When Demon Child Become Human

When Demon Child Become Human
␑| Is Not OK

Again in a typical white room filled with glass shelves containing various types of drugs, but my condition is not sick, to be honest. Although the blow from Daniel was enough to surprise me to fall, maybe ... only leaves a little pain, and it is not too severe to have to go into the hospital room right?

Ah, maybe just a temporary check? But still ....

What's more until given a place to sit near the window that is now wide open until the wind feels blowing on my back, as well as the curtains that wave gently on my right and left. So that I can breathe well he said, even though it did not feel tight at all.

I think they're over-handling me.

"What happened?" I asked the two people who looked busy up ahead.

"Father took you to visit Fate with your club mates, maybe that way you can feel a lot better."

Finally Professor Kaidan lowered his phone after a long time typing something, and continued to say, "It seems you are still in shock to see the state of Fate. After hearing Fate's explanation of being in a coma for overextending yourself using Time Stop alone, you immediately acted strangely and let Sabel out."

"Well?!" I startled myself until I sat perfectly. God, to use Sabel? That bad?! "But I don't want to hurt myself anymore-"

"You have severe hallucinations until your body does not want to move, or move by itself, which is called catatonic. But that was just the initial diagnosis" Crist said in his flat accent, his face also showed no meaningful expression. Just staring at the aluminum table full of various objects that he endlessly used to treat bruises and large tear marks on his left hand.

Looks like ... because he hit the iron bench said he fell down quite a long time there? However, it has been handled well - perhaps using the healing skill?- spelled out no bleeding.

"You do not respond to others and stimuli exist such as the mind is no longer connected to consciousness. Your body is a bit stiff, not even moving at all. More dangerously you ever move by yourself; go for a walk until it's hard to find, thankfully it's not hurt."

"After two days, you have responded well even though the mind does not seem to focus on the real world. We're trying to make you fully aware" Crist continued, then grimaced a little because massaging your elbow-ah, must be sore.

"Eating him you took the initiative to visit Fate, it ended badly. Crist wanted to stop you from hurting yourself, but you just hit him."

Oh, my God, is that because of me?!

"Byeah, Crist! Sorry I didn't mean--"

"It's okay, Red, I get it. After all what I've been through is not comparable to you." Crist stopped his hands from smiling at me. A smile that I used to show and now understand.

Wait a minute, if taking out Sabel means I'm carrying a Heart Core? Then start checking yourself. And it turns out that it was wearing full clothes along with a waist bag, could it be that Professor Kaidan took care of me all this time?

Daniel should have hit me so hard that he screamed like that. However, thanks to that I was able to open my eyes as he called. Seemingly subconsciously anyway - in my subconscious - began to blame myself for Fate's coma-ending condition, because I still clearly remember not reporting about the success of doing the Ultimate Skill Soul Dancer with him.

I'm glad I could say thank you to Daniel.

"Can I ask?"

"Of course!" Whaaa! Professors Kaidan and Crist answered simultaneously, very compact.

"If one day my condition worsens like it did, how can Daniel do it? Like ... like, hit me?"

Heee, they immediately threw away their faces. Seems like you can't? Then I carved out an awkward smile, why ask that kind of question too?

Instantaneous silence. The sun was emitting its rays, warming myself as well as this space but their faces were increasingly visibly riled up even the sound of the clock ticking became a rhythm of its own clutter.

Until the sound of a long puff of breath airs, Professor Kaidan moved from leaning against the wall and patted Crist on the shoulder. Then he nodded as if he understood the meaning of his actions.

Then his steps led towards me. "Good dad you're so much better, take care of yourself. You have to go take care of something." A pat on the head I guess, and he started leaving space.

I was silent, and the eyes finally glued to Crist who was now done dealing with his own injuries. He is fairly reliable, the possibility of his expertise was born because he became the protege of the best doctor in Vaughan, what else before refused to be given care by several staff who arrived.

This reminds me of the letter that Crist once gave me, bearing the signature of Professor Kaidan; Professor Caterine; Head Master Lucian; also. His discussion was indeed a top-class secret, like my eternal secrecy; coming from another world.

"How long have I been unconscious like that?"

My view ends, my. "If it's allowed to continue, it's dangerous, right?"

The only one speaking to me did not reply but the face still did not show any expression. Moreover, the twinkle of dark blue irises went dim and finally, he closed his eyes.

After a few minutes, Crist replied, "Yes. From the beginning your condition wasn't okay."

I replied with a murmur and slowly started to look down.

In the letter also explained that my condition is not okay.

I had severe depression due to trauma in the past-PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). That's why it has a tendency to stay away from things that make my trauma relapse like holding a sword, for fear of killing again; avoiding humans, for fear of getting hurt again; staying aloof, for fear of losing.

There is often a rejection. Especially having unusual emotional turmoil such as easily feeling sad and crying. What else many times my memory was played by the other party, resulting in negative thoughts difficult to lose the trigger of depression getting worse.

Also explained because of this depression I often hallucinate and experience severe stages as Crist mentioned earlier, Catatonic.

Catatonics is a collection of symptoms in behavior and body movements that may occur in some patients with schizophrenia, people with genetic defects from birth so it is difficult to distinguish between imagination and the real world.

However, because the time span is sudden and not all the time, they estimate myself to have Catatonic due to brief Psychotic Episodes of hallucinations due to shock fishing, not birth defects.

There may be damage to brain tissue as well, especially in the frontal regions that affect daily actions and thought processes. That's why hallucinations can occur, as a result of my illness is not directly handled for a long time until it continues to get worse, because of the imbalance of hormones in the brain.

Terrible right? Of course, all new estimates, but it could be true because I am almost thousands of years old; continuously immersed in darkness plus my soul is indeed damaged.

And I hope, somehow, Vaughan can do something to me.

Because they say the determination of symptoms can definitely be determined after further examination, then they will intervene to treat me.

However, since I was a rare case and came from another world whose exact status was not yet known; another fact had immortality and an unusual aura, then my treatment and therapy had some risks.

If treatment and recovery efforts end badly, they will erase my memory and replace it with a new one. If the symptoms of my illness return, then the memory will continue to be replaced with new ones.

If it were lost and ended up out of control, then I would be exterminated right then and there.

Because it is eternal, the act of killing will be set aside. They chose another way of shutting down my entire nerve - my immortality - only dealt with injuries to the body, not the brain, as evidenced by the illness I had.

Or another way is sealing. Worst of all, Vaughan will conduct trials that use my immortality for the sake of the people.

Because of these risks, they need my full consent with full awareness.

This is a very difficult choice, arguably very detrimental. As Fate said about the immortal in his world, maybe I ended up being a lab rat but---

"Ah, yes, now you're fine. I'll prepare you some medicine just in case." Then my attention was on Crist who had stood up from sitting down, then stepped on a glass shelf full of medicine.

But I have decided. Perhaps this could also be my reward for the Vaughans.

Even more vividly remembered that night, my meeting with Apple and the decision to keep going. Because it's just an illusion, it feels real. I now remember all the memories I had.

And no more running away from my own problems.

Immediately I stretched out my hand to refuse Crist's administration by pushing a glass bottle full of the capsule medicine. In exchange, my right hand handed me a gold-stamped brown envelope from inside the waist bag, making it widen until the dark blue iris looked intact.

Then said steadily, "I agree to the therapy that Vaughan proposed."
