The Sugar Daddy Heritage
First Aid

Hendrik again came to interrogate Vania. There's a big hole in Vania's case that she can't break. “Try to remember everything again. Slowly. There may be details that you think are unimportant until you subconsciously ignore them. What do you see or find when you return to your room?”

Vania was silent while thinking hard. “The door opens, all the food spills onto the floor. I don't know why I could be that confused. What Daddy himself accidentally pulled fell everything or ..”

“Forward. Remember again. Is anything suspicious? Someone or something unusual? Anything. Tell me everything.” Hendrik continued to extract information from Vania.

Last night he thought about Vania's motive for killing Johan and got the fact that it was possible that the suspect was not only Vania. He's used to interrogating murderers, fraudsters, and any criminal. His instincts as an investigator have been honed for years. He can smell the lies of those he has interrogated, but Vania is different.

“Can someone enter that room before I come?” Vania sounded hesitant. "But Johan couldn't have opened the door for just anyone. No one knows we were there other than Barli and I don't know where he got the information about that.”

“What do you think of Barley? Is there anyone else who doesn't like your relationship with the victim?"

Vania is playing her fingers. “Barli hates me. He doesn't like me being in a relationship with his father. Yes, it is only natural in my opinion. Who likes the fact that his father is dating his ex-girlfriend?"

“And you contacted him while in the hospital, didn't you?”

“Yes, of course. The hospital wants me to contact my family. Barley was the first person that came to my mind. He was shocked and devastated. Liana came afterwards and she kicked me out. Then somehow, the police came and reporters suddenly gathered in front of the hospital and hunted me with questions.”

“Liana Barli's. He was the first to contact the police.” Hendrik said the phrase was more for himself.

“Yes. Besides Barli, Liana is also a person who also dislikes my relationship with Johan. After I thought about it, her hatred for me must have been huge because the first thing she did upon arrival at the hospital was drag me out instead of seeing her father.”

“What time does Liana arrive at the hospital?”

“Around eleven thirty. Yes, I remember because at that time the doctor announced Johan's death at exactly eleven o'clock, and Liana arrived a bit long after.”

Hendrik tapped the table with his finger, his old habit when he realized something. The list of suspects in his record is growing again. Someone unexpected, but who knows?

“Mother Vania, I know how heavy this problem is for you.”

Hendrik stared intently at Vania. In his heart Hendrik admitted that Vania was a very beautiful woman. No wonder Barli and Johan are competing over this woman.

“Transfer yourself! You are the prime suspect in this case. So, try to keep in mind every detail of the incident that night because there could be small things that can free you from all accusations.”

“I'm not the killer. What am I supposed to do? I knew nothing about the murder. Why should I be a suspect? It's insane! I really love Johan. We were in that room celebrating our togetherness. We love each other. We're very happy. Why should I kill him? Oh, no, Mr. Police, I can't possibly hurt Johan.”

“I just left Johan for a while to get down to the lobby. He's still in good health. But as soon as I got back, the door was already open and he was sprawled there. Please help me. Didn't you find any other evidence in that room?"

Hendrik. “Nothing. No witnesses, no fingerprints, no evidence whatsoever. There is no CCTV footage. The only one who knows if there is anyone else there after you leave is Johan. And unfortunately, he won't be able to tell us.”

Vania was pensive for a moment before finally trying to recall all her memories that night. After he met Barli, he was so agitated that he did not have time to pay attention to what pu or anyone, including the people in front of him. To the point that, he almost hit someone. Holy hooch! No way! Vania's eyes grew bigger. “I think I saw the real killer.”

“What?” Hendrik changed his seat.

“As I walk back to the room. In the hallway to the room, someone with a mask on his face came from the opposite direction, but our room was at the very end, there was no other room. So, he must have come from our room. My feeling was bad when I met him. Not wrong anymore! It must be him! Killer.” Vania tensed.

***

Hendrik offered her a lawyer to defend her later in court. Vania was of course relieved by the offer, but she felt she still had time to consider which lawyer really had the ability to help her get out of the law.

As the female officer once told her, that this case was no joke. His status is as a suspect of premeditated murder.

She knew tears would not help her. Won't take him anywhere. Therefore Vania racked her brain, searching for the name of a lawyer while continuing to pray and hope that God would kindly send a savior for her. Prayers answered.

On the next visit hour, they called her name, “Mother Vania, there is someone who wants to meet.”

Officers came to unlock the prison cell and led him to move to another room. Vania wondered, could it be that Avan had finally come? Was it his mother who had asked Avan to come visit him?

Who came was not Avan, but someone else. “You who?” vania asked a man wearing an official suit.

“I've guessed you won't remember me, Vania. It's me, Leon, your classmate at school.”

Leon's? Vania covered her open mouth in surprise. He remembered. A serious, bespectacled man, who often steals glances with him in class. Vania did not pay much attention to him.

“Leon the Fat?” tanyanya could not believe it. Leon, who was round in stature, cheeks pinched and always looked red like a tomato, especially when he was talking to her. How time has done so much to this young man, in a very good way, because Leon who now no longer wears glasses and looks very handsome. The fat on his body had gone nowhere.

Leon smiled and nodded. “Yes, it's me Leon and I want to offer to be your lawyer.”
