Yoriichi vs Esdeath

"I suggest you take the help of your little subordinates in general." Yoriichi said disguising his voice by raising his voice. The wind whirled around him as he prepared for another battle, only this time against the strongest warrior in the country. “You are too weak to face me alone.” Yoriichi taunted the blue-haired woman who seemed to have no reaction but narrowed her eyes slightly towards him.

"We'll see." He replied while drawing his sword and pointing it at him. Yoriichi disappears from his place just in time to avoid an ice eruption from underneath. “Dia fast.” Esdeath thought to himself as he looked around for signs of the killer. 'Where is he.' he thought while trying to use his common sense to find him. The ground under his shift slightly warned him where 'Yoriichi' was. The strongest person in the empire leaped backwards just as a hand touched the ground in an attempt to grab his heel.

"I got you!" He shouted while grinning while sending the Ice great spear to the place where the hand was. To Seryu's surprise, the hand turned into molten rock and returned to earth. The sound of metal splitting the air reached his ears as several secret weapons flew towards him. Esdeath twisted his body in midair to dodge the attack only for his opponent to appear above him and kick him to the ground.

"captain!" Seryu shouted worriedly at the commander. His expression quickly turned into anger as he stared at the masked man who landed in front of them without a care for the world. "I'll make you pay!" He shouted furiously before the ice wall blocked his path.

"I told you not to interfere with this Seryu." Esdeath's voice reached his ears when he saw his leader once again standing up and ready for battle. The area where the masked man hit him was covered by a plate of cracked ice that was about to break apart. “I won't lose this fight. Trust me, Seryu.” She said.

"really touching." Yoriichi said in an almost mocking tone. Esdeath grinned as he looked towards 'Taiyo' who looked uninterested in the entire battle. 'I think I should fight them.' Yoriichi said to himself while covering up******** again.

Esdeath looked at him before charging in. Yoriichi ducked under the sweep of his sword before turning around to avoid the ice spear coming out from the ground towards him. Yoriichi kept pedaling back as more and more spikes came out of the ground but was too slow to catch him. "I got you." Esdeath said as a column of ice appeared beneath him, bringing him into the air. With a sweep of his hand, Esdeath sent a huge wave of ice towards him.

"Not bad." Said Yoriichi flames started to come out in his hands and use them to block the attack. "But not good enough." Yoriichi. He couldn't risk using his trench knife because he knew Esdeath had seen him use it in the past. Yoriichi fell towards the general as the fire blade approached him.

Esdeath managed to raise his own sword just in time to block Yoriichi's attack just for the fire blade cutting his own sword as if it was paper. His right shoulder began to bleed red through his clothes when Yoriichi's attack successfully injured him. His blood quickly froze on the wound that sealed him.

Yoriichi disappeared at high speed as a giant wave of spikes came towards him from the ground in front of Esdeath. Esdeath is smiling more than ever. Even though he had just been injured, it seemed like he was starting to have some fun. “You are a great fighter.” Esdeath said while forming an ice spear and using it to block Yoriichi's attack from the side. The emergency weapon was cracked due to Yoriichi's fiery slash.

"You're not so bad yourself." He praised as he raised his knee to smash his weapon before he kicked Esdeath faster than he could see. "But it took you a thousand years before you could match me." He said with false arrogance. He must at least act like a different person in order not to be caught.

"We'll see." Esdeath said while grinning at his opponent while putting his hand on the ground. Yoriichi's eyes widened slightly as the ground quickly began to freeze. "You can't dodge this one." Esdeath said confidently. Regardless of how strong he was, Esdeath was confident he could fight him.

"If I can't dodge then I'll stop him!" Yoriichi said as he jumped into the air and pulled his mask slightly. Yoriichi took out a wave of fire from his sword. Esdeath frowned slightly as the extreme heat of the molten rock melted the ice he formed. Knowing that he will not be able to survive Esdeath's attack.

