Gathering

Upon arriving home, he immediately went back to the Sohoo Hotel.

In the middle of the trip, Ali did not see a car traveling at high speed and violated traffic rules.

Brakes.

Without even dodging, the car crashed into Ali. However, thanks to his overwhelming strength, Ali was only bounced away by the impact without sustaining any serious injuries.

The people around who witnessed the incident were shocked and shouted, then rushed to Ali to check on him. Ali got up from where he was encouraged and calmed them down, telling them that he was fine.

Wiping the dust off his clothes, Ali looked at the car that hit him. Ali saw the driver of the car who looked surprised and panicked. He saw an anxious expression on the driver's old face.

The driver came out, approached Ali. "I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry." Said the old man, worried.

Before long Ali heard the sound of crying babies coming from inside the car.

Without hesitation, Ali approached the damaged car on the front. He saw a mother sitting in the driver's side seat, looking very frightened, and a small baby in her cradle.

"The baby's in trouble!" Ali heard something affecting the baby's breath, like something closed. That's what caused him to cry.

Hearing that, the driver confirmed, "since this morning he cried nonstop, I knew something was wrong, that's why I rushed to the hospital."

"I'll help!" Said Ali.

Ali immediately carried the baby. Like trying to put him to sleep but in a prone position. Ali patted slowly the small, fragile back.

The baby spewed out something whitish yellow, it looked like it was porridge. Then Ali held him for a while, and then put him back in his mother's arms.

"Now it's okay." Said Ali, trying to strengthen the mother who was worried about her child.

"Son, thank you for your help."

"No problem, next time you have to make sure that what your little one eats can be swallowed perfectly." Ali explained.

"How did you know that my granddaughter was choking?" Ask the driver. "Oh, forgive my disrespect. My name is Heru, Heru Suherman."

"I'm Ali."

"Son, let's get you to the hospital, I'll take you." Said Heru so aware Ali's clothes were torn in some parts. He thought that the injury suffered by Ali was very severe.

"Thank you, Mr. Heru, but I'm fine."

"No son, I won't calm down if you refuse him. Please help this old man."

Hearing his words, Ali felt bad if he had to leave just like that. He did not question this accident, he understood all the events that happened to him, even he was sure not to need treatment on his body. He feels fine.

"Alright, Mr. Heru, but I will drive." Ali saw a great tremor in Heru's hand, must have been traumatized from hitting someone.

When Ali received news of his good condition, he felt grateful and relieved. He was grateful to the medical team who treated him well.

"Son Ali, how are you?" Heru asked as soon as he saw Ali coming out of the examination room.

"I'm fine Mr. Heru." Ali replied calmly, "I didn't think you were a doctor." His words saw Heru wearing a white suit, as well as an identification mark.

"I feel ashamed if Nak Ali calls me a doctor, because Nak Ali is a better doctor."

"I'm not a doctor, Doctor Heru!"

"Well, how did Nak Ali know that my granddaughter was choking?" Ask Heru curiously.

"I can't explain it, but I just heard the child's breath was abnormal." Reply Ali.

Heru and Ali sat in the hospital waiting room, talking about their daily lives. They exchanged stories, Ali told about his unemployment for four years, while Heru told about his experience as a doctor. Very contrasting, but their conversation melted.

However, suddenly, a nurse called out Heru's name in a hasty voice. The nurse's face looked anxious, and Ali and Heru soon realized that there was an emergency that required Heru's attention.

Heru stood up quickly and looked at Ali with a concerned expression. "I'm sorry, Son Ali. There seems to be an emergency. I hope you understand."

"No problem, Mr. Heru."

"This is my business card, please contact me immediately if there is anything I can help, I owe one life to Nak Ali."

After receiving the business card, Ali kept it, and intended to leave the hospital.

Ali walked out the hospital door with long steps. As he stepped onto the crowded sidewalk, unwittingly, his shoulders nudged the body of an old woman carrying a small bag filled with medicine bottles.

It was like it happened in an instant. The medicine bottles fell to the ground with a crackling sound, and the contents of the medicine scattered all around. Ali was shocked, and his face looked clumsy. He quickly took a deep breath to control himself before stepping closer to the woman he had hit.

Damn Ali today. Already hit by a car, now hit people, later? I don't know.

As he leaned over and started collecting the scattered medicines, his eyes widened as he looked at the old woman's face. And in an instant, the familiar look of his face made his heart beat faster. It was his mother, whom he had not seen in four years. A feeling of shame, fear mixed in his chest. He was about to leave, but too late, the old woman had already seen his face.

"Origin?" The old woman said.

They looked at each other, and in that instant time seemed to stop. Tears began to bathe Ali's mother's eyes, while Ali's facial features revealed confusion and shock. However, the feeling of knowing each other was indisputable in their gazes.

Without hesitation, Ali's mother immediately reached into Ali's body tightly and hugged him. The embrace was full of long-awaited warmth and affection. Ali, who was still surprised by her mother's reaction, finally returned the hug clumsily. He felt an unspeakable relief and happiness in that embrace.

The two of them might not be aware of the crowd gathered around them, stunned by this emotion-filled moment. There were no words spoken at first, only happy cries that broke out between them. Ali's mother's tears reflected long-buried longing and happiness, while Ali shed all of her unexpressed feelings during these four years. Four years of Ali's failure.

After a while, the two of them tried to ease their cries. In disjointed words, they began to speak.
