A Thousand Flowers

A Thousand Flowers
Chapters 97. Hopefully Worried

I don't feel like time passes so quickly. Towards the peak of winter all the plants seem to freeze. Forming a snow hill here and there. Temperatures reach minus six degrees. A fantastic number to make the blood stop flowing if you do not find a source of warmth when outside the house.

Izzah was still curled into a roll. For some reason, since the last few days he was lazy to move even if just getting out of bed. The thick blanket seemed to have bewitched him to feel at home for a long time languishing in the embrace of dreams.

“Let's wake up, Princess Sleep! Don't let the sun laugh at you, ” seductive Shin Seo Hyun, uncovers a blanket from Izzah's body.

“Aaaah .. I still want to be here,” Izzah's whine spoiled while pulling back the blanket that her husband revealed.

“Mandi first! I have prepared warm water for you,”, Shin Seo Hyun persuaded.

Izzah shook his head as he bit the edge of the blanket after lowering the part covering his face. Shin Seo Hyun's eyebrows fused together. Feel surprised. Lately his wife always refused when told to take a shower. And with a heavy heart do it accompanied by a mouthful of inches when forced. Usually, the sound of the door slammed hard. It's like it's not the Izzah he knows.

After bargaining and various persuasions, Izzah finally relented as well. Reluctantly, he dragged a step towards the bathroom.

HUEEK! HUEEK!

Izzah spewed his stomach into the toilet. A shower of Shin Seo Hyun, who was still standing not far from the door, ran over to his wife.

“Why, Honey? You okay?” shin Seo Hyun asked, anxious to hear Izzah vomit. I sat down on Izzah gently.

“I'm fine, Mas. Maybe the wind because the weather is too cold,” replied Izzah slowly while wiping the rest of the vomit.

Face paled. His head feels dizzy. It feels like riding a high speed roller coaster. His knees were weak as if powerless. Pitying his wife's condition, Shin Seo Hyun pushed Izzah back into bed and laid her down.

GREPS!

Izzah grabbed Shin Seo Hyun's hand as her husband was about to leave her.

“What's up? You want me to set up a special menu for your breakfast?” shin Seo Hyun asked while sitting on the edge of the bed caressing Izzah.

Izzah shook his head and patted the mattress, gesturing for Shin Seo Hyun to lie on his side. For a moment Shin Seo Hyun frowned. Izzah felt increasingly strange, but his wife's glare seemed to be a powerful magnet that paralyzed his nerves until he could not resist Izzah's request.

As soon as Shin Seo Hyun was right next to her, Izzah immediately clenched her head and buried her head in the recess of Shin Seo Hyun's neck and sniffed the fragrant scent emanating from her husband's body.

“Let me like this for a while,” whispered Izzah, tightening his decapitation.

Shin Seo Hyun let out a long sigh and rubbed Izzah's back. Enjoying his wife's indulgence with a flowery heart.

“Weather gets colder. You better check it out. I'm afraid you're okay,” advice Shin Seo Hyun.

“If you don't want to go to the hospital, I'll do it. How?” continues asking. Find a way to answer her curiosity.

“I don't think it's necessary, Mas. It's only temporary. I'm sure tomorrow will improve,” reject Izzah stubbornly.

“Good. But if tomorrow morning you still vomit, you must obey my request yes ..” said Shin Seo Hyun relented. Izzah nodded, making Shin Seo Hyun's eyeballs glow.

The next day, Izzah was forced to give up on Shin Seo Hyun's decision. Inevitably she received a test pack offered by her husband after the contents of her stomach drained out in the morning forced themselves into the bathroom.

For a moment Izzah stood staring at the test pack in his grasp. Hearts doubt. The surgeon's explanation in the consultation room a few years ago when he was still in High School reverberated in his memory.

“So, how did it go, Doc?” asked Izzah, holding back the shame to know the truth of his health condition.

The doctor smiled. Trying to reduce the anxiety of the girl sitting in front of him.

“So, have to be operated, Doc?” ask Izzah again.

The doctor was silent. Staring fixed Izzah with the look of pity of a father.

“From the medical side, surgery is the best way considering its size is already quite large, but .…” The doctor paused his speech as if in doubt.

“But what, Doc?” chase Izzah to know.

The doctor put his hands together on the table, looked at Izzah with a warm and gentle gaze, then let out a friendly sigh.

“If you believe in herbs, there's no harm in trying. It's just that the reaction may be a little slow and need discipline,” said the doctor gave an alternative, then told the story of a doctor's wife who could recover from uterine cancer after routinely consuming decoction of tea.

Izzah was interested to hear about other solutions offered by the doctor.

“Thank you, Doc. I will try it,” said Izzah, confident in his choice.

“Please remember, I said that not as a doctor, but rather as a father who also has a daughter your age. I hope you understand what I mean,” continued the doctor again.

“Yes, Doc. Thank you,” replied Izzah, very understanding.

Izzah was just about to leave when the doctor said.

“But .. there is one more thing you should know,” said the doctor was a little worried.

“Tell me, Doc! Whatever it is, I'll take it with chest area,” Izzah said quickly, casting off any doubts looming on the face of the doctor sitting in front of him.

A faint smile rose on the doctor's lips to face the reality of how wise and mature Izzah's mindset was.

“Rahimmu ... It looks like you also have cervical incompetence,” continued the doctor in a low tone. Izzah's forehead is wrinkled. I don't understand what the doctor said.

“For now you should just focus on cyst treatment first. Don't think too much about what I just said,” she continued when the girl in front of her looked confused.

“Good, Doc. Thank you,” said Izzah while standing alone. Get out of the room with an erratic heart.

On the way home, Izzah was agitated and kept thinking about the doctor's words.

“Hem .. fine. I will fight hard to get into the Faculty of Medicine after graduating later,” Izzah determined. All for the sake of answering the riddle that was running through his mind.

Huuh! Haaah!

Izzah took a deep, deep breath. His eyes had not switched from the test pack he was holding.

Outside the bathroom, Shin Seo Hyun walked back and forth unsettled. His heart was nervous waiting for the results of the Izzah test pack. Many times he looked up and prayed, then returned back and forth restlessly and occasionally biting the nails of his thumb. Increasingly restless, Shin Seo Hyun leaned his forehead against the wall piled up by the arms.

THE KREEET!

I heard the bathroom door open. Shin Seo Hyun turned and greeted Izzah who came out with her head bowed lethargic while hiding the test pack results in her hands.

“How was the result?” shin Seo Hyun asked curiously as she held onto Izzah's shoulders. His chest moved down. Hope anxious.
