The magnitude of hate

A week has passed. Zhaoling never returned to the Palace, and it convinced everyone that he was a traitor. In fact, the attack on his troops that resulted in the death of General Hui, has spread widely.

Now, Commander Xili was designated as a traitor to the State for protecting criminals who troubled the Nobles. But, it has been a week there is no news of robbery everywhere, so they were a little relieved.

This situation was exploited by others to get Zhaoling expelled from the Palace for good. Although his status is higher because he is the Son of the Empress, it does not rule out the possibility that his title as Prince is threatened to disappear.

If Zhaoling does not appear in less than a month, then the Royal Court decides he will remove his Prince's title and he is not given the opportunity to become the Crown Prince who will replace the position of the next Emperor.

The Empress and the Queen Mother try to track down Zhaoling's whereabouts, as only they care about her. However, unbeknownst to everyone, the Emperor acted first and sent an army to find where Zhaoling was.

But, there was another group of troops joining in and moving about without even realizing them. The troop had a red-colored token, which symbolized that they were emissaries from the Prince's Palace.

Yep. The army was sent by the First Prince to search for Zhaoling's whereabouts. He did not want the Third Prince to come back and prove his innocence. If that happens, then the plan that has been prepared is threatened to fail.

Zhaohan wants to be the next successor to the throne. Aided by the support of Zhaoyan and Zhaokang, he grew more confident. Both of his younger siblings supported him to ascend the throne, and he also had the full support of his mother, Consort Wang Xiumeng.

Consort Wang was the Emperor's favorite concubine other than the Empress. He also had considerable power in the Palace section, as well as having quite a following. Consort Wang desperately wanted her son to ascend the throne to succeed the Emperor, but the successor to the throne was already determined by the Emperor and the Queen Mother. That, only the son of the Empress could succeed him as Emperor. It was a hereditary rule from the previous Emperor and was obligatory to obey until the next generation.

Yoona recounts how painful it was to live inside the Palace, as well as the reason her father never agreed to be a member of the Royal family. At first, Yoona does not understand and assumes that everyone will behave like a family. But apparently, they are not that easy in thinking. Competition that puts them in danger, even to the point of harm.

"I hate him, brother. He made me have to part with the people I love. He pulled me into a circle of death that slowly sucked my soul to dust" his great-grandson as he wiped the puddles of tears that kept flooding in.

The woman hustled in Jihu's arms, shedding a grievance that she could not speak to her father and brother before they left Yoona for good.

Meanwhile, a man stood behind a tree not far from them with a bow full of regret. He heard clearly what the woman he loved so much said. Apparently, he had never been assertive to those who made his wife hurt. Moreover, he also lied with two opposing identities.

"I'm sorry, Xin'er! I was wrong, not my mother or grandmother. But, I'm the one who doesn't make you happy. I thought, by remaining silent, they would understand. But I was wrong" he sighed, wiping away tears.

Yep. That man was Zhaoling, the husband of Xin'er. The woman currently with Jihu is his wife, who changes her name to Yoona. For whatever reason, Zhaoling was certain that his wife was trying to trick him.

Xin'er's hatred for him was so great that she faked death and changed her name to Yoona. Xin'er never came home even to meet her loyal servant. But, Zhaoling didn't know the reason Xin'er hadn't been home all this time. He was indeed angry at Zhaoling, but the main reason was that Xin'er had been in a coma for several months and was unable to go home due to the injuries on her body.
