After some tiring subjects, it is time for lunch break.
Izuna and Asuna will study when after school tomorrow, exactly they will go to one of the public libraries not far from the school.
Right now, at her own desk, Izuna was confused about what to do.
He did not bring lunch, and if he had to go to the cafeteria, he also did not know where the cafeteria was located. Izumi's class was also somewhere that made Izuna just sigh tiredly.
"Hey, Miyamura right? Would you like to come with me to the cafeteria?"
A voice suddenly came and when Izuna turned her head, she saw a figure that was quite foreign to her.
"I'm Igarashi Ryo, greetings." said Ryo as he extended his hand.
Izuna also extended her hand, shook her hand and introduced herself.
"You may already know, but I'm Miyamura Izuna, and just call me Izuna."
"Haha, alright, you can also call me Ryo. So, how? Would you like to come with me?" Ryo asked.
"Sure, I'm pretty hungry anyway."
"Haha, okay. But before that, there's a friend of mine coming, we'll wait for him for a second, do you mind?"
"No, not at all."
The two began to talk and became quite familiar. Ryo said he has a hobby of sports, but he does not follow any club, and when asked by Izuna, he replied:
"I'm going to keep the club home, and that's the best thing."
So.
Clubs come home, it's a name for people who don't follow the club and go straight home after school.
Although they actually did not follow the club, but they made an unofficial club named "Club go home".
They chatted for some time until a student walked in from outside the classroom and walked up to the two of them.
"Ryo, I've come" she said, she then looked towards Izuna and asked Ryo, "is she a new student? I never seem to have seen it."
"Yes, his name is Miyamura Izuna. And Izuna, she was my childhood friend, Nagumo Hajime." said Ryo, introducing the two of them.
Looking at Hajime, Izuna reached out her hand and said, "Miyamura Izuna, you can call me Izuna if you want."
While answering Izuna's hand, Hajime also said, "Nagumo Hajime, just call Hajime if you want."
Hajime has black hair, brown eyes, and a slim body, as well as a good face. She wears a Katagiri uniform which is generally; a long-sleeved white shirt lined with black blazers and black pants, and gray sneakers just like Izuna.
But, in contrast to Izuna and Hajime, Ryo was only wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and black trousers.
Regardless of their uniform differences, in fact they only wear uniforms that are used in different seasons.
In winter, students generally wear thicker, heavier uniforms such as long-sleeved shirts lined with warm sweaters or black blazers.
But, when in the summer, generally the clothes they wear are thinner as Ryo prefers today.
__________
During the trip they chatted a little to melt the atmosphere.
In just a few minutes, but they have become familiar with each other.
They talked to each other, then they heard a voice from behind calling out to Hajime...
"Aguma-kun!"
The three of them turned around and saw a girl with long black hair reaching her back, with unguided eyes behind them and she who called out to Hajime. There were three students following.
As said earlier, Hajime was indeed an Otaku.
But, he wasn't too bad or annoying, so the name dirty otaku barely made him fit. Her hair was cut short and kept neat.
Plus, that doesn't mean he also has communication problems. Of course, he was not the one who spoke the most, but he had no problem responding to the person he was talking to. He was a calm person overall, but not to the point where it could be considered gloomy.
It just so happens that he is interested in a very specific set of media— namely manga, novels, video games, and movies.
So why do all the students hate Hajime?
The answer is simple...
"Good Day, Nagumo-kun! You barely made it in time. I think you should at least try early." One of the girls smiled softly as he approached Hajime.
She was one of the few people in the school who treated her well, and was also the reason why everyone hated her.
Shirasaki Kaori, one of the most popular girls in school, is very beautiful to be considered a goddess by many. His long, black hair reached to his waist, and his big, alluring eyes were filled with kindness. Her petite nose was perfectly raised on her face, and her pink lips were the epitome of perfection.
She always had a smile on her face, and her ability to take care of others combined with her strong sense of responsibility made her one
the most respected student in school.
Moreover, he was tolerant and understood a mistake, to the point where no one had ever seen him look unhappy before.
And, for whatever reason, Shirasaki Kaori took an interest in Hajime. Most people think Hajime is a terrible student because he always sleeps in class because he often stays up late (in fact, he has a fairly high average score). And, since Shirasaki was always looking after the other students, they were sure that was the reason she talked to him.
Had his offer convinced Hajime to become a better student, or if he was a naturally more handsome man, other men might not have thought too much about Kaori's interest in him.
But, as usual, he was sad
because the average looks like a person can do, and his favorite motto is "a hobby of real life," so obviously his attitude towards school also shows no signs of improvement.
As it was, the average first grade student in his class could not bear the fact that Hajime was very close to Kaori.
"A-Ah, Shi-Shirasaki-san." Hajime's face stiffened as he felt the bloodthirsty gazes of some of the people around them and some of them were in a class with him.
Instead, Kaori smiled happily as she looked at him.
'Why do you always see me like that!?' Hajime was desperate as he felt a burning gaze on himself.
A moment before, he was very happy to be able to relax with Ryo and Izuna.
But, ever since she was greeted by Shirasaki Kaori, that feeling felt like it was breaking into pieces.
_______
Hajime was very confused. He did not understand why the most beautiful girl in school cared about a man like him.
To him, it seemed like there was something more than just a natural trait to help others.
Of course, he wasn't too arrogant to believe that he might have a romantic interest in her.
Hajime was well aware of the fact that he had given up many things to live a life that was fully devoted to his hobby. He knew his looks, grades, and athletic ability on average at all.
There are many people who are better than him who are much better suited to be his partner, even among his acquaintances alone. That's why he considers his behavior
so confused.
Three men behind Shirasaki approached them. They saw the two of them like vultures, waiting for him to finish talking.
But, it was not only the three of them who felt that. Ryo and Izuna on the other hand also felt the same feeling as the three friends behind Shirasaki.
And, as the three of them approached Hajime, Izuna and Ryo also came to Hajime.
"Good Day, Nagumo-kun. As usual you were almost late this morning." Said one of the girls from Shirasaki's friend
"Well see him again, Kaori? You are too good for your own good" said one of Shirasaki's friends.
"God. Talk with failure like he spent a lot of time" said another man from Shirasaki's group.
The only person who greeted Hajime from the three was Yaegashi Shizuku, Kaori's best friend.
Shizuku's black hair was tied with her distinctive ponytail. Her almond-shaped eyes gave her a rather sharp look, but deep within her gaze, she got a kindness that made her look cool rather than cold.
At 162 centimeters tall, she is taller than most other girls in her class. That, combined with his sturdy body, made him like a dignified samurai.
And the samurai made for a rather precise analogy because his family actually ran a dojo that taught Yaegashi style, and Shizuku herself is a peerless swordsman who has never lost a single kendo tournament.
In fact, she has appeared in magazines before and has a rather fanatical fanbase. The press called him the beautiful samurai of modern times.
