A Thousand Flowers

A Thousand Flowers
Chapters 16. Temporary Diagnosis

After breakfast, Mr and Mrs Prasetyo took Izzah to Tiara's room. Dimas and Abbas also accompanied.

Inside a spacious and elegant room, a girl lay weakly. His face looked thin and pale. However, her beauty was still evident. Izzah believes the girl is Tiara, Dimas' older brother. A middle-aged woman had just finished cleansing Tiara's body.

The Dimas family was very concerned about Tiara's condition. Izzah approaching.

“How long has Kak Tiara been like this, Auntie?” ask Izzah.

He examined Tiara's eyes and every fingertip. Groping the pulse, hearing and counting the Tiara's heartbeat. Izzah did all that manually because he didn't bring any medical equipment with him.

“Since two months ago,” replied Mrs Prasetyo

“Have been checked to the doctor?”

“Already. At that time the condition was not this severe. According to the doctor he was just stressed and exhausted. So, we asked Ki Daud.” for herbs

“No change yet?" Izzah felt something was awkward.

“The place improved, but these two weeks he was acting a bit strange,” continued Mrs Prasetyo. His tone sounded sad.

“Means, Aunt?” Izzah tried to dig a history of Tiara's disease deeper.

He does not want to misdiagnose, especially without medical equipment. Wrongly taking the conclusion, Tiara's life is at stake.

“At first he looked happy, as if he had no problems,” explained Mrs Prasetyo.

“But then, she often felt dizzy and vomited. In fact, some days he seems to have lost consciousness. We thought he was just asleep, but it was hard to wake up,” he said at length.

Izzah listened to Mrs Prasetyo's explanation earnestly. His brain thought hard. He continued to research every milli of the fingertips and fingernails of the Tiara closely.

After he finished examining Tiara, Izzah walked out of the room. Dimas' parents took him to sit in the living room. Izzah asked Dimas' parents to show him the drugs that Tiara had taken, both medical and herbal medicines.

“Bi Ira, please get Tiara medicine yes!” mrs Prasetyo's orders to the woman who used to take care of Tiara. Bi Ira rushed off.

“What do you think Tiara hurts?” mrs Prasetyo asked Izzah, worried about her son's condition.

Izzah sighed. He must answer very carefully.

“Please excuse me, Auntie. I dare not conclude. I think it would be better if Kak Tiara was taken to the hospital for further examination.”

Mrs Prasetyo looks a little disappointed.

Mr. Prasetyo smiled slightly. Inwardly he said, “This girl is not rash and very careful. It's not wrong Ki Daud believed him.”

Not long after, the woman in charge of treating Tiara came with the drugs Izzah asked for. Izzah started checking for medical drugs. Researching its type and expiration date. All safe.

Izzah then took herbal medicines. Although he was sure Ki Daud could not give just any medicine, Izzah kept checking it. In addition to reading the label, Izzah also smelled the aroma. Same. All safe. Nothing is strange.

“Then, what's wrong?” ask Izzah in your heart.

According to the results of his examination in a simple and visible, Tiara showed symptoms of poisoning. If not from expired drugs, then where?

“What kak Tiara certain food allergies, Auntie?” izzah asked after putting back the medicines she was examining on the table.

Izzah was getting clueless, but he didn't want to give up. There must be something wrong. He's sure of it.

“Then ... are there certain foods or drinks that Kak Tiara has been consuming lately?" Izzah continues

probing

Mrs Prasetyo thought for a moment, then said, “Only tea has fallen. Is that a problem? Tiara really likes tubruk tea.”

“Can I see the tea, Auntie?” pinta Izzah's.

He felt this was the last possibility. If wrong, he could do nothing more than advise Dimas' parents to immediately take Tiara to the hospital.

Not long after, Bi Ira came to bring the tea Izzah asked for. Izzah immediately took out a pinch of that green tea and placed it on his palm. He noticed the dried tea leaves. Looks a little weird. Curious, Izzah then smelled it. He nodded steadily.

“There's something wrong with the tea?” madam Prasetyo asked after seeing Izzah's expression.

“It looks like so, Auntie. There is another mixture in this tea. I guess, that's what caused Kak Tiara poisoning.” Izzah's reply left everyone in the room shocked.

“What? Who would have the heart to deliberately poison Tiara?” Mr. Prasetyo growled furiously.

“To make sure, should the tea be brought to the laboratory to be checked,” replied Izzah calmly.

Abbas got out to start the car. Dimas snatched the tea on the table, rushed after Abbas.

Ki Daud stared at the big tree on the edge of the lake Kembang Setaman, like waiting for something. His eyes did not blink. I don't know how long he's been standing there. Every now and then he glanced at the clock that was coiling on his right arm, then looked back at the tree.

“If that girl is really your son, I'm sure you'll open this door, Rahmi. I'm waiting for you.” Ki Daud said slowly expectantly.

In a cramped, dusty room, a middle-aged woman looks busy looking for something. She is Mother Izzah. His eyes scrutinized every corner of the space intently. He took down every box he found. Several times he breathed a sigh of disappointment because he did not find what he was looking for.

As he grew tired and almost desperate, he suddenly saw a small box squeezed into a corner of the room. Mother Izzah immediately got rid of objects that became obstacles. Raise the small box and clean the dust that covers it. Then, he came out of that space without tidying it up again.

Mother Izzah locked the door to the room, then sat on the edge of the bed. Stole the little box he brought from the warehouse. For a moment he seemed doubtful. However, he finally ventured to open the box.

Shaking, his hand grabbed a yellowish-white piece of worn paper. Open the paper slowly. There is a painting of a large tree on the edge of a lake surrounded by flowers.

Mother Izzah sighed while closing her eyes. Suddenly a clear circle flowed on both of his cheeks that began to wrinkle. He opened his eyes slowly. His old fingers line the edge of the lake in the painting. Next, he grabbed a strand of white gold necklace in the middle of the paper fold.

The necklace pendant is in the form of Rafflesia flowers made of red beryl stone with diamond in the middle.

Mother Izzah grasped the locket tightly.

“Yes Allah, if this is the only path I have to take so that my son can return, I am willing to sacrifice my life, as long as my son survived,” lamented Mother Izzah Turtle.

His tears are flowing more and more. Mother Izzah unfurled the painting on the floor. Carefully, he placed the pendant he was holding in the middle of a large tree tree on the shore of the lake, in a painting. He stood, waiting. Suddenly there appeared a bright beam of light blinding the eyes.