"Weisschnabels!" Esdeath shouted as he put his hands together before creating some more ice that quickly shot towards Yoriichi. The samurai stopped his attack and replaced himself with a fire before it reached him. “How many abilities can one have?” Esdeath said in a strange excited tone as 'Taiyo' exchanged himself with a burning fire.

"More than you can count." His voice echoed right next to his ear. The general attacked with a kick just to hit the air. "It's time to take better action." Yoriichi said as he unleashed the power of Zanka no Tachi again. Esdeath had no idea what was happening but he knew that the battle was becoming increasingly difficult for him.

"I think I'd do the same." Esdeath responded as he dashed towards Yoriichi faster than ever. Yoriichi's eyes widened slightly as he managed to hit his stomach. The ice quickly wrapped around his body in less than a split second. Esdeath was about to destroy the frozen Yoriichi only for his ice to spontaneously turn into steam and burst out. “Other strengths.” He muttered but grinned and was excited as his opponent seemed to get stronger with each second as he revealed new strength.

“I guess you could say I'm a talented guy.” Yoriichi said as he walked out of the steam. He was grateful to have access to the release of 5 percent of the Zanka no Tachi fire. The sudden increase in speed on Esdeath's part left him a little surprised as he never expected Esdeath to be able to reach speeds that approached Akame.

Yoriichi turned his head to see his left arm being replaced by a new great weapon. "Eat this, demon!" He shouted while shooting a bullet at him. Yoriichi was too fast to even land a single strike as he escaped from his attack.

Yoriichi disappears from his sight before he appears right before him. Seryu inevitably took a step back when a slash of Yoriichi pointed to her side that let out a huge burst of fire in her arms.

"You monster!?" She screams as Yoriichi kicks the side of her head making her fall backwards. A dog like Teigu tries to help his master only for Yoriichi to jump on him. "Dead!" He screamed and shot at her while she was in the air. Yoriichi looked bored as he replaced himself with fire. "What!?" The former guard shouted before Yoriichi appeared.

"Take this!" Naruto shouted while slamming his heels into his stomach. None of his defenses were able to fight against my raw strength. Seryu screamed in pain as the insides of her body shattered due to the force of Yoriichi's attack.

"Ray!" Esdeath said as he frowned that he might lose another member of his team in one night. This would make their mission to defeat Night Raid even more difficult. The fact that whatever Taiyo and Tsuki's goals are aligned with Night Raid only makes things worse for them. He secretly cursed the Prime Minister for giving him a weak ally.

Yoriichi jumped away from that body. He could feel that he was still alive even though he was only alive. A wall of ice formed between the two of them.

His ice had no chance as Yoriichi's attack shattered the barrier. Esdeath tries to jump backwards to get away from Yoriichi only for him to appear underneath. His teeth grinned as a kick struck his jaw and made him fly deep into the air. "I'll finish you off!" 'Taiyo' shouted as he appeared behind him in the air. Bandages came out of his sleeves and wrapped around and directed the two down.

'He got me!' But Esdeath as gravity begins to pull them back to the ground. Yoriichi kicked the air and made them fall to the ground like bullets. His eyes widened as he stared at the incoming stone ground. A grin appeared on his face, ice spikes bursting out piercing Yoriichi's stomach.

Esdeath smirked at him before kicking the air in front of him. A huge surge of ice shot towards Naruto.

'Although this is fun, if I let it get too close to me again, I might die.' Esdeath thought to himself. Imagining being killed in battle was a thrilling one but at the same time he felt a sadness within him that he could not understand. Esdeath used his ice to lift himself deep into the air. With a wave of his hand he sent a wave of spikes towards him.

Yoriichi jumps at him only to face off against another large ice shard. But this one is bigger than the other and more like a meteor than an ice ball. Esdeath stepped aside from his attack and let it fall towards him. "One more time you impress me, Esdeath. I think I'll return the favor!" Yoriichi said as orange flames covered his body. “Let's see how to do it now.”

