THE WASTED WIFE

THE WASTED WIFE
OLIVER-MAXXIES

"Please sit. What are you meeting me, Mr Maxxie?", said Oliver, still unmoved from his great chair behind his desk.

Maxxie stared intently at Oliver with a hostile look. The thick black eyebrows belonging to the man also appear to be linked. "I'm not used to making small talk, Mr. Oliver. Stay away from Olivia and Asley, if you will only bring them suffering!", he said.

Hearing Maxxie's short words, Oliver leaned back and raised a sharpening glare also returned the gaze of the man standing up while putting both his hands into his pants pocket.

Smirk on Oliver's face.

"Heh..Who are you to dare tell me to stay away from my wife and son".

Maxxie further knitted his brows. "I'm not messing with my words, Mr. Oliver Asley Lucifer. I don't want an irresponsible man like yourself to hurt the people I care about so much!", said Maxxie as she unsheathed her gaze.

"Huhf".

Oliver took a breath. The man looked calm and ordinary. "Is that all you want to tell me? Are you sure you only love Olivia? Are you sure you don't love my wife, Mr Maxxie? Just say it frankly, just the two of us in this room!", Oliver said firmly as if challenging Maxxie.

For a moment, Max was silent. But both of his eyes were still sharp. Like a blade so sharp.

"For me Olivia is like my own sister. Ever since I found him in such appalling condition. I always wanted to protect Olivia. I know now you know everything. Asley is not my flesh and blood, but he is like my own son. So, I stress to you, never hurt Olivia and Asley because she is no longer alone in this world. I'm insisting on you, Mr. Oliver, I won't stay silent if you make Olivia cry again! You're that cam!"

Oliver looked at Maxxie. "You saved my wife. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Maybe my thanks are nothing compared to what you did to Oliv before, until you made her a strong woman like now, I say thank you. What you do cannot be measured by anything including even large amounts of money. But I will still return your money" said Oliver, taking a checkbook in his desk drawer.

"Unfortunately I will never obey you to stay away from the family I have been looking for all this time. They belong to me, Mr. Maxxie. Olivia is the woman I love, she will always be with me. So is my son Asley. I love them with all my heart. Now I'm just following Oliv's wishes, because I don't want to lose him. I'm gonna fix everything. I want to start over. I won't force a will, I'll wait for Olivia to open her heart again for me, and forgive all my mistakes".

Maxxie breathed. He could see the seriousness of Oliver's words. The face that previously looked unfriendly was gradually normal. Max sat down in front of Oliver. He was willing to do so, after hearing the earnestness of the man.

"I keep that promise, Oliver. Olivia is a very good woman, she deserves to be happy. You're so stupid you dumped her. Moreover, there is Asley among you", said Maxxie.

Oliver rested his back on the back of the chair. "Yes, I'm a fool. I was too late to realize my feelings. You don't have to worry, this time I'm very aware of my feelings. I'm not going to do stupidity a second time. Olivia was everything to me, plus she gave me Asley, my feelings deepened for Oliv".

Maxxie nodded her head, a faint smile adorning the corners of her lips. "I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure Olivia still loves you. Just so you know I offered her a couple of weddings, but she always said she wasn't ready to start again".

"All right.I'm going home now. I'm relieved to know how you feel about Olivia and Asley, Oliver. I will help you get your wife's love back" Maxxie said as she stood up from her seat.

"Thank you" Oliver replied standing up as he greeted Maxxie's hand with a warm smile.

"I don't need any payment. Just save your money" Maxxie said when he saw Oliver tear off a check.

"Oh yeah I forgot to ask, who was that woman you were with at that restaurant? Is he your lover now? Are you gonna hurt that woman too?". Maxxie stared intently at Oliver with a glance.

Oliver smiles. "Of course not. He's my sister Elara. It was because of that stubborn girl that I got to know my son" Oliver replied.

Maxxie smiled. "Oh so. It turns out you're brother and sister", Maxxie said covering up her shock. "I'm glad to hear that. Then excuse me Oliver" Maxxie said with a smile.
