THE WASTED WIFE

THE WASTED WIFE
RESPONSIBILITY AS A FATHER

The next day in New York City.

Elara had just finished cleaning her body and came out of the bathroom using only a white towel wrapped around her body.

The girl tied her hair with her head just above her head.

"Oh my God I need to hurry up, my student competition will be starting in the next hour. Huh I'm bad luck because last night Maxxie took me to his company first after dinner", muttered Ela half run towards the wardrobe in her room.

Ting tong's...

Ting tong's...

Ela frowned hearing the bell on the apartment door ringing. "Who came to my apartment this early? I don't have any promises with anyone", Inner Ela.

Ela picked up the clothes just as long as she did not even notice herself anymore when the bell at the door repeatedly rang. Ela hurried forward while putting on the random buttons.

"Dam. Not very impatient. Yes wait a minute!", cried Ela annoyed while opening the door handle without peeking first when heard again the sound of the bell.

Chequek..

"You're.." Both of Elara's eyes stared in disbelief as to who was standing at the door.

"Ela, you better come with me now. Something's going on with Asley".

"What's wrong with Asley? You just make me nervous, Max", cried Ela with round eyes looking at Maxxie who was standing at the door.

Spontaneous Ela tightened her loose shirt so as to know who came to see her.

"Claudia hurt Asley when Olivia took her to see Oliver. Your niece is currently in the hospital. My assistant Billy just told me", Maxxie looked at Elara who seemed shocked at the news that hit Asley.

Elara covered her mouth with her fingers. "How's Asley doing? O God protect the child", cried Ela seemed shocked to hear the news that was delivered by Max just now.

"We'd better get to the airport now Ela. You just postpone all your activities. My people will take care of it" Max said without thinking again immediately pulled Elara's hand.

"Max wait, I change clothes first. Not for five minutes" exclaimed Ela turning her body running into her room.

"Ohhh..."

Maxxie looked at Ela's back. He shook his head. Even he was not aware, Ela just wore a loose shirt like that.

"When it comes to Asley, I can't just listen and be quiet. Asley was like my own son. I'm not gonna let anyone hurt that kid" Max said to himself as he waited for Ela to change clothes.

"Oliver, why don't you let me take a health test with you. Can't we both be bone marrow donors to our kids?", olivia said while hugging Oliver's waist when Oliver wants to go to a special room for the family of patients who want to be a donor of spinal cord for their families who have been declared positive for cancer. If the procedure is ready, Oliver will donate spinal cord to his son today.

Asley has tested positive for stage one leukemia based on the results of tests conducted by Hillary's doctor yesterday.

"Because it's my turn now, give responsibility to Asley. You've been the best mother for Asley. I also want to give my responsibilities as a father to our son, Oliv".

Oliver's fingers framed Olivia's face. "I don't want you to feel pain after being a donor. Asley really needs you by his side. I don't want us both to get sick after all this Olivia. You better be with Asley, while I'm going through a series of health checks".

"I promise everything will be fine. I'm sure we can get through all this. So, calm down, hem" Oliver said gently right in front of Olivia.

The two clear netra Olivia glazed over hearing Oliver's words. For the first time the heavy burden he felt during his life could be shared with Oliver. His feelings are now so calm and peaceful.

Olivia tightened her embrace while nodding her head. "I'll calm down, Oli. I will always take care of our children. I'll be waiting for you and Asley here" Olivia said with trembling lips.

Oliver rinsed those cold lips. The two kissed affectionately as if releasing a deep longing.

"Ohhh..."

Ryan breathed his breath.

"You're so reckless Oli. You've only been cured for a year of the second stage of brain cancer you've suffered. Although you have been declared cured and can donate your spinal cord, but that does not mean there is no risk to your health, Oli".

"Your body will be sick again for a long time. You undergo a total anaesthetic that will make you again feel acute headaches like that time", said Ryan gave an explanation to Oliver who was ready to go into a special room and wear special clothes as well.

"I'll give everything to Asley my son, Ryan. Including my life if needed!"

"Olivia and my son have suffered too much because of this self. Now it's time for me to take a heavy load on Olivia's shoulders. I'm Asley's father. I'm not going to back off. This is my verdict Ryan".

"People who undergo bone marrow transplantation will be at greater risk of infection or other complications for months to years after the transplant is done, Oli. I'm worried about your condition. If Oliv knew your true state he would definitely be very sad–"

"You don't try to tell Olivia, Ryan! If you were in this position, of course you would do the same. Asley's my son, understand. I don't want him to feel long and prolonged pain, I want to do this immediately so that my son can get back to health and normal", Oliver said without any hesitation about his decision.

"You don't know how I feel right now Ryan. I'm very happy. I've never been this happy, being able to hug Olivia and Asley together" Oliver said heartily.

Ryan didn't budge. But he knew his friend was very different.

"As a father, I won't let my son feel his pain. Asley must heal and grow healthily. I won't forgive myself if my son's condition worsens. I'm asking you to do this treatment for my son's recovery".
