Xin'er's refusal

Xiang's military forces, under the leadership of the Qianfeng Warlord, rushed towards the border that was used as a battleground. The soldiers, mostly elite troops as well as the cavalry, carried their weapons to help Xili's forces bravely. Although they numbered no more than five thousand soldiers, but all of them were trained soldiers who were quite formidable.

Qianfeng who was running with his horse in front of them immediately raised the flag up high. His goal was to tell his troops that the war this time was not easy. They had to fight an enemy that could possibly number many times over them. But it seemed, the Qianfeng army had never been afraid of death. As long as they can kill the enemy, their hearts are very happy.

There is a satisfaction when killing enemies on the battlefield. For a soldier, war becomes their staple food.

Xin'er entrusted her son to Yuelie and Mengshu to take him home to Xili after they drove him to Yongsheon City. They rushed back following the Qianfeng troops who had already left for the battlefield to help Zhaoling who was fighting alone.

Xin'er, Liu Wei, and Yu Xuan each used their horses to chase after the Qianfeng troops. Arriving there, they saw many soldiers from both sides who had been killed with terrible conditions. Xin'er's heart was pounding when she did not find Zhaoling in her army.

On the troop business, he doesn't care. As long as he could kill Zhaoling and Qianfeng, then his army would definitely submit under Zhaohan's rule. But, a minute later he was made shocked by the arrival of three more people who were helping Zhaoling namely, the two shadow bodyguards and Xin'er.

Zhaohan smiled wryly when she saw Xin'er jump off her horse, then immediately hugged Zhaoling. His heart was hot to see the affection the couple showed, as well as Jihu who felt the same way as Zhaohan felt.

Xin'er jumped down from her horse and directly hit Zhaoling's body. "Aling, you're worrying me!" he said while crying.

"I'm sorry, Xin'er! I didn't keep my promise to you" she said, hugging her tightly.

Xin'er shook her head. He knew that Zhaoling had a good reason for not returning. "Aling, are you okay?" the golden countenance was clearly visible from Xin'er. She continued to wipe the handsome face of her husband who had bruised wounds from the blows given by Master Luo and Teacher Jin.

"No! Don't you worry about me, Xin'er! What about our son?" ask Zhaoling back.

"He's fine. Now, he's in a safe place. He's handsome like you," Xin'er's words instantly made Zhaoling shocked. Xin'er knew that her husband was asking for more explanation from her, and she smiled. "But he will be a strong man like his father,"

Liu Wei, Yu Xuan, and Qianfeng patted Zhaoling on the shoulder to make him aware that the enemy was still there and waiting to be finished off. "Our happiness is incomplete if we have not finished them all!" he said while pointing forward.

The man immediately turned his gaze forward after slightly turning towards his three friends. "You're right! All right, we'll kill those traitors first!" zhaoling said in a cold tone.

A terrifying aura instantly burst out from his body. Following his three companions, Zhaoling pointed the sword at the enemy before him. "Be prepared!"

Qianfeng, Liu Wei, and Yu Xuan replied in unison. "Ready!"

After they disarmed, the four prepared to attack the enemy before him. So did Xin'er who was ready with a sword in her hand. Although Zhaoling said not to fight, but he wanted to help quell the traitors.

Just as they were ready to attack, the pearl netra Xin'er glanced at one of the men she was very familiar with. The man who once saved his life from danger and death. The man who always guided her to become a strong woman. He was Khong Jihu, the first son of Mr. Khong Guan, Xin'er's adoptive father.

"Why?" a question that Xin'er pointed out to Jihu made everyone turn their heads. He continued, "I know you must be angry! But, I don't know if you're alive and out of the woods looking for me. I'm really sorry, Brother Jihu!" xin'er said with regret.

Jihu looked at the bowed Xin'er while crying. Actually he could not bear to see the woman he loved shed tears due to his actions. After all, he kept his life just to look for the woman. They should have embraced each other to treat the longing, instead of making her feel guilty. Now Jihu hesitates, either supporting Zhaohan to kill Zhaoling, or hugging his beloved adopted sister.

Slowly he approached Xin'er, "you betrayed my trust! There's nothing I should care about anymore" he said.

Although very slow, Xin'er heard what her foster brother said. His face looked up at the man in front of him. He did not expect that his foster brother would feel unfairly treated like that. Though, what harm would it do if Xin'er returned to her husband? Isn't that what he used to expect - Xin'er's happiness? But now, Jihu's words seemed like a man who was left cheating on his lover. But, the four men beside him clearly understood with Jihu's attitude and words, that this man was jealous. "You forgot me, Yoona! You're not trying to find my whereabouts" Jihu shouted.

Xin'er explained to him, that she and her husband and her two shadow bodyguards had been trying to search even the area near the forbidden forest. However, there was no sign of anyone's life there. Zhaoling advanced slightly, touching Xin'er's shoulder. "Dear,"

Xin'er turned her head while smiling warmly towards her husband. "I'm sorry, brother! I have a husband and now I have a son, too,"
