"Yamaoooo!"
I put the can I was holding on the coffee table and stood up when I heard the scream. "Udah, I'll see Ole" I said when I saw Olavia also moving at about the same time. "You just sit here. I'll take him outside."
Olavia nodded and thanked him.
Well, I don't think this is something that deserves an award, but a thank you is really appreciated. I stepped into the room. Through the open door I could see that my son was sitting on the bed and was rubbing his eyes. "Wake up, Le?"
Ole's movements suddenly stopped after hearing my voice. He turned his head so quickly that I was worried that his neck would sprain after doing so. Ole then flickered while staring at me.
I'm sure the smile I'm giving now can easily split my face in half. However, I don't care. I'm really happy to meet this kid.
"Father!" Shortly after exclaiming, Ole changed his position and crawled on the bed. Quickly he moved his hands and feet in order to immediately clear the distance between us.
I also did the same. My broad steps do that more easily.
"Father!" Ole again exclaimed as he scattered his tiny body into my already open embrace.
I sat my ass on the bed. "Hey, kiddo." I hugged the body tightly. I inhale the smell of baby powder that is still used deeply. I really miss the smell. At times like this, the smell of sweat became something I missed. "Wake up?"
He nodded firmly. "Have you finished your work?" The three-year-old asked back.
I also nodded. "Udah, dong," I replied as I continued to scowl Ole. "Where? As long as Papa's working you're a good boy, aren't you, for Mama?"
Oleander takes out what I mean as a ringing. Either he knew what he was working on or not while grinning like that. "Well," he excitedly admitted. "But, Lele is very upset with Papa Lele can not be a good child anymore. Lele's brother wants to see Papa, but Mama says Papa is still busy looking. Lele is upset."
Okaays. What am I going to say about that? "It's okay." I kissed her forehead to relieve the guilt that was seen on Ole's face. I kissed her forehead a little long in hopes my touch would make her a little calmer. "It's okay. You can be upset. But, in the future you make sure to convey your feelings properly, huh? Papa's job is also long, yes, Le. Papa misses you too."
"Yes, Pa?" His tone again contained a cheerful intonation.
"Yes, dong. Obviously Papa misses Papa's son. No time? His son is this funny." I tickled Ole's waist gently.
His crisp laughter instantly filled the room space.
Uh. How I missed his scents. How I missed his laugh. How I missed how he mispronounced his words, how he spoke with the slow lisp because of his toddler tongue. Fxck. I missed him so much.
Of course I don't have any of that. How can I buy souvenirs and toys for my son while I myself for the past three days behave like a dead man who lives unwillingly. Just had a shower today. That was after the vague warning from the Oli.
And of course I don't want to tell Ole about any of that. "Ah, Papa did not have time to buy souvenirs or toys for Lele yesterday. You see, Papa hurriedly went home. I'm so excited about the same Dad's son," I'm. "If you want, we'll buy the toys. How's it? We asked Mama when she could buy toys. Okay?"
Oleander's joyful cheer is my reason for living and trying desperately other than loving Olavia wholeheartedly. As long as I can do both correctly, it is safe to say that my life is complete. I already have what I can have in this world.

The day passed so quickly. Oleander had fallen asleep again in the room. After going outside the room, Ole just pointed at his mother with various requests. He, cleverly, used the phrase "because Papa didn't buy Lele souvenirs" as an excuse to invite parents, including his Om Oli, to go to the mall and buy everything he wanted.
Actually I know what we did was wrong, obeying all the wishes of the child, but guilt makes us, especially me, weak and helpless. Be us home with some new toys three hours later.
Yeah, what can I do? We can't keep being good parents, can we?
Ole fell asleep on his way home. Fortunately, we had dinner before we went home.
It's nine o'clock by now. I, Olavia, and Oli once again sat on the sofa in the living room.
"So, what's the next plan?" I opened the conversation. The parent conversations that should have happened.
Oliver immediately put on a serious face. The expression he wore while facing the judge and prosecutor at the trial. "Bokap has contacted Owen. He said he was willing to meet, but asked for time to find a place first. He has to make sure everything is safe. You know, in case something happened aka paparazzi showing up. These bastards are the evil."
"Yeah, but didn't he choose to be in their midst?" I can't help but snide comments coming out of my mouth. I'm not wrong anyway, am I? He himself made himself the food of those savages.
Oliver chuckled with one corner of his lips raised higher. "yeah. And I think the xsshole deserves it."
I couldn't agree more with Oliver's statement. "So, now we just wait for news from him, huh?"
Oliver nodded.
"Okay then." I squeezed out Olavia's shoulder which I was hugging. The next word out of my mouth, I pointed it at him. "I want you to tell me about anything related to this just like me. Okay well? I don't want to feel the need to hide anything from me anymore. No matter how painful it is for me. You're not the only one who can overthink, honey. Me either. Especially when it comes to my family members. You're my future wife, Yang. Ole is my son. I want to know everything that's happening to you. Okay well? You hear me? No more secret."
