A Thousand Flowers

A Thousand Flowers
Chapters 13. Suspicious

During the return trip Izzah remained silent. He never responded to the jokes of Dimas and Abbas. Not even smiling. It is like being trapped in his own world.

Dimas and Abbas were completely astonished by Izzah's attitude, as if the girl had no emotions at all.

“Eh, Dim! You sure this is a human girl, not a robot? Or maybe some more demite. Hiiii .. serem!” Abbas whispered in Dimas' ear, shuddering.

PLOTS UP!

Dimas snatched Abbas's head. Abbas grimacing.

“If his feet are not broken,” Masyas whispered back in Abbas' ear.

Abbas dropped his gaze to the ground, watching Izzah's feet. He stroked his chest in relief as soon as he saw the girl walking on the ground, not hovering. A moment later, he grinned at Dimas.

Naimah was sweeping the courtyard when Izzah and the two foreign men arrived home. Izzah said hello and greeted Naimah. He respects and treats the woman like her real mother. Then, he immediately slid inside without further ado on the two men who came with him.

Dimas and Abbas looked at each other. They had been to Ki Daud's house many times, but they never knew that the woman who had worked for Ki Daud had a daughter, beautiful again.

“Please enter Den Dimas, Den Abbas!” Naimah invited Dimas and Abbas into the living room.

He leaned a broom on a pole on the porch, then entered the kitchen, making two cups of hot tea.

Izzah walked into Ki Daud's study. Putting the basket he carried on a long table, the place where Ki Daud used to prepare herbs. Then left the room and walked towards his room.

“Zah, here!” call Naimah from the living room when Izzah is just about to open the door.

Dimas and Abbas compactly stared at Izzah. Hope the girl meets Naimah's invitation.

“Sorry, Bi. I want to clean my body first. Odor nih,” repel delicate Izzah while sniffing a glimpse of his scent.

“Oh, yes already,” reply Naimah mafhum. Dimas and Abbas looked disappointed.

Izzah could still hear their chatter and laughter from the living room. In my heart Izzah wondered who Dimas and Abbas were. Seeing their familiarity with Naimah and Naimah's warm attitude welcoming them, it seemed like they knew each other for quite a long time.

“But .. ah already. It's none of my business,” Izzah said to himself, then grabbed the towel and moved towards the bathroom.

An hour later Izzah came out of his room in clean, fragrant clothes. His body feels fresh. Her face looks more beautiful and shining, even without makeup polish.

Ki Daud and Jumali came home from the hunt, brought two rabbits and handed them to Naimah. Dimas and Abbas greeted Ki Daud and Jumali. After a bit of pleasantries, Ki Daud and Jumali decided to clean up.

After the death of Ki Daud and Jumali, Abbas entered the tool room. He always took the time to admire the collection of weaponry Ki Daud every time he visited the house.

Dimas approached Ki Daud's study, opened the door slowly, then stepped in. Observe hundreds of bottles of ready-made herbs. Read each label on the bottle. Suddenly his eyes saw a small bottle filled with pomegranate-red liquid, hidden in the corner of the shelf. He picked up the bottle and frowned when he could find no label on it.

“Any. Why is this bottle hidden and not labeled?” ask him in his heart while continuing to observe the contents of the bottle.

I heard footsteps approaching. Dimas put the bottle back in its place. At the same time, the door opened. Ki Daud stepped in.

“Huh! Almost,” muttered Dimas exhaled a sigh of relief.

“So, Nak Dimas deliberately came here to take his own herbs that Miss Tiara needs?” ask Ki Daud as soon as Dimas follows him.

Ki Daud and Dimas enter a secret room. That room was Ki Daud's private laboratory. The size is not too large. However, it has cutting-edge equipment. It was there that Ki Daud worked on concocting various beauty care products and herbal medicines. Unfortunately, only for certain circles and not just anyone can meet directly with Ki Daud, let alone enter there. Only those closest to Ki Daud's confidants have access to it.

Izzah was busy sorting through the herbs he had picked, sorting each type according to its quality, inserting into the wooden boxes that had been labeled, he said, then reassemble the boxes on a shelf behind them. Because of his concentration, he was unaware of the presence of Ki Daud and Dimas in the room

“Zah, please help Nak Dimas prepare his needs yes!” pinta Ki Daud when he saw Izzah was in the room.

“Astagfirullah .…” Ki Daud's voice made Izzah jump in shock.

The box Izzah was holding crashed and hit his leg. Makes him grimace in pain,

“I'm sorry Ki. I accidentally,” said Izzah apologized, then tried to clean up the mess he made.

Ki Daud immediately came out when he saw Izzah's socks change color.

Dimas helped Izzah pick up the contents of the boxes scattered on the floor. Accidentally his hand caught Izzah's hand, as their hand intended to take the same item. Like a movie scene, Dimas and Izzah looked at each other. But, only for a moment. Izzah immediately lowered his head and pulled his hand. Quickly Izzah stood up after all the plants scattered on the floor had been put back in the box.

“Obati wound your foot with this!” ki Daud said, handing over a small bottle of brownish-yellow powder.

Izzah lifted up the skirt to look at her legs. There was blood on the socks he was wearing. Ki Daud's vision was very observant.

“Good, Ki. I will prepare the herbs first,” Izzah replied after receiving a small bottle from Ki Daud's hand.

“No need! Let me just set it up.” Dimas interrupted.

“It's okay, Sir. It's just a small wound.”

Izzah rejected Dimas' offer to replace him. He did not want to look like a crybaby and weak woman just because of a small wound.

Dimas stared at Izzah sharply. Inwardly he said, “This girl really has high self-esteem and is stubborn.”

“Then let me do it myself. Treat your wound immediately! The slightest injury can cause infection if treated late,” said Ki Daud to end the inner tension between Dimas and Izzah.

Izzah immediately left Ki Daud and Dimas. Ki Daud collected the various herbs that Dimas needed and placed them on the table. Dimas helped Ki Daud pack the drugs.

Ki Daud leaves Dimas and follows Izzah. After what he witnessed in the room at that time, he was curious about the identity of Izzah.
