The Winner Takes Everything
Tommy The Apathetic

Seeing Daisy's tired face with deep dark circles under her eyes, Sophie felt very depressed, "Daisy, I'm sorry I made it difficult for you. You must be exhausted."

Daisy was surprised, "No, Ms. Burton! I'm not exhausted at all. Not hard for me at all. Did I make a mistake? Please don't fire me."

She takes a monthly salary of ten thousand from Jack to take care of Sophie. It was a tough job, but much better than working with heavy metals and bricks on a construction site.

However, Sophie's words made her feel like she was about to be fired

She doesn't know Sophie isn't new to hard times. She has worked hard to raise Jack herself and knows how exhausting those tough days can be.

Sophie says this because she can see the fatigue in Daisy's eyes and can really feel how hard it was for her.

However, Daisy's reply suddenly made her smile, "Daisy, you misunderstood. I just think you're working really hard. I didn't mean to fire you. I'm used to hardships and difficulties.

You're about the same age as my son. My heart breaks to see you so tired."

She was afraid Daisy would think too much, so she explained again, "You did everything well. I like you a lot.

How can I fire you? The only thing you can't do well is give yourself a break."

Daisy's eyes are red. She lowered her head on the side of the bed unhappily and sobbed uncontrollably, "Ms. Burton! You scared me to death. I don't think you need me anymore. This job is very important to me."

Sophie smiled kindly, looking at Daisy with her deep eyes.

He gently patted Daisy on the shoulder and said softly, "Daisy, my son, how could I lose you. Why didn't you call my son? I'll ask her to come here to stay with me for one night.

Then you can go home and sleep well."

Daisy shuddered a little. He lifted his head and wiped his tears, "Ms. Burton, he's very busy. He hired me to take care of you. How can I call him to come here while I go home and sleep?"

"Okay, but listen to me. You should sleep well tonight. Don't run as soon as I move a little."

Seeing Daisy trying to argue back, he solemnly continued, "Oh! you're a beautiful boy, look at you. You already have a dark circle.

Who would marry a girl with dark circles? You have to take care of yourself"

Daisy stunned. His eyes became red with tears.

Sophie's words felt like a warm spring breeze in her withered and frozen heart.

It had been a very long time since he had heard such words of care and attention.

The next second, Daisy cried while hugging

sophie, sophie,

"Thank you, Ms. Burton. Thank you." Thank you."

In another ward, Elissa was bedridden with a pale face.

He stared at the ceiling desperately with tears falling down.

At the engagement party, she was so angry that she had a heart attack. Fortunately, he was rescued in time

Kieran sat quietly by the bed, peeling off an apple. He handed her a piece, "Do you want to?"

Elissa shook her head and continued to cry.

She cares a lot about her face, so she arranges an incredible engagement party for Tommy and Shirley.

However, the scene at the engagement party made her lose face like she was smashed to pieces in front of her friends and relatives.

It made her feel like dying was even better than living.

However, Tommy sat down while playing Arena of Valor on his phone the entire time. He completely ignored Elissa and Kieran, and even shouted loudly at the game from time to time.

"Come on, come on now!" Tommy suddenly shouted loudly on the phone.

Kieran frowned and scolded her, "Tommy, lower your voice in the hospital! You said you came here to take care of your mother. Is this what you're doing?"

"I know I know!" Tommy said impatiently as he stared at the phone screen, "If I don't come here to look after him, could it be that I go home and play games?"

Kieran took a deep breath, trying to swallow his anger.

During the day, Katherine opened the door with a flask in her hand.

Seeing Tommy playing games on his phone, his face sank, "Tommy, you're playing games instead of taking care of Mom. How old are you?"

Tommy looked down, about to answer.

However, before he could answer, Elissa stopped crying and suddenly exploded.

He pointed at Katherine and scolded, "Do you still have the right to talk to your brother like that? You ruined her engagement party and humiliated our family in front of the world. Do you have the right to ask her how old she is?"

Stunned, Katherine looked at Elissa blankly.

"Mom, I've actually talked to Shirley about the engagement party!" Katherine felt very hurt.

The engagement party has really humiliated the Parry family. He had explained himself many times these past few days after facing a mistake from Elissa.

"You're still lying to me!"

Elissa let out a heavy sigh and said angrily, "Shirley comes from a good family. Did you really say that she deliberately pretended to make a mess at the engagement party?"

"Katherine, what do you mean?" Tommy was also nervous and immediately stood up. "I know what kind of person Shirley is.

So I knew he would never do such a thing."

Katherine trembled with tears as she felt she had been seriously persecuted

He cried as he said, "Why don't you believe me?

Mom, who's your real daughter?"

Elissa's face flushed red as she raised her hand to cover her chest, "When I encounter a problem, I focus on the facts and am not biased towards certain people. You are my daughter, and Shirley is my daughter-in-law. She is going to marry my son. Do you still want to try to argue with me?"

"I'm.." Katherine wants to talk.

Kieran stomped his leg as he said, "Enough Katherine, or do you want to piss off your mother for another heart attack?"

Hearing this, Katherine stopped arguing.

"Mom, rest. I'm going to work now" Katherine put down the flask, turned around and ran out while covering her eyes.

"worked? Little income. Far is not enough. I'm yourmother. I'm staying in the hospital now. You don't even seem to care a little?"

Elissa shouted loudly as she saw Katherine leave.

After she heard this, Katherine completely fainted.

He passed through the corridor and ran to the stairs. He then could not help crying.

"Why am I to blame? What was my mistake? Why do I have to endure all this myself?"

In doing so, he released all the emotions he was experiencing today.
