39. Stories of the past

Because her head was too dizzy to digest all Izuna's words, Kana simply nodded and did not read commenting.

"real Izuna... Can you get me the medicine that's there?" Kana then pointed to one of the medicine boxes hanging on the wall.

"But, you said if the UKS ran out of stock?" Izuna asked in confusion.

"Yes, but it's another drug. While the medicine I was referring to was fever medicine" Kana said.

Izuna nodded and then walked up to pick it up. He was looking for a cure for the flu and after he found it, Izuna immediately took him to Kana with a glass of water in her hand.

"It's Sensei, please."

"Pulse. Thanks." Kana took the medicine Izuna gave her and then laid her body down again.

"You must take care of your health Sensei..."

"What can I do if it's like this, right?"

"But still... All right, get some rest here, I'll lie down next door. If you need anything, you can call me." With those words, Izuna then lay down on the bed beside Cana's bed and closed her eyes later.

When Izuna lay down, she did not expect that she would fall into a deep sleep.

But, when she woke up, Izuna did not expect that there would be someone standing next to her while she slept.

"You're awake, Miyamura-kun."

Izuna looked at Yui who was standing beside her, and she could guess what she wanted to do to meet her.

"Ah, Kotegawa-san. What are you here for?" Izuna tried to divert the conversation because she could see a strange smile forming on the side of her mouth.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see you. I heard you're sick, are you okay?" Yui though she previously wanted to punish Izuna for having been absent from school a lot, but when she heard that Izuna was sick and went to the UKS, she said, he couldn't help but worry about her.

"Um, I've been quiet, thank you for worrying about me." Izuna smiled sincerely as her eyes looked straight at Yui without blinking her gaze.

Yui blushed when she saw Izuna smile, her cheeks flushed red and she turned her face to the right side, "H-Hmph! Not that I care about you or anything, I-I just don't want any of these school students to get sick!"

When at this moment, Yui immediately showed the "tsun" side of her to Izuna. After all, he was too embarrassed to admit that he was worried about Izuna's current condition.

In fact, if he knew that if Izuna only pretended to be sick in order to ditch the lesson, he would definitely double-No, maybe he would make Izuna's punishment many times over.

"But even so I'm glad you're worried about me like that." Izuna as usual, she always showed a smile to all sorts of situations.

Though, it depends on the smile given, if the smile is sincere wholeheartedly, it is good. But, if it was a mocking, or self-reflecting smile, then no doubt, it would definitely cause a feeling of resentment and anger towards that person.

Yui blushed even more, she could not control herself anymore and then directly left the UKS.

Izuna looked at Yui's back and just shook her head helplessly. He then realized something and turned to the side of his bed

"Sensei's... I'm sorry, I didn't notice you before, but, how is your current condition? Does sensei need me again to do something?" Izuna asked worriedly.

Kana shook her head, "No. I'm fine now, and thank you for before."

"No, I also happen to be in this place" Izuna said as she shook her head. As for why Kana was grateful, it was because Izuna had previously helped her take the fever medicine that made her body somewhat lightened at this time

"By the way, sensei. How do you get a fever? And it seems that even though your fever is not too severe, but you also appear exhausted? Is it because of that?" Izuna had previously taken the fever medicine for Kana, and it was obvious that Kana was having a fever, otherwise why would she have him take the fever medicine?

Then, Kana also sweats a lot even though this room has a burning AC, and also the breath of Kana also hunts, like someone who has just run a marathon.

"Maybe I'm too tired to work... Lately I've been working late, even at home I've been doing work." Kana nodded and explained a little to Izuna, she also did not feel wrong with Izuna's words since she always worked day and night.

At his home, he also had to review the materials he would give his students tomorrow, and he also checked one by one the tasks he had actually given them.

Naturally if Kana was sick, she had barely rested lately, and was too busy working.

"Iori-san's...." Kana grumbled in a low voice, feeling annoyed at telling her bad side to Izuna. But, he still nodded at Izuna after sighing, "I'll visit her later."

"Good, I'd say if you're going to visit, he'd love to."

"I'm not sure about that." said Kana tiredly.

"By the way, have you known my mother for a long time? Looks like your relationship is very close?" Izuna asked curiously. For Iori to be able to tell some of Kana's bad sides to her, their relationship was clearly not just an acquaintance right?

And Kana was also just grumbling when she heard all that from Izuna.

Kana took a breath and then said, "Yes, Iori-san was sensei's friend first, and we've been friends for years..."

Kana begins to tell her past stories, but of course there are some parts that she missed.

As a child, Kana grew up in the same town as Iori. Despite being a few years different, the two girls remained close friends for many years.

Kana has a much more shy and reserved personality as a teenager and also wears glasses. Originally wanting to become a teacher after high school, she felt she was no match for it based on her timid nature.

During his last year's winter break in high school, 17-year-old Kana accidentally throws herself into the river trying to save an 11-year-old boy who jumped off a bridge as he passed by. After leaving the freezing water, he took the boy to his house where they washed themselves in the bathtub together.

After explaining how she believes jumping will help her grow into adulthood faster, the boy then reasoned that Kana might be able to talk to him comfortably as she jumped off the bridge and became an adult as well.

After realizing that he was also growing his first hair******, the boy wanted to see if Kana was growing hair as well to prove that they were actually becoming adults.

Reluctant at first, he decided to protect the boy's dream by briefly showing him the hair*********** to him. Her last words to Kana were that she was glad she got the courage to jump despite being scared.

The reason the boy was attached to him, became a guiding force in developing his bold yet intensive teaching methods that would eventually label him as "Oni no Kojima".
