Max's car passed through the main gate towering high with unique carvings. He drove Elara home to Oliver's luxury mansion in downtown Houston. It's ten o'clock by now. Max stopped his car right in front of the mansion with the American classic nuanced off white.
"Thank you for driving me home, Max" said Elara staring at Maxxie who was behind the wheel. "Do you want to go inside?", asked Ela absurdly.
Max stared at the girl intensely. Ela blinked her eyelids.
"Don't misunderstand me. I'm offering you a cup of coffee, because I helped. You told me what happened to my family. You also gave me a plane ride yesterday. You were with me and Asley last night, too. I–"
"I'm happy to do it Ela, don't feel bad. Asley I consider myself my own son. I love that kid so much".
Elara took her breath. The girl lowered her head. "Yes, I know. You did it for my niece, because you love her" Ela replied slowly.
"Alright I'm down now–"
"I accept your offer. But not here. Tomorrow accompany me to lunch. I'll pick you up" said Maxxie staring fixedly at the pretty face of Elara.
"But tomorrow I have to go to the hospital to help Olivia take care of Asley, Max. I can't bear to see Oliv taking care of my brother and my nephew alone. Oliver where would if in the care of others. He must want Olivia to take care of him".
"Then I'll go to the hospital after I get home from the office".
Elara thought for a moment. Then a sweet smile graced her face. "Yes, I will wait for you there" said Elara. "You sure you don't want a cup of coffee now?"
"Yes I'm sure. If I accept your offer, I'm sure I won't be able to close my eyes tonight, Ela".
Ela smile. "Because I wasn't sure if there was another option at my sister's house, I offered you a coffee. Oliver's a caffeinated drink addict".
"I'm down now Max, see you tomorrow. Now it's night, you're carefully driving the car". Ela looked at Maxxie with a sweet smile. Then waved his hand at Max before stepping his foot into the mansion.
Max stared at the girl's back until it disappeared from his eyes. Max rests his head on the back of the chair.
"I think I like that girl. He looked innocent and kind", muttered Max back forward his car slowly leaving Oliver's residence with a difficult feeling to interpret. But the happy hue was clearly visible on that handsome face.

Next day..
"Mommy, when do we get back to New York? I miss my friends, mommy. What if I keep going like this, I won't meet my friend again?", asked Asley innocently.
Olivia rubbed gently on Asley's face. "Asley needs to be healthy first. It's better to meet your friend, you're cured. It's a pity that you don't have to be in bed like this anymore" replied Olivia smiling. He knew his son was already feeling bored just being in bed all day. Olivia and Elara were always with him.
"Your mommy's right, baby. Asley has to heal. To go to school again and meet your friends".
Ela gives Olivia a plate of fresh fruit for Asley.
"Ela...why did you ever see your watch? Do you have an appointment with someone?"
Elara looked towards the door of the room where Oliver and his assistant were talking at this moment.
Olivia followed Ela's eyes while frowning her forehead cluelessly.
"Geez, Ela, why did you reject her, baby. I'm doing fine. Don't you worry. Anyway, what I'm treating isn't a critical patient that needs special attention, Ela. You see, your brother can already work with Javier in the next room. Asley was fine as well" Olivia half exclaimed.
"Oliv.I beg you not to say anything to my sister. I don't want Oliver to misunderstand–"
"What do you mean Ela? What can't I know, huh?"
Elara widened her eyes to look at the older brother who was already among them. The girl was shocked.
"Tell me now, what I can't know!"
"Darling, you don't go so hard on Ela how your sister wants to tell you that you're like that" Olivia told Oliver, who stared intently at Elara.
"I don't want this girl lying to me anymore like she used to. Like when our dad put her in the dorm".
"Elara you're the only brother I have. So let me take care of you. You always stand on your own feet as if you don't need someone else's help. You showed yourself that you could step in without the help of others. No matter how strong you are, you are still a woman. I just don't want you to why Ela. So speak frankly to me from now on no secrets between us, hem".
"Just you, you lied to me. I don't want my only sister to feel pain alone and harbour pain alone because you still have me, your brother" Oliver stressed.
Elara couldn't hide her feelings for Oliver's words. He knew as an older brother Oliver always wanted to protect himself from anyone including their father who always forced his will.
Ela hugged Oliver's body, which was able to stand and walk without anyone's help. "I'm sorry brother. I know you've always been watching me. Love you".
Oliver took his breath. Her fingers gently rubbed on Ela's back. "You're getting older. Your age is getting older, there should be men looking after you, Ela–"
Chequek...
All eyes look at the door. "Sorry, I forgot to knock on the door. Looks like you guys are having a family discussion".
"Max, comein. Did you swipe at me and Asley?", asked Oliver to loosen his arms around Elara.
"Yes. But actually I picked up Ela. I'm taking her to dinner, Oli. I hope you don't mind", replied Max bluntly.
Olivia smiled hearing Maxxie speak for what she was like in front of Oliver. While Ela could not cover her flushed face. Ela looks nervous.
Oliver looked at his sister. "Is this what I shouldn't know, Ela? You want to cover from me?".
Oliver demanded the explanation of his sister standing in front of him staring at Maxxie.
"Of course I don't mind, Max. As long as Ela wants it. Most importantly for me you're serious about my sister, I won't ban her". Oliver to the points.
Elara did not budge from her place, Oliver's words seemed to describe that he and Maxxie had already talked about it.
"Sister.what do you mean?", exclaimed Elara glaring her eyes. She was so ashamed of Max. How can Oliver talk directly like that while he and Max have no relationship whatsoever. Yes, although actually Elara herself can not deny her feelings. He likes Maxxie. Moreover, the man was always kind and attentive to her. Any woman would want a man like Max. Including himself.
