The Underwater Palace
Meet my Grandma's late

“Am I selfish?” ask to the Goddess.

“Egois anyway not, still we have to think about our future right,” said Dewi.

“I used to be the same. I'm even into smart people let them not choose me.” Connect Goddess.

“Then now?”

“I finally realized, my life will not end just because of this. This is a hereditary tradition. Who else are we?”

“Iya I also told Prince Suriyan, if I do not forget them. But now I refuse it,” I chuckle.

Long-term Goddess enlightened me until my heart was knocked to meet Atmajaya, I even thought she was not wrong why I had to stay away from her even though our nature is different she is still like a human, have feelings.

Without feeling the sky began to make up orange, I saw the Adzan began to echo me and Dewi was busy preparing the equipment to be used.

While abah began to roll out the carpet that was still rolled neatly. Everyone was busy for the 2-day event of my neneku's death.

This time the event will be held after the magrib prayer, after the magrib prayer I and Dewi prepare dishes for later use to put the serabi cake.

When everything was busy, I accidentally looked at the door of Grandma's room which was only closed with the old red curtains.

I faintly saw someone enter the room and strangely the person entered without opening the curtains but penetrating them.

Out of curiosity I approached Grandma's room and opened the curtains. I saw an old woman with long, gray hair, she was wearing a brown old kebaya, that stature was very similar to my grandmother. He sat on the edge of the old wooden bed with his back to me.

I slowly approached him. “Ni?”

“Nini is this?” say again.

Suddenly my nene turned towards me, her face pale but to me it was not scary at all.

He looked at me and smiled without saying a word.

“Maya? ... Maya.” I heard a voice calling.

“Iya Bah,” sahutku while looking at the door.

I turned back to the place where Grandma was sitting. But grandma had disappeared immediately I sat down.

'Why did grandma leave? I haven't even apologized, ' my inner self.

I went out of my grandmother's room and approached.

“Why Bah?” my many.

“Set this in front,” pinta abah.

I put together dishes filled with fried food and also cakes in the front room do not forget I put a glass containing cigarettes, some people have also started to arrive.

Yasin's books were arranged in the middle of the room. Until everyone has come and started the recitation of the surah yasin.

When I was in the kitchen I thought about what I was going through, the same thing I experienced when my late mother died. I often saw my mother still at home.

But the difference is that Grandma's face shows a smiling expression while mama is flat with no expression.

Reading the tahlil and the prayers were finished, me and Dewi began to distribute the red sugar-sweetened serabi cakes to the people who came.

Until the pickles were finished, Dewi and I were in charge of collecting dirty dishes, at that time I told the Goddess about what I saw.

“Goddess.”

“What?”

“I met nini,” I said.

“Hah? Where?”

“In his room earlier, nini smile to me,” I said.

“Maybe nini would like to say goodbye Yes to you. Because Nini died while I was working,” said Dewi.

“Iya is like that. But I haven't had time to apologize to Nini Dew,” I said.

“You often send a prayer for Nini, let her grave be laid and received all her charitable deeds with Allah.”

“Iya Goddess, but don't tell me abah ya.”

“It's quiet Yes.”
