A Pair of Eclipse Swords
Chapter :50 – River Gorge
It felt so irritated that it almost got squeezed out by people, even it was a soldier. I don't know who is not a litter but this shows that the government is quite negligent, considering the incident occurred in the imperial capital.
In the morning, Sung Han without lingering any longer immediately left the capital. He slept last night on a big tree, enduring the cold and hunger that attacked. So after leaving the city, Sung Han took the time to hunt rabbits and wild chickens and then made breakfast food.
The goal was clear, namely the Valley of Demons. I don't know what that place is but Sung Han sure it must be more terrifying than most valleys. There was no way people would name that place with the Demonic Valley if there was indeed nothing.
According to people in the village where Sung Han stayed during the trip, the valley was named Devil's Valley for its awesomeness. It is said that many people are missing there for no apparent reason. The body is gone, once met it must have been torn apart.
Sung Han shuddered, but he continued on towards the north. The valley was said to consist of many dangerous steep ravines, as this was one of the interlopers who Sung Han happened to ask.
"You're looking to die there. Instead of getting what you want, it's the angel of death who comes to say hello."
"I've set my goal uncle, thank you for the transport."
"Sorry I can only get here to drop off, I'm afraid. I'm free for this."
"Thank you!"
As soon as the deliveryman, Sung Han looked at the forest in front of him. The mystical aura was clearly felt from here even before he set foot into the forest ground.
A few days passed and it was supposed that after passing through this huge forest then he would meet a place called the River Gorge, which was the gateway to the Demonic Valley.
"So far, I can't hesitate!!"
What was it that Sung Han was looking for by going to the Demonic Valley, the place where the Moon Eclipse Sword was supposedly found. Does he belong to selfish humans who are quite greedy? Didn't he already have one between the two eclipse swords? Ls it?
Sung Han is a person who does not believe in the curse of the eclipse sword, no one else who thinks the same as Sung Han, basically he is against it. Sung Han thought that the eternal life of not being able to find the heir of the sword was quite impossible and absurd. Especially about the soul mate if the pair of swords is owned by a man and a woman, who made up the story?
But either the impulse or the whisper of the devil from where, made Sung Han gradually start to believe it even beyond his years. He did not realize if he himself began to believe what he thought was impossible.
Because of this, Sung Han was determined to get the Moon Eclipse Sword to then bury it with the Sun Eclipse Sword. In his understanding, the sword only brought calamity. There's no luck.
Deep into the forest, the situation is increasingly gripping with the presence of tall trees around. Sung Han looked here and there, his forehead wrinkled.
"Only ordinary forests, nothing strange.." he said slowly before looking down at the ground, "Then why do I feel something strange?"
It seems that the rumors regarding the Demonic Valley are true. To the extent that his awesomeness felt so far.
It took one day and one night to get out of the forest. In the morning just as the land was bright, Sung Han reached the end of the forest and saw by him a very long gorge. Stretching from east to west with a width of approximately fifty meters.
Sung Han was not too surprised to know that there were many people there. Surely they already know about the rumors of the eclipse sword, so that's why many groups come here.
"Some are coming again." whispered one of them sharing the company.
At once everyone's gaze was fixed on the newly arrived Sung Han. There were three large groups, one group in dark yellow uniforms, another one in a sky blue uniform, and another bright green one all made up of women.
"What party are you from?" asked a person in dark yellow clothes, whether he was from a college where Sung Han did not know because the person's clothes had no sign.
"You alone?" Sung Han asked back, "Also you guys?" his question then pointed at the people in sky blue clothes.
"We're two groups of merchants who are touring all over the land" said the person in the sky blue shirt.
"Why come here then? Want to trade?"
"No!" replied a yellow shirt who had asked Sung Han's party, "Only traders don't you think we can't be silat. You know the White Rajawali who has vanished without a trace? We're almost the same as them, only the difference is we're their merchants of inter-goods services."
"So you guys have a lot of silat experts? Because it came here about to hunt down the eclipse sword as per the rumors?"
"Yes!" answer in unison both representatives of the association.
"Which party are you from?" the yellow shirt asked.
"Little sister." suddenly there was a delicate voice from the right, Sung Han turned his head to find a beautiful woman of Yu Ceng's age. Wear a clean white veil with lotus flower embroidery right under the eyes.
"Sister, please go home. It's dangerous here" he said.
Sung Han saw the logo on top of the woman's right chest, soon he was able to conclude. "The Eagle Princess's representative? I didn't think you guys were coming either."
The woman said respectfully, "We are honored that a young man like you knows us."
Sung Han retorted back before asking, "What does the lady mean to tell me to go home? Expel?"
"No!" the veiled woman replied quickly, "Is there any danger waiting there?"
"No."
"Braggly!!" the woman looked angry, as did the other two gatherings. This clearly confused Sung Han's heart.
"Then do you also know what dangers await?" ask Sung Han casually.
"We know and we still have the fear to come to this place. And you a boy know nothing, casually come here. Hey, are you mocking?" the yellow shirt said.
"We were careful enough to get here and try to cross. Just looking at your comrades is enough to upset our hearts because you are using us." the veiled woman said, "Go home, we still have a heart."
"What do you mean use you?"
"Young boy, do you know how many wild animals we have killed in the forest. You're so good to come here after the road has been cleared by the blood of our brothers!!" the blue shirt snapped.
"And you don't know anything about the danger across there, it's like mocking us shit!" continue yellow shirt.
Sung Han was silent, looking at the three silent societies. Then he accidentally saw a long rope connecting the two sides of the gorge, like a bridge.
"Our brethren have been killed and vanished into their bodies. Either it was eaten by a monster in the forest before, or it fell down the ravine" said the veil.
"You're using the rope, aren't you? The people among us, what's the trouble?"
Sung Han's question that was too relaxed and did not think this made the woman tickle. His face was red and his body was trembling. He then forced Sung Han's hand while yelling.
"Little sister, try to cross this abyss with that rope, so you can understand!" he said, "We'll guard, you won't fall. Just look at how terrifying that abyss is!!"
"Are you trying to harm me or play?"
Sung Han reached the edge of the abyss, the woman still held her hand firmly. He took it off roughly and pointed at the rope with his chin.
"Cross it if it's easy for you!"
This young man looked down at the abyss, deep enough. The river that swirls far down there looks terrible, you know why this gorge is called the River Gorge.
Sung Han stared at the three large groups that seemed to be waiting, then he sighed. Without further ado, Sung Han immediately jumped into the middle of the rope making them all shocked instead of playing, as well as horrified.
"Ohh!!" the veiled woman from the Eagle Princess covered her veil-covered mouth with her arms so nervous. He wanted to ban Sung Han's guest, but the young man had already jumped a long way.
In the middle of the rope, it was strange. Sung Han was swayed by the rope in an unnatural state. He looked down almost like prostration.
His eyes widened perfectly with a slight hunting breath. But a second later, he managed to calm himself down and stand up straight. An incident that succeeded in making the three groups again exclaimed in horror.
"It is not natural, it is fitting that you say so. I'm sorry for my indecision, but I'll help you cross this chasm" he said, bowing deeply toward the three entourage.
