The Underwater Palace

The Underwater Palace
My decision

(Close)

Ting!

A message came in, when I opened it was from Sarah's mother.

"Yes I heard everything" Sarah wrote in the message.

"Sound what does mbak mean?" my reply.

"What the man next to you said."

"Can't you see?"

"When I cast that spell I could see them."

"So I got the answer already."

"Yes thank you Aya, thankfully you came to see me" she replied.

"Sama-sama mbak, but actually this is not because of me. But it's been the way it is like this" I replied.

Sister Sarah just replied to my chat by sending a sticker.

I walked over to my brother who was sitting in front of the TV.

"Well, Aya it doesn't matter if you have to do the ritual of the temple like Abah," I said.

"Later think about it, until you sincerely accept it" said Abah.

"Yes sincere and has accepted it" I said.

"Are you sure? You do not force Aya, if you want to be free from this you will try to find a way," said Abah.

"Son Bah Aya is already convinced by this decision" I said.

I say goodbye to enter the room first to Abah, when in the room Atmajaya already sitting on my desk chair.

"You have accepted me" said Atmajaya.

"You know me better."

"Why did you change your mind?"

"The Goddess' speech the other day made me realize, it doesn't make my life end so why should I take a headache."

"And again I also do not want to forget this hereditary customary tradition," I said.

"That's why today I appear before you again" said Atmajaya.

"I told you you knew me. I want to go there," I said.

"Stay intent in your heart, focus your mind and ask permission of the Power."

I also tried what Atmajaya told me, with a moment I and Atmajaya were already in the river.

Atmajaya led me inside until I was in front of the palace.

"It's still daytime here" I said.

"We are not only different in nature, but also different in dimensions and time" said Atmajaya.

Me and Atmajaya walk into the palace decorated with gold, the palace looks more beautiful and shiny than the first time I came here.

I didn't even feel like I was in the water, there were a lot of fruitful trees and flowers blooming around the palace.

"Well before the tree did not exist" I said.

"The human heart will affect his vision, so enjoy it" said Atmajaya.

"There's more I know and you don't know the opposite."

I went in and met Prince Suriyan. It feels like I haven't seen and set foot in this palace in a very long time.

"Welcome back my son" Prince Suriyan welcomed.

"Finally you want to enter my palace again" he continued.

"Yes, it's been a long time" I said.

"Don't hesitate to visit my son."

"Good Prince," I said.

"There are things that I want to say, do not be forced to do with sincerity what has been determined. We are not asking for more than that nor will we be a bully like other successors think" he said.

"Come here as you please, the door of this palace is wide open for you."

"Thank you Prince. I'll remember the message from the Prince."

I said goodbye to Prince Suriyan, Atmajaya brought me back.

I opened my eyes and realized.

“Thank you for wanting to take me in there again,”.

“Sama-sama.”

Atmajaya left and I began to lay my body on the bed as it was almost late at night.

A few days passed Iyan enrolled me in a special pastry course of ordinance.

I feel very happy, there are a lot of new friends and new experiences that I have had, at home I began to learn to make various kinds of bread and cakes and many positive responses when the bread and cakes I shared with neighbors around.

My spirit grew stronger thanks to the spirit that I always gave to me.

Until finally I worked in a new store owned by bang Iyan and my position now is not a cashier anymore but as a pastry chief.

“That's all ready,” I said.

Abah saw that the clock on the wall of twilight also began to be seen, then told me to do it immediately.

I walked around the small board and sat on it. I patted the river 3 times.

“Asslamualaikum, Atmajaya I Maya Lukita bint Rahmad would like to give a offerings to you.”

I put the offerings and put them into the water, under there is already an Atmajaya who took my labuhan offerings.

The development of the times and the sophisticated technology, the, making many young people forget even leave their customs and prefer things that they think are trendy and cooler than having to continue the tradition of heredity from ancestors.

There are many perceptions about traditional rituals.

But despite all those perceptions, we should not forget our own customs and traditions.

Because out there the Indonesian people are famous for their customs, traditions and regional languages are very diverse.

The author is very pleased with the positive reaction and support you have given.

Because this is the first time the Author brings a novel that includes elements of customs, myths, and Banjar language, although not completely.

Once again thank you to all of you, greetings from me son of Borneo.
