Chapters 13. The Imperfect Punishment

The sunlight slowly faded along with the appearance of the evening wind that blew very hard. After descending the misty mountain, Rodney and his guild planned to take a short break amidst the dense jungle.

"We're going to rest here for a while" Rodney said, laying on the green grass.

"Huuuh." Silvia also broke her body.

"Siluva, Zeta, Iris ... You rest, I will watch the surroundings." Rei said confidently.

Hearing that remark, Silvia became furious. He then straightened his body as he approached Rei with a pouting face. The man was confused after finding Silvia closing her face.

"What's siluva?" ask Rei.

"Sil .. vi .. a!" The girl was annoyed to find Rei's innocence unaware of the mistake in saying his name.

"Well, fine, Silvia," Rei said with a smile after realizing his mistake.

The girls were stunned after seeing a smile that was clearly plastered on the handsome man's face. Silvia is no exception. His grin of his face slowly faded. His cheeks were flushed red as if amazed by the smile he had never seen.

"Already Silvia, don't disturb Rei!" Zeta rebukes Silvia for her disrespectful actions towards Rei.

"Hmm!!!" The girl suddenly turned her face towards another while pouting.

Zeta looked at Rei with seriousness. He wondered in the depths of his heart what the strength of the man was.

"They? is something wrong with me?" asked Rei who found Zeta looking at him with a sharp look.

"Oh .. sorry!" said the long black-haired girl and the bangs that covered her entire forehead.

Iris, who felt her existence was not noticed, hugged Rei from behind. The action made his two sisters surprised instead of playing as if they did not expect if Iris had the courage to manifest her feelings for Rei.

"B-well! huftt .. I'm Felicia, a servant who has served Mr. Rei," Felicia said, bowing like a servant.

"Reey!!! how many women do you know!" Silvia becomes enraged - instead of jealous of Rei after learning the man has many acquaintances of a woman other than herself and her sister.

"Women? you mean Jessica and Rebecca?" said Felicia with a plain face that further complicates the situation.

"Huh?! Jesica, Rebecca? who're they?" Silvia was getting angry as she looked up.

"They are my family" Rei said calmly.

The girls were surprised not to play. Zeta who from the beginning had feelings for Rei did not expect that the man had a family.

Zeta couldn't accept that fact. In an instant he threw his body on the ground instead of fainting.

"Rome! ... Zeta!!!" cheers Iris who found Zeta unconscious.

"Hey ... hey! you girls always tease Rei!" Rodney woke up from his sleep after hearing the commotion.

"Felicia, please give the correct explanation after this!" firmly Rei.

"B-good Sir!" Felicia bent her body repeatedly.

After going through various misunderstandings, they prepared to return to continue their journey towards the city of Raven. Felicia who was not in the guild also followed their journey while stepping behind Rei.

Upon arriving at the city gate, Rei saw a commotion from a group of people fighting each other. He finds Phillip strangled.

"How dare you!" said a man who had faced Rei before.

Philip then felt relieved after being detached from the man's grasp. He was terrified when he learned that his face was covered with blood spurting from the man's hand. He tried to get away from the man with a scratch on his face.

"who did this?" ask one of them while observing the people around him.

"Kuji!!! quickly find the culprit!!!" exclaimed the man with the severed hand.

They spontaneously pulled Phillip's body while pointing at him with a knife. He threatened to kill her if she didn't show him.

"Come out!!! show yourself!!!" cheers Khuji.

Rei again raised a hand after hearing the challenge. With lightning fast, he pointed the hand towards Khuji which caused his neck to be severed.

Phillip was unaware of what was happening behind him. The headless body was also covered in blood. Everyone who found the head piece ran in fear while screaming hysterically.

"Hurry up!!! run!!!" The man called out to his comrades while running as far away as possible regardless of the blood that continued to gush from his hands.

Rodney and his guild were shocked by the incident. The gripping atmosphere had haunted their existence.

"Zeta, I'm scared ...." Iris hugged Zeta's waist in fear.

"Calm down, there's nothing to be afraid of." Felicia tried to calm down the girls who were struck by fear.

Rei immediately left after finding a group of royal troops flocking to the scene. With complete calm, he passed through the troops while rushing towards the adventurer guild building. Felicia, Rodney and his guild also followed Rei.

"Rei, I admit your actions are right, but at least, don't be too brutal," Rodney scolded as he walked beside Rei.

The man ignored Rodney's words. He kept his eyes sharp towards the front. Even so, Rei was still able to master his emotions. He hoped that the men would get more cruel punishment than before.
