Goslings
I didn't realize that my whole body was shaking when I finally brought Olavia's body to stand with my body. I was not aware of the tears that flooded both of our faces. I was not aware of the applause and cheers that were airing from the people around us. I was not aware of anything other than Olavia and I until I finally heard the whimpering of the voice. "Father, Mama, Papa, Mama."
When I looked down, Ole was already between our legs. He held up his hands together and asked to be carried.
Immediately I put his tiny body into the decking so that his head is now almost parallel to the head of his mother. "Mama, how come, cry?" ask Ole suspiciously. The frown on his forehead was exactly what Olavia often looked like when he paid more attention to something.
I wanted to laugh, but I realized that it would make my child more confused. So, I chose the middle path by explaining. "Your mom's happy, Le."
Instead of understanding, Oleander loses his clue. "If Mama's happy, why's Mama crying, Pa?"
"Yes, because we are happy we can also cry," I said again.
The birthday guy shakes his head full of question marks.
Olavia saw this as an opportunity to take over the conversation. "Eh, do you still want to play if you want to cut the cake?"
"Cake cut!" Miraculously the frown on his forehead suddenly disappeared from his angel face. The confused look that existed before has now been changed with cheerfulness. Oleander's hand was raised for another reason.
"Then, you should wash your hands first, huh? It was, like, done playing sand." My woman added in later.
"Here, let Ole wash his hands with Oma."
"Yes, Oma also wants to nemenin Oleander handsome hand wash, nih. Yuk." yuk."
And, miraculously again, the two women who gave birth to us have also appeared and been there. Olavia somehow blushed in embarrassment at the voices of the two mothers.
"Eh, Mama. Uh, Auntie," he said.
Aunt Yuni immediately hugged her only child. "Congratulations, yes, dear." The Olavia's brow.
"Thanks, Mama."
Then it was my turn to embrace her. Mama just looked at it with a smile before joining put a kiss on the forehead of my beloved woman. "Don't call Auntie again. From now on call Mama too, huh?" tell Mama with affection.
Daaaam. It felt like my heart was really full of seeing the interaction of my two women. The woman who gave birth to me and the woman who gave birth to my children.
My wife-to-be.
Fxcking. It all still feels so unreal.
Then, the women took turns to kiss my cheek.
"Finally, yes, Ngga," said Aunt Yuni meaningfully.
"Finally, Aunt." I responded.
I was immediately pierced by the glance of the middle-aged woman. "You too, Ngga." Aunt Yuni patted my arm gently. "Don't call me Aunt again. Ineligibility. I'm tired of being called aunty to you."
Okay, then. "Ah, Tan–eh, Mama can do it."
The women who surround me giggle.
Oleander's whimper again managed to get the adults' conversation back on the right track. "Mama, cake! Oma, cake. Cake, cake, cake!"
Instantly the gel broke.
Ole who was impatient to meet with his birthday cake immediately leaned forward, towards Olavia's nyokapnya hand. And the two mothers took him away from us.
After Oleander disappeared, people like vying to approach me and Olavia to congratulate him.
Xxxx. How could I forget that there were so many guests watching my proposal? God fucking. Happiness sometimes makes you forget the land.
We welcome congratulations one by one. I even had to pretend to be willing to be embraced by my cousin and Aunt Olavia who I knew all along had plagued my woman's life. I want to tell them the inappropriate words that have gone out of their rotten mouths. However, I finally decided to keep it in my heart. I don't want to ruin this happy day by being petty.
"Weeee, congratulations, boss!" bang Coki exclaimed after Mr. Joko greeted me. "Finally so, too!"
I also choose to forgive his over-excessive attitude. "Thanks, Bang," I said. "Not yet, anyway. Half a mateng." I joked back.
"Dam. I still can't believe you can joke too. God only loves one emotion. Turns out ...."
I can't bear to not curse him for the comment he just made. "Damn you, Bang! You think I'm what?"
We all laughed.
"If this is the way, I think I should hurry up and repent, nih!" sela Mbak Lina refers to the conversation—no, not the conversation, but the words of Olavia in ancient times.
Four years ago it felt so far away now.
My woman suddenly lowered her head and put her face on my chest. It clearly managed to ignite my overprotective flame against Olavia. "Come on, Ma'am. I'm not having to talk about that now. I have forgotten." I protested.
Ms. Lina still has a conscience to feel guilty. "Eh, sorry. Ma'am doesn't mean that, La," ringisnya.
Olavia in Kalakian raised his face again. He didn't forget to elbow my stomach first before smiling at our restaurant's server. "It's okay, Ma'am. I think Ma'am should be a pal, deh. Than late."
Shortly after Ms. Lina finished her remarks, we welcomed Ms. Renata who approached with her husband, my trust contractor. Just this morning, when they came, then I knew that Mas Galuh was her husband the little mothers of cayenne pepper.
Galuh extended his hand. "Congratulations, yes, sir. Good luck until H."
I replied that the hand was smiling. "Thank you so much for your prayers, Mom." Unlike Olavia and his former secretary, Mas Galuh maintained an atmosphere of professionalism between us.
Hm. Maybe because he kissed a lot of new projects in the future or what, huh?
"Finally, La!" The mothers with that small posture immediately jumped into Olavia's arms. They had long abandoned the custom of having formal conversations after Olavia handed the reins of leadership to Bu Ratna. From then on, they became more familiar and interacted like a somewhat older brother and youngest sister.
More or less like someone who should have been here today, or everyday in these three years.
Skip that part's.
However, it seems I cannot make skip that part a reality because I believe Olavia also noticed it at the same time as me. At once I also watched the light in his eyes dim after saying thank you to Miss Renata who had passed.
Fortunately, there were no more people waiting in line to congratulate him. Bu Renata and Mas Galuh were the last couple.
I hug my woman. "She'll come around" I whispered in Olavia's ear. "She will's. Just ... wait with me. Okay?"
A small movement felt over my chest. Olavia just nodded. "Okay" he whispered back.
Okay. I hope the girl is fully conscious and returns to being Olavia's best friend someday. One day I wish it had come sooner.
