Jack Pick up Amber

Ding!

"It's still here" replied Amber,

"I came to pick you up" Jack felt very guilty as he picked up his coat and rushed to the airport.

There's a lot of people there.

Amber wore a sunhat, a long white dress, and sneakers, sitting in a corner.

She looked very simple, but she still attracted everyone's attention because she was so beautiful.

"It's still the same as it used to be, workaholic," complained Amber a little.

Jack, Katherine, and him are college friends, and he knows a lot about Jack and his family.

After graduation, in order to marry Katherine, Jack went workaholic.

He looked through the window and saw a gray sky outside.

Amber replied with a bit of sadness, "It's going to rain."

When he sent that message to Jack half an hour ago, he had already landed.

He got no reply from her, and she didn't leave.

After three years of separation, the first person she wanted to meet was Jack.

He wanted to restart their relationship at this airport.

But as he sees it, Jack is so workaholic that he forgets their promise.

After his brief complaint, Amber took a deep breath, and showed a joyful smile.

When Jack finally arrived at the airport, another 40 minutes passed.

The sky is so dark. Raining cats and dogs.

When Jack ran to the airport soaking wet, he found Amber sitting in a corner bored.

After being separated for three years, Amber is still as charming as ever, but now looks a little more mature.

"Amber, sorry. I'm late" said Jack, feeling guilty.

When Amber saw Jack, with a grin on his face, she stood up and hugged him tightly. He doesn't mind her getting soaked.

"Hey workaholic, it's been a long time!"

"Hey, hey, you're gonna get wet."

Jack shouted, and tried to push him away.

Amber let go and said, "No problem. I don't even mind."

Jack was speechless as he picked up two large suitcases and said, "Let's go. I've ordered a table. You must be hungry."

Amber said with her hands pressed against her stomach, "I starve to death."

Jack laughed and left the airport with Amber.

"By the way, it's raining so hard. Why not bring an umbrella?" Ambar asked,

"go in a hurry and forget to take one" Jack said.

Amber frowned, "What if you catch a cold? Still don't know how to take care of yourself."

Jack laughing. But he did not realize that Amber spoke in a different way

They left the airport.

Due to the heavy rain, the parking lot was empty.

"Where's the car?" Amber asked in confusion.

"It's raining too hard, so some airlines will be delayed and taxis may have left with their last guests."

Feeling a bit awkward, he rushed to forget to tell the driver to wait for him.

Amber was surprised, "No, I mean, where's your car?"

Jack said, “I never bought a car”

Amber lowered her head in disappointment, but then she suddenly raised her head again with a smile, and flicked her finger, "Don't worry. I'll find a way."

After saying that, he ran into the rain.

"Amber, come back here. How about you catch a cold!" shouting Jack.

"It's okay. At worst, we can share the cure" Ambar replied.

Jack stunned. She was still the young girl she was before.

But he was also curious. He hasn't been back for three years. What idea could he have?

20 Minutes later, a Porsche 911 approached them and stopped in front of Jack.

Jack stunned. He saw Amber sitting in a drenched car.

He laughed, "Get in the car. Let's go home."

"Where did you get this car?" Jack was shocked when he put his luggage in the trunk.

Amber said as she pointed out the window, "When I left three years ago, they were building a car sales service store there. I just went there and bought this."

He bought a Porsche 911!

Real easy?

Jack involuntarily put his hand in his pocket as he recalled his Bauhinia bank card

Why not think about this?

They arrive at the Vigny restaurant where Jack ate western food for the first time many years ago. It was Amber's treat back then.

Also, they used to hang out with Katherine and her friends here when they were in college.

Before Amber went abroad 3 years ago, she also arranged her farewell party at this restaurant.

This restaurant means a lot to them.

"Workaholic, I didn't expect you to still remember this place."

Amber said in surprise as she flicked her wet hair and stared at the glittering door of the restaurant with deep eyes.

"How could I forget?" Jack said with a bitter smile.

But Amber scrunched her nose as she said, "You smell too much. Now you are the deputy general manager of a DT real estate agent. I'm back so far, while you take me to a restaurant like that?"

For the past 3 years, Amber has always worried about Jack and Katherine, even though she is overseas.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent a message to Jack when he divorced Katherine.

In his view, Jack was outstanding as he became Deputy General Manager of DT after 3 years of graduation.

And that was probably the best he could do with his background

"Then which restaurant did you choose? Up yours. I'm the one who deals," said Jack with a gentle smile.

"yeah. It's fine." Amber said with a frown as she got out of the car.

He knows Jack enjoys a high salary as deputy general manager, but most of it is spent on Katherine and her mother's hospital expenses. So he didn't want to trouble her.

Getting out of the car soaked, they just walked into the restaurant while they caught the attention of all the visitors.

They sat down and ordered food. Soon their dishes were served.

They eat and talk with fun. But neither of them mentioned Katherine.

Amber does not want to disappoint Jack, and Jack does not want to affect Amber's mood.

Amber smiled and blinked her eyes, "By the way, I've wanted to find a job since I got back. Will you hire me to work for your company, Jack?"

Jack was surprised with a bitter smile, "Oh, honey, are you really sick?"

"You're sick with an unclear mind, Amber rolled her eyes. They used to chat in jest like this when they were at university.

Jack sighed intentionally, "Alright. You are a beautiful and rich girl. Why are you considering working so fast because you just got back?"

He basically knows a little about the Amber family.

Isn't that a joke for the typical rich beautiful woman to work for in a DT real estate agent?
