When Destiny Meets

When Destiny Meets
49. DON'T LOOK BACK

"This is the place."

Alina shows her favorite soto shop. The shop was quite crowded, so they needed to wait for a while to get a place inside. Due to Alina's theme of eating today, Arkana could only obey Alina's will and wait for the queue.

After a while of waiting they finally got a place. The position is indeed less strategic, maybe because basically the store is not wide enough to accommodate the blending of visitors at lunchtime.

They ordered their own food and waited for the food to be delivered. Feeling the heat, Arkana rolled up her shirt sleeves. Accidentally the scar on her arm was visible to Alina. Alina who did not know about the scar was shocked and held Arkana's arm.

"Why is this injury?" alina asked worriedly, thinking that this wound had just been obtained by Arkana.

"Oh .. long ago wound."

"illness?" ask Alina again.

"That's a long time ago, Al."

Since childhood Arkana often requires him to get a fairly large needle injection during the donor process. Being in the same position, thus forming a scar that will forever be on Arkana's arm.

Without realizing it, Alina was still holding Arkana's arm while continuing to pay attention to the scar. Alina's gentle touch hit her scar a few times, and Arkana didn't mind it at all.

Finally, their food orders arrived. Both began to eat their own food. Arkana ordered soto betawi while Alina ordered a complete special soto. The two of them clearly enjoyed the moment more than they did at the fancy restaurant yesterday.

Simplicity turned out to be more suitable and made Alina more comfortable. A lot of things they talked about together, including when Arkana and Kai went to school. Alina clearly left behind a lot of stories about her brother, and was happy when Arkana shared her memories with Kai with Alina.

The Baskara Pavilion was suddenly filled with many items. Rose who happened to pass by looked astonished by the unusual state of the Baskara pavilion. Baskara had asked some of her bodyguards to clean up her belongings.

"What's this?" rose asked one of Baskara's guards.

"We asked Mas Baskara to clean up his unused goods."

"Suddenly? what's up?" A confused Rose decides to call her son who happens to be not home.

Moments later Baskara picked up her phone. He is currently meeting his friends outside. Baskara only said if his intention was to clean up just to give space to put his other stuff.

"What do you want to know about Bas?" ask Rose.

"You want me to put bookshelves on work desks."

"Make what? you don't usually need that" Rose said, surprised Baskara was not as usual.

"Anyways now I want to seriously learn whatever it takes to be papa's successor."

I don't know what happened to Baskara, but suddenly he was eager to learn many things. If previously Baskara always refused, this time he actually did the initiative first. Is it related to Arkana?

Arkana and Alina are now right in front of the market and can't go anywhere. The rain kept them there. From their position to the car quite far. So there is no choice but to wait for the rain to subside in the market.

Hearing the idea Alina smiled widely and glanced at Arkana. Arkana who felt a suspicious look from Alina refused to see him. Alina tugged at Arkana's shirt, intending to take her back around. "We haven't covered it yet" said Alina.

Both of them finally walked to a small cafe in the corner of the market. In the cafe it is not too crowded, but there are people who do take away coffee in that place. They also decided to wait for the rain to stop in the cafe.

"So the last time Mas Arkana met Kak Kai was when you guys fought as many people?" tanya Alina was curious about the continuation of the story at the soto shop earlier.

"I think yes .. We have agreed to meet in the park, but suddenly when I got Kai already mobbed a lot of people."

Alina could not imagine that moment. Two teenage boys have to fight a grown man. Moreover, the amount is not worth it.

"My Boeing, I saw Mr. Agus as one of the people there."

"That's what makes me suspicious of you." Arkana was unwilling to believe that his own father's men were attacking him. But for what?

They both tried to escape on their motorcycles. But unfortunately, Kai whose position behind Arkana must be blocked by those people and successfully arrested. Indeed from the beginning their target was Kai.

Arkana did not look back at all, and only realized behind him there was no Kai when he fell off the bike. Those guys are still after him and there's no Kai there. They stopped chasing after Arkana turned to her house.

Arkana did not appear on many of Miller's family shows. It is only natural that some of his fathers did not recognize Arkana.

"Sorry."

"Sorry why?" alina asked confusedly hearing Arkana suddenly apologize to her.

"After that time I was behind Kai, he would not have disappeared."

"Udah passing .. The important thing is now we focus on finding him until we meet," said Alina smiled warmly.

Talking about this again reminds Arkana of those times, her last time meeting Kai. There was still something that made him curious. That is when he first came, Kai seemed to be talking about something with those people.

But the conversation stopped when he arrived, and finally began a fistfight that he did not expect. Kai and Arkana who are both quite good at fighting can initially compensate. But with so many opponents, over time they were overwhelmed.

"Ar .. they're too many, mending we just run away." Kai was the first to advise them to run away.

"Where are we going to run? there's no running gap to the bike."

"We run at the same time .. don't look back just run away just keep running away," said Kai assured Arkana.

After a moment of being cornered, their bodies were already no longer able to receive and avenge those people's blows. They also agreed it was the right time to run to their bike and run away. Because if it's too late they won't even be able to ride a motorcycle to escape.

Arkana and Kai ran at the same time. As strong as Arkana's power ran towards his motor, turned it on and instantly blurred. There was a sound from behind the voices of the people shouting to call him and then trying to catch up with him on the bike.

As Kai said, he did not look back at all. Until he does not realize at the same time Kai deliberately sacrifices himself to hinder the people and let himself be caught so that Arkana can escape first.

If only Arkana knew what was really going on. He would definitely not run away and choose to go back to fighting with those people. Or even the same as Kai letting those people catch him to know who told them to.

Sorry Al. If I wasn't a coward at the time.
