The Tears of Mella

The Tears of Mella
Chapters. 3. Magic Lamp

Mella was pensive to hear all the words of the woman who had helped her. He was silent and allowed what he said.

"Mother, thank you for reminding Mella, Mella promised to try to get up" Mella replied.

"It's better, and it'll be better if you prove it." replied the woman.

Mella smiled, she was very grateful because there were still people who cared about her. But he was confused where to go home. Because his parents' modest home had been confiscated and until now there was still a police line.

Maybe Mella should see her uncle or aunt in order to take Mella in for a while. Maybe that's the best way for now.

"Mother, may I know your mother's name ? one day if Mella wants to meet Mella can ask her co-worker mother." asked Mella broke the silence.

"Just call Della, in the union almost everyone knows mom." replied Della's mother with a smile.

"Well, later if Mella's condition is better, Mella wants to go home to her uncle or aunt so that Mella can continue Mella's life" said Mella.

"Well if it's your decision, if there's anything you can call mom or come to mom's house. Our house is wide open." replied Della's mother sincerely.

After talking and giving a message to Mella, Della's mother finally said goodbye and left Mella alone.

Mella relaxes her body, she wants to rest so that her condition is better and back to health. Because he still needs energy to fight to continue the journey of his life.

In the afternoon, Mella was allowed to go home, because her condition was much better. Mella eagerly headed to the house of her uncle who is the younger brother of the father.

After arriving Mella immediately knocked on the door, but Mella had been waiting for a long time still no answer from inside the house.

At first glance, Mella sees her cousin in the house. But somehow he was reluctant to answer Mella's greetings let alone to open the door.

Mella sadly steps away from her uncle's house and occasionally looks back hoping that her uncle will come out and ask her to stay at his house.

But as far as Mella goes, no one cares about her fate. Mella walks towards her aunt's house which is the sister of her mother.

But again, Mella had to swallow the bitterness because the family did not want to accept Mella on the grounds they were afraid of being affected by the actions of her father.

Mella could only cry as she walked away from the house. He walked without direction or purpose.

Mella steps into the house where she was born and raised by her parents. A home full of warmth and happiness.

And also the house that became a silent witness to the tragic events experienced by his family. Mella stood on the porch of the house.

But Mella had not been able to go further, some of her neighbors came, berate maki even some with the heart to drive Mella from her own home.

None of them had any compassion for Mella. No one cares about his fate.

"God where should I go ?" inner Mella.

With some bruises on his body he walked to the common eater of the place where his family is today.

Mella sat down next to her father's belly button. Mella cries while hugging her father's tombstone. He was very desperate for the situation he was in.

Long Mella wept and poured all her heart out to her father. Until the night is getting late and no one wants to care about him.

Mella got up and walked towards a small building, where she kept a coffin and some equipment commonly used for funerals.

"Dad, tonight Mella had to sleep here. Mella had no other choice" Mella said with a very sad feeling.

If the father were still there, he would be asleep with the warmth of his family. But now he could only fall asleep while sitting leaning against the wall in a cold and silent feeling.

Mella fell asleep in a sitting position. The more the night the colder the bone. Even the mosquitoes were reluctant to see Mella fall asleep.

At such times, even the worms in Mella's stomach demonstrate demanding to be fed. In the silence of the night the voice of Mella's stomach was clearly heard.

"Oh my God, I am so hungry. But where can I find food in a place like this?." Mella's monologue.

Mella finally stood up and looked around. He hoped to find something he could eat to prop up his hungry stomach.

As far as the eye could see, none of the things Mella saw could she eat. His thirst and hunger made him venture to examine his surroundings hoping to find something.

"Oh God, what should I do ? let alone getting food just for drinking I don't find water." said Mella, still looking for something.

Until finally Mella found an object shaped like a teapot with a smaller size or precisely like Aladdin's lamp in a fairy tale.

Mella walks over to the object, picks it up and then cleans it with her hijab.

"If I live in a fairy tale, surely from this magic lamp will appear a genie who will grant my request" said Mella while cleaning the object in her hand.

Mella returned to her place. He sat back and leaned against the wall while waiting for the morning. Who knows with the coming of sunlight, there will come a miracle for him.

Mella notices the antique in her hand. He rubbed it to clean it again.

Soon, out came a thin smoke that over time formed a person's body.

"Who are you ? To please don't bother me, I'm I'm just hitchhiking to rest here." said Mella in great fear.

"You ask who I am ? I am the Jin who has been confined in that thing in your hand, "answered the shadow which became clearer and turned into a man.

"Jin ? haven't I slept yet ? then how can I dream?." asked Mella confusedly.

"Hi you're not dreaming ! it's real and I'm real too. And in exchange for your kindness has delivered me from the curse and confinement of hundreds of years. Then I will give you three wishes that I will grant." said the genie.

"Three requests ? Just like in Aladdin's story." answered Mella.

"Hi lady, this isn't about Aladdin but it's about us, yes about me and you. About this mortal world, not about the fairy tale of Aladdin and his magic lamp." replied the genie as he stepped and sat before Mella.
