Katherine Felt Betrayed

"Nothing, you bought too many things!" Jack forced a smile and took most of it to the hospital.

Amber lifted the two bags of fruit behind her and said frantically, "Jack, wait for me. Let's go in together."

In the ward, Sophie was chatting happily with Daisy.

Well taken care of by Daisy, Sophie seems to heal faster with reddish cheeks.

Sophie likes Daisy like her own daughter.

Daisy feels that way, so she takes care of Sophie with all her heart.

Jack opened the door and saw them chatting happily.

"Mr Hughes," Daisy immediately stood up and helped Jack carry the items he was carrying.

"Jack, why are you buying so many things?" Sophie's confused.

Over the years, he has lived a difficult life. Even after Jack became rich, he did not enjoy anything due to his illness.

He felt a bit sad because Jack bought so many things.

"My friend bought it" Jack smiled and turned to Amber.

Amber walked in and glanced at Jack.

She smiled, "Hello Ms. Burton, I'm Amber Knight, Jack's friend"

"Hello." Sophie smiled sweetly. But as he looked at Jack, his face changed, "Jack, why don't you help Miss Knight with her things?"

She had just put the fruits into Jack's hands before walking towards Sophie with a smile, "Ms. Burton, you're so good."

Sophie beamed and felt that Amber was somehow familiar, "Miss Knight, have I seen you somewhere?"

Jack put the fruits down and wanted to explain when Amber suddenly said, "No, this is the first time."

Jack looked at Amber in surprise.

While he was at university, Amber met his mother many times. She was even the bridesmaid for her wedding 3 years ago.

Sophie cannot remember Amber because she is old and they have not seen each other for 3 years.

He even took an apple from Daisy and peeled it for Sophie.

Jack mentioned about leaving the hospital first.

Amber nodded and smiled at Sophie, "Ms. Burton, you'll be well soon. See you soon."

Sophie nodded and said, "Jack, it's late. Get Miss Knight home."

After leaving with Amber, Jack finally asked, "By the way, why didn't you tell my mom that you were my old schoolmate and bridesmaid?"

"Are you an idiot?" Amber rolled her eyes, "How can I make Ms. Burton is nervous about his current condition? If I were to admit that I was your schoolmate and bridesmaid, wouldn't that make her remember the past about you and Katherine?"

Jack is stunned

If Amber hadn't reminded him, he wouldn't have thought about it.

Before he regained consciousness, Amber asked a strange question.

"Oh yeah, you haven't told me... Who's the girl who took care of Ms. Burton's?"

Jack raised his eyebrows, "That's Daisy, the housekeeper I hired for my mother."

"She's really a housekeeper?" Amber asked with sharp eyes, "Then why do I feel Ms. Burton treated him very well? Just got Ms. Burton spoke to him more than me."

But she kept explaining, "Maybe because she took good care of my mother. He's pathetic anyway. My mother must have known the problem."

Katherine looked at Amber blankly.

Katherine stepped up to Amber and Jack, and asked Amber, "When are you back? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Katherine, I just got back yesterday" said Amber.

"Catherine ... Amber said with a dark face, "You are my friend. So does Jack. After I got home, I had to visit Sophie first. That's normal, right?"

Katherine felt aggrieved with red eyes, but still gritted her teeth and stubbornly raised her head, "I'm your friend. Because of me, you can be friends with Jack."
