44. Asuna Family

6.20 AM.

Asuna's House.

The sound of the alarm clock woke Asuna from her sleep. He extended his hand to the side and turned off the alarm clock on the table next to his bed.

Asuna got up and raised her hand up while yawning, before finally wiping her still sleepy eyes.

"It's morning..."

Asuna moved her body and walked towards the bathroom.

After the bath, Asuna took the clothes from her wardrobe and changed her bathrobe to her school uniform.

He stood in front of the mirror while gently styling his blonde brown hair.

Lately, Asuna was not as usual, she became more smiling even though she had a pretty complicated problem on her mind.

"Hmm, maybe I'll bring Izuna-kun lunch?" Asuna muttered to herself.

Lately, his relationship with Izuna has become closer, especially with the presence of Hakari who recently came—Asuna to be more courageous to approach Izuna blatantly.

Previously, he had also learned of one of the rumors about him having a relationship with Izuna, and he secretly smiled happily when he heard those rumors.

'It would be great if it wasn't just a rumor...'

Because of their closeness and their daily interactions, many of the students who saw her thought that they were dating, and started spreading rumors about it.

Because of the rumors as well, all the girls looked at Asuna with envious gazes and they also became less aggressive towards Izuna.

Asuna had been fond of Izuna for quite a while, perhaps after they first studied together. She began to be attracted to him from then on, and somehow, she became in love with him as she could see now.

Asuna knew that many girls liked Izuna, and many of them had already expressed their feelings for Izuna, but only towards Izuna's rejection.

Asuna came out of her room on the 2nd floor and went downstairs for breakfast. He also met one of his family's servants on his way to the dining room.

"Good morning, Asuna-sama" he said as he lowered his head when he saw Asuna.

"Good morning, Sata-san" Asuna said with a small smile.

Sata-san raised his head, and scolded Asuna calmly, "Breakfast is ready. Your father's in the dining room, too."

"Oh, yeah. Um, thank you." said Asuna as she nodded and walked away, heading to the dining room.

In the dining room itself, there were three people who were already there, and did their own activities.

First there is Asuna's sister, Yuuki Kouchiro. She herself was a 20-year-old teenager who exuded a calming aura around her body. His body was quite thin and slightly contained, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Second there is Asuna's father, Yuuki Shouzou. He himself was an old man with wrinkles on his face and brown hair.

And finally, there is Asuna's mother, Yuuki Kyouko. She was a fairly tall middle-aged woman. Even though he was skinny, his sturdy body dispelled the slim look. Her hair, which was dyed in a rich brown color, was neatly split to the side along her jaw. Although her face was beautiful, her high nose and jaw, as well as the deep wrinkles near her mouth created an extremely cold impression. Kyouko also has brown eyes.

"Morning, Asuna" said Kouichiro greeting Asuna while eating her breakfast.

"Good morning too, Onii-chan" Asuna said as she pulled up the chair next to her sister.

"Morning, Asuna." greeted Asuna's father, Yuuki Shouzou as his two hands were currently holding the newspaper.

"Morning. Tumben once Dad was still here."

"You're late. I told you to come to the dinner table at 6:55, didn't I?" mother Asuna said, Yuuki Kyouko as she closed her eyes, and her hand held a cup of warm tea and began to drink it quietly.

"Sorry." Asuna lowered her head in regret. The happy atmosphere around him just disappeared, replaced by a gloomy and sad atmosphere.

He with his head bowed sat in his chair and said nothing.

Seeing the atmosphere of the dining room that seemed to have changed, Asuna's father Yuuki Shouzou tried to warm the atmosphere by asking Asuna.

"How's school?"

"Everything went well!" Asuna regained her cherry side, and her mood also improved after hearing the question from her father.

It was only natural that if she was like this, Asuna grew up in a pretty cold Family. His mother only cared about his future and did not think about his feelings. His father was so busy he didn't have time for him. And brother? Although he is a good brother, but Kouichiro can not always be with Asuna.

"I got perfect scores for Math and English on Monthly Deuteronomy. And today will be announced the student with the highest grade." Asuna said excitedly. She was like a little girl who wanted to be praised by her parents for doing something great.

"You should have gotten a high rating. Few children are serious about learning this year" Yuuki Kyouko said in a disinterested tone, as if what Asuna had said just now was uninteresting.

Kouichiro was surprised when he heard his mother's answer, he was about to say something but ended up just holding it back and looking at his sister sadly.

"I got an A on the Bimbel exam. And sensei also said that I would be fine if I could survive. So, no need to worry." Hearing his mother's answer earlier, of course Asuna felt bitter and sad, but she tried to impress her mother with her other hard work.

Yuuki Kyouko held her forehead when she heard Asuna's reply, shaking her head slowly, she said, "Hahh... Lower your vigilance again."

"Already, already, as long as he succeeds that's enough." Asuna's father Yuuki Shouzou tries to mediate between the two when he sees that the situation may turn increasingly heated. "That's part of the selection process for executive candidates. So don't fail, okay?" said Shouzou commemorating Kouichiro.

"I understand."

The two started chatting with their business affairs, leaving Asuna bowed as she stared at the food in front of her with eyes filled with sadness inside.

"Asuna, finish your food quickly. You will be late" said Yuuki Kyouko when he saw Asuna who was just silent and did not eat her food.

Asuna exhaled tiredly, took out a spoon and fork, and began to eat her food in a lackluster manner.

"Good meal...."

At the entrance, Asuna put on her shoes and prepared to leave for school.

"I'm leaving, Sata-san."

"Good way, Asuna-sama."

Asuna turned around and was about to walk away, but her sister's voice from behind stopped her steps.

"Oh, Asuna! Are you leaving already?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"You've been trying. Don't push yourself too much" Kouichiro said as he patted Asuna on the shoulder and walked away.

"Yes, I know." said Asuna as she looked at her sister's back that was getting away.
