his mother harshly. Although the pain in his heart due to his mother's stubbornness in scraping the pain in his childhood, still he appreciated the old woman as the woman who gave birth to him.

Shafira did not know what to say or do to defend her sister. Seeing her mother's anger towards Raihan scared her too.

"Your father can still not consider you as his son," said Bu Retno trying to take Raihan's heart. "But me, your mother still thinks you're a child. You're still mom's biological son, son...."

Not long ago Raihan looked at the photo of the girl he was betrothed to, he was immediately shocked not to play, actually. Because it turns out that Michella who was betrothed to him is indeed Michella who is in his house now.

Michella was surprised to see her for the first time. Apparently the young man she was betrothed to was her brother Bayu.

Raihan should have been shocked to hear his mother's decision. But because he had anticipated that the decision would still be thrown, Raihan was not surprised.

But his mind was of course thinking hard how to resist the matchmaking without hurting his mother's feelings.