Esdeath's eyes widened as his biggest attack so far was obliterated completely with just a single blow. The ice crystal cloud split apart as Yoriichi came to him at a speed he could see. Esdeath wraps himself in an ice dome to protect himself from the masked killer just so he can break through. Yoriichi grabs Esdeath and throws him to the ground.

Esdeath turned his body and landed. Taiyo who was now shrouded in energy landed a few meters away from him. "This is the end of Esdeath!" Yoriichi said while attacking him.

"Mahapadma!" Esdeath shouted as everything around him stopped moving. The strongest person in the empire grinned before attacking the frozen assassin with another ice sword. "I won!" He shouted as he pointed his sword towards Yoriichi. Unfortunately, Yoriichi's mask covered her face so she could not see her grin.

"Ah, really?" Yoriichi's voice said from behind him. With that one sentence, everything around them returned to normal. "My energy comes from within me. Your previous ice did not evaporate because I created fire, it evaporated because the energy in my body was boiling quite hot. You can't freeze it and neither can I."

Esdeath knelt down slightly panting in front of him, Yoriichi stood looking at him. The blue haired woman slowly stood back up with a wide smile on her face. "Looky! Even with everything I threw at you and you're barely hurt." He yelled at her. He felt fine even though he had been beaten up very badly. No one had ever given him a fight like this, most of his fights had always been in his favor, but being defeated so badly was new to him. “Kill me. I am weak and deserve to die.” He told her to stay true to her philosophy.

"You're stupid." Yoriichi said to her. “Do you really believe that you deserve to die from weakness?” Yoriichi asked her as anger filled her voice. "You deserve to die for all the evil you've done to the man you call weak!" Yoriichi yells at him. "The strong must protect the weak, not make them suffer! They must bond with them and each other and work together, not as enemies"

Esdeath laughed, “Only the strong can survive and they decide who lives and dies. Strength beyond all ties.” He told her only to have Yoriichi clutch his neck. Esdeath was lifted so he looked straight into Yoriichi's eyes.

"How could anyone be so crazy!" Yoriichi yells at him. “If ties hinder me then I will never be as strong as I am. The only way to achieve true power is to work with others and have relationships with them.I've heard a saying, 'if you want to run fast, run for yourself,but if you want to run away run away with” He said to her while raising his neck, barely holding back his strength to choke her to death. It was then that his eyes saw a small book that was in one of his pockets.

The masked teenager's hand grabbed and grabbed the book. 'This can help us fight against the empire.' Yoriichi thought before opening the book. But his eyes widened as he read the context. Rather than expected, the little books contained pictures of her and notes on how to make her fall in love with him. Yoriichi turned his gaze away from the book and headed towards Esdeath. "How do you feel about this guy?" Yoriichi asked hoping to get at least some sort of redeeming response. Although Esdeath was bad, he was not the worst he had ever seen.

Esdeath was slightly surprised by the sudden question. “I don't fully understand.” He admits. It's not like what he felt before. Taiyo seemed to be considering his response.

"If I let you live then take his life in return. What are you gonna do?"

Esdeath's face lost its emotions for a moment before turning into a sharp gaze. "I'll kill you." He said simply. He did not understand why the idea that this man did not kill the object of affection in his place enraged him to such an extent. Thinking about it made him angry. Normally he would say that he deserved to die because he was weak but with Yoriichi, he could not say he would not feel anything if he died. If he betrayed the empire, he would kill him and order his subordinates to kill him if he proved too dangerous at one point. But it did not eliminate that in some parts of his mind he would grieve for her.

"I think he really appreciates someone." Yoriichi thought of almost laughing at how the person he saw seemed to be valued despite his weaker beliefs than his own.

Esdeath let this sink in. Even if Yoriichi knew it was a lie, Esdeath seemed to have been fooled by him. 'So I'm not too far from his level.' Esdeath thought to himself before he was dropped to the ground by the masked man.

"I feel your group approaching." Yoriichi said as he walked away. "The Separation of Generals"
