You are the Only One

You are the Only One
33. The Convulsive Speech of Oliver

Olavia

After a pretty rough conversation, we finally decided to get Owen to meet somewhere neutral and out of reach of the news hunters. We have not found a place where, but Bang Oli has promised to accompany me no matter when and where.

The meeting between Owen and me with Bang Oli as my bodyguard.

A promise that really pacified a small part of my mind. Even so, my heart still felt different.

It's been three days since I sent that message to Angga. A message that broadly asked her to understand my decision about the postponement of our marriage. But, actually, it's not. After I reread the message, I realized that it looked very heartless and too clinical. It was as if our marriage was just a trivial matter that could be changed at will and was as easy as turning the palm of the hand.

It was as if our marriage was just my responsibility, not something that affected both of us.

What can I do, writing that message alone feels half dead. Either one would believe it or not at all if I told you that when the send sign below the message turned into sent and there was no reply whatsoever from Angga, it felt like half of my soul was torn apart by his residence. Knowing Angga, he would accept my decision without a fight because he was sure that was what I wanted. That's what I need. He will always try to fulfill my wishes no matter if it will hurt him or not.

However, may I admit that I want him to occasionally defy the decisions I take? May I say that in certain moments I want him to come, question and demand an explanation from me, and then insist on proving that the decision I made was the wrong one. May I admit that at this moment I want him to go against my will?

Maddened. I've gone mad. I have the most perfect man in the world, but I must continue to hurt him.

For three days Oleander asked where his father was. His father, Angga, was not the real father who had still not met him. And, it has been three days also I berkilah by saying that Angga is busy with business in the restaurant.

It had been three days that Bang Oli had acted as a diversion for his nephew.

But today, none of his efforts have succeeded.

"Lele wants to see Papa!" raung Oleander on the floor of the living room. "Lele wants to see Papa Papa!"

Mama glanced at me with fret. Papa cleared his throat, I was sure to clear the guilty feeling that blocked his throat. I tried to appease Oleander by giving various promises, but they all flew over his head. There is nothing in the heart.

He just wanted his papa, but I can't give it to him right now.

"La." Bang Oli was already sitting next to me in front of Oleander who was still raging. He then moved his head at a glance, as a code for me to follow him. I thought after glancing at Mama who nodded.

Bang Oli directed our steps towards the backyard. "Let Abang take Ole to Angga's place. How's it? That way you don't have to meet."

I felt my eyes heat up just because of the mention of Angga's name I heard just now from Bang Oli. I bit the lower lip that had started to shake. I covered my mouth with my palm as a first sob jumped out from the inside of my chest.

My brother whispered his curse. She was in the middle of picking me up, putting me in her arms. "Sw. Ssshh," persuaded Bang Oli while continuing to stroke my hair. "Sw. Yes, it is."

No one can stop these tears. Not only Oleander, I really miss my future husband. But what is power. I've made a decision, I have to live it.

"Some, why would you delay your marriage anyway? Why are you saying you have to break first? Though you can discuss this with Angga. He must have understood. If you are still upset because of his actions, yes, say it directly as well. Don't play sending messages like that, La. You guys are both adults. Hadee." He complains.

Complaints that don't fix the mood at all. "Dragon!" I whine in his chest. I hit her hard body with my small fist. "Don't say that. I'll be even more sorry."

He had the courage to laugh. "Yes, it's the same you, too" Bang Oli replied. "Those men don't have superpowers, La. We can't read minds. One thing we can do for our loved ones is to follow their wishes. When do we know that behind all these desires lies another desire? The opposite is also true. How do we know? What signs?"

Ah, goddamn. Bang Oli didn't help me at all.

"Makanya, from the beginning you said to be honest. Do not use morse codes or ciphers and the like. We can't read that. Trying to understand your way of thinking women alone feels very complicated, whether there should be homework to memorize the password. When can we enjoy life with you guys then the story, huh?"

A swarm jumped outside. This Bang Oli really! He can scold and comfort me at the same time. Just her. Only him.

"What do you think Ola should do, Bang?" I asked among the sobs that shook the body.

"You want to do what you suggest?" his challenge.

"If it can guarantee everything's back to good, yes, I will."

"okay, then. Let's go."

Huh uh?

"Where are you?" Oliver asked from across the line.

"Gue's at home." I answered half-heartedly. "Why?"

"Eh, you. I ... I want nyamperin lo. But, is it okay if I go there now?"

I frowned. What else, anyway, is this Kunyuk problem? He, right, has been here. So, what's the problem? Why ask for permission like that? After all he knew exactly that I was doing nothing but cosplay so the plants withered on my couch. "If you want to come here, yes, just come here, bro. Don't need it to me like it's also lonya."

"What are you doing now?"

Why, anyway, he's like a census officer, so many questions? "Gue again I lie, Oliiiii."

He even laughed. Kamprxt.

"Yes, already. Obviously I want to go there. If I were an elo, I'd take a shower and take a few pegs before I get there. If I were an elo, I'd be horrified by my words."

What the fxck? What's the matter, anyway? Why did he speak up so?
